Great location! Staff was great. I don't usually stay in big hotels but because of Covid it was hard to find some place to stay that was (almost) fully open and fully staffed. Everyone was always helpful and very pleasant. The location is great. It isn't waterfront but super close. Bed was comfy and the room had everything we needed. Took my wife to Seattle for a weekend getaway and this was a fantastic hotel! Near Pike Place Market and in a central location for my wife and I to walk for shopping, which she loved! Staff was super nice and helpful. The room was spacious and the bathroom was immaculate! Ruth Chris was downstairs and room service was available but we didnt get a chance as we were too full from our dinner. The only gripe was my wife hearing other bathrooms at night. Favorite hotel in Seattle!! I have stayed at about 8 downtown hotels and I would choose this one every time if I could. Love the lobby and the rooms. The bathrooms are amazing with a huge tub! The location is great and you feel very safe in this hotel. If I was traveling alone this hotel would make me feel very secure. Only complaints...the linens are terrible. I am not super picky when it comes to towels or sheets. However the bottom "fitted" sheet came off and bunched up super easy because it was not big enough for the bed it barely tucked under the mattress. The towels are old and thin. This hotel is way to nice to have bad linens. Otherwise this hotel is great. Staff is friendly and nice. Parking is also expensive but everyone hotel downtown is about the same price. Best suggestion is to find an independent parking garage nearby that will save you at least $20-30 a night depending on the day of the week. You won't regret staying here! read more

This is our second time staying at a Grand Hyatt. Our first time was a few years ago in DC. So we were pretty sure we would be OK in Seattle, after our pleasant experience in DC. Centrally located downtown. Within walking distance to so many attractions and restaurants. We were not wrong. From check in to check out, everything went well. A bell hop loaded up our bags when we arrived. Once in the room, he pointed out all the amenities and how each one worked. Very thorough and much appreciated. We needed some money broken down into smaller bills. Went to the front desk. No problem. Done. There is a kiosk in the lobby with computer/printer to access and print your boarding passes. Nice. Thanks. Our room was on the water side of the building. We could see to the harbor. The Pike Public Market was just down the street. There is a Ruth's Chris, sushi restaurant and a Starbucks on the premises. More nice. The Starbucks came in handy during those super early start mornings. They open at 5:30 am. Sweet. Every staff person we interacted with was professional and friendly. The night doorman always asked how our day had been and we chatted a bit about the Mariners loss to our Rangers when we returned from the game. Good, congenial banter. We would certainly recommend trying this Grand Hyatt when in Seattle. read more

We went here for my birthday weekend: Perfect location walked to Pike Place Market, Umi sake house {favorite sushi spot} among other places. There are lot's of shops, and restaurants and the mall is near by. I didn't get a chance to take advantage of most of the amenities like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse being next door, the spa or the gym, but they do have a sushi spot, a Starbucks and a a wonderful deli shop connected to the hotel. Cheesecake Factory and Regal Theaters are also right across the street. The rooms were nice and clean, bed was comfortable, I LOVED the bathroom, and their customer service was the best. I think we paid $50 a day to park in the adjacent parking lot. As much as we love to Seattle for a quick get-away, we'll definitely come back and stay here. read more

Location Location close to everything next to pacific place for shopping and a 10 minute walk from pikes place. Easily accessible from the airport you can take the light rail to the westlake station and its a two block walk. Staff was friendly and attentive and the hotel is in excellent condition. I had a high floor corner suite with sweeping views of the city. Living room was separated from the bedroom by a hallway with foldout couch. I travel a lot for work and leisure. At times you come across a hotel that really makes you feel welcomed and at home. This was the case, here at Grand Hyatt! We got to the hotel an hour before check in but the friendly young man checked us in without any issues. Check in took about 2 minutes! We had the PURE room that had the air purifier in the room. Everything was hypoallergenic and very comfortable! We had a nice view and really enjoyed our stay! I love that there are restaurants, a deli, sushi place and a Starbucks on the premises! That's super convenient!!! It's located within walking distance to everything that's popular must do's in the area. It's a block away from the Monorail to the Needle. It's the perfect spot for the Convention centre and all must see areas! The concrete park is right next to the Convention centre which is only a block away! They kept our room nice and clean for the four days we stayed here and check out was quick, via television. Whether you're here for pre or post cruise vacation, this is absolutely the perfect place to stay when in Seattle! We'll definitely be back for a longer stay next time! read more

I booked this hotel for the Flume 2022 concert at Wamu. I was a bit reluctant given the price of the hotel (kinda broke post grad student) but wow, am I so glad I did. This hotel was an EXPERIENCE in itself. We got a free upgrade & early check in (yay!). Our room was the club deluxe and it was beautiful. The bathroom was gorgeous and so white and luxurious. I was very impressed how clean it was, too. White marble truly shows dirt, and this bathroom was spotless. Housekeeping is great here. We were given access to the free lounge with unlimited snacks as well. I previously booked a hotel for Chvrches for later this month, but I will be canceling and rebooking with Hyatt. There is a parking garage next to Hyatt and overnight secure parking is $32. Overall, a forever Hyatt girlie. Great staff, beautiful hotel and views, and clean rooms. read more

I travel quite a bit for work. I have to say Hyatt is my preferred hotel. My family and I came to Seattle just to enjoy the stay. So we decided to stay at the Grand Hyatt. It was really nice here. The room was really clean. Yes I was given the opportunity to upgrade. But the issue is that I really need the two double bed. The upgrade room was just a king bed and a sofa bed. Not sure if I want to sleep on the sofa bed. The room was nice and spacious. The astonishing part is the washroom. We were so surprised how nice the bathroom was. It had a stand-alone shower and a tub. It was spacious. Because I am a globalist of Hyatt, I was given access to the club lounge. Nice. It was more then just continental breakfast. For breakfast there were smoke salmon, ham, egg and cheese croissants. There were lots of different kind of drinks to choose from. At night time, there are appetizers. As well, there were desserts at the very end. I loved the macaroons they had there. Service was wonderful. Anything you need, all you need to call downstairs and it was taken care of in a very timely manner. Overall, we had a great time staying there. Highly recommend coming here. read more

We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed. We traveled with our Maltese and they were so accommodating. Food and water bowls and a bed were waiting for him upon check in. Their valet service for our rental car was so easy and much appreciated as parking can be scarce in the city. The hotel has a Starbucks, a convenience store, and a Ruth's Chris steakhouse. This was so nice to be able to grab coffee and breakfast before heading out for the day. They have water and coffee in the room as well which is convenient as well. It's really just personal preference. Their fitness center is amazing. They have two peloton cycles. Plenty of other cardio machines and a full weight circuit and free dumbbells as well. I was impressed and so happy to have this available to me during my stay. They have towels that are refrigerated with eucalyptus. So refreshing after a sweaty workout. They also have a spa here which I didn't get to partake in, but I would like to check it out next time. Location, location, location! This was our first time staying at the Grand Hyatt and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Located in the heart of downtown, our hotel was a stone's throw away from many popular neighborhoods and tourist destinations such as Pike Place Market and the Seattle Waterfront. We barely took Ubers our whole trip because we were able to walk to most places on our itinerary. The room we stayed in had a nice view and was lovely, modern and spacious with comfortable bedding and blackout shades. But the bathroom, my goodness, was the actual highlight of the room! Not only did the bathroom feature a nice shower but also a large bathtub with modern fixtures. After spending our time walking around in the cold all day, nothing beat soaking in a hot bath. Since we visited during the holiday season, the hotel lobby was beautifully decked out with Christmas decorations. Other amenities included a spa, gym and sauna which we didn't get the chance to check out. Overall, we had an excellent weekend stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. read more

Ditto the others reviewers sharing about their item lost/ stolen in the Grand Hyatt hotel and hasn't received their items back. I literally left my Canon OEM charger in the 2924 room next to the writing desk and I called the lost and found AKA Grant Hyatt security right after I checked out the hotel to let them know right away, and for every day I called back to follow up with them but they kept saying they didn't find anything. They claimed that "the housekeepers would turn in everything even someone's dirty underwear". I actually can't trust the security because they seem to be the only channel that guests can reach out to for their lost items and if they just brushed me off then what can I do? Additionally, dirty underwear is probably not worth money but has anyone turned in a gold necklace?? Check out other people's review about their lost items. I can't trust to put anything important in the room. On top of this, I booked my hotel with Concur and I booked the room specifically with bathtub included but the room 2924 only had a shower room with two super low pressure shower heads. The complimentary WIFI was so slow I was hardly able to get any work done. I can't even use video call, it just keeps dropping. I want to enjoy my experience here yet I believe this is my worse experience in a "grand hyatt". The only reason I added one more star is because the front desk was friendly and they understood I had a long flight so they gave me complimentary water right after my arrival. The service for food and the housekeepers were friendly and I even left tips because I felt people were so nice until I couldn't get my OEM Canon charger back. Very disappointing stay after all.. Super convenient location right in downtown Seattle and very easy to access on public transportation. Rooms are beautiful with a warm, but modern vibe. View from my room was nice, even though it wasn't the premium view. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space to spread out my bags. We had planned a weekend camping but got rained out, so decided to have a staycation instead and found a decent rate on a corner king deluxe room. I was surprised to have to be buzzed into the lobby--a little weird, but understandable with how downtown Seattle can be these days. I also noticed that the hotel lobby was eerily empty, which makes sense given that we are still in a pandemic, but still felt odd. Check in was very smooth. I was so pleasantly surprised by how large the room was--a little living room with a short hallway leading to the bedroom, two TVs, a mini fridge, decent closet space. There was free WiFi which is always appreciated! I loved the floor to ceiling windows with the partial water views. Since I live in Seattle, it was interesting to even just see the tops of buildings like: "Wow, that's what Pacific Place looks like from above!!" We got room service for dinner and breakfast and I seriously would check back in just for those Liege Waffles. So delicious! The bed was quite firm but comfortable for us and those black out shades kept everything nice and dark until we were ready to get up. I did note some minor damage to some of the furniture (scuffed table, very creaky couch)--a little refresh would be nice, but I think everything still felt upscale overall. I really don't enjoy Downtown (does anyone?), but this is definitely the nicest part to be in. I would stay again in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone coming to town! read more

Stayed here over the weekend with a couple of girlfriends and it was amazing! Location was superb; close to the mall and tons of food places; right in the heart of downtown- a 7 min walk to pike's place and the seattle art museum. (We walked everywhere- hmart, target, starbucks reserve, danbo ramen, din tai fung, nordstrom rack and more) Everything was clean, staff was so friendly. Really enjoyed the lounge (free water and snacks, and great view) and complimentary breakfast service. The rooms were a good size and housekeeping did a great job tidying up. Bathtub was a plus in the bathroom too; they included bath bombs, salts and plenty of toiletries. (For girls, we appreciate the extra bathroom additions) Also, they had indoor slippers!! Grand Hyatt in Seattle was awesome in every way!! We stayed in a lot of hotels but Grand Hyatt has definitely stood out from the rest. We arrived to the hotel around 11:00am on a Saturday and the staff was friendly and offer to try to help us find a room so we can check in early. Even though he wasn't able to find a room at the time, it was nice of him to offer to help. We ended up leaving our bags and he found a room available an hour later. The room was clean and we had a nice view of the city. The hotel has the best location, we were able to walk to Pike's market and even to the Capital Hill area. The highlight of our trip was the free breakfast room service (included in our vacation package) we received on both days of our stay. I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Seattle to everyone! read more

JUST ALRIGHT Making a little vacation out of a 39hr trip to PNW. I'm ready to go home to Cali. It's only "the Hyatt" to me, the "Grand" wasn't fully earned in my experience. An average a night here is near $250+ per night but the experience felt like $125. - great view - comfy bed - clean, spacious, nice rooms - black out shades are the best But (don't hate me!) 1. Called asking where to park the car and was directed to enter the parking lot next to Cheesecake Factory. You cannot come or go as you please unless you are Valet. So where do guest park again who opt out valet? I ended up parking where the valet people park cars, then went to front desk inquiring about parking. I did it backwards, I parked my own car in valet, dropped off keys with valet 4 floors below to issue a valet ticket for my car. 2. I've ask several times for a steamer and was told "we will send it up to your room"... guess what, it never came. Next morning, never came. 3. Room service isn't 24hrs although there is an "all day" menu. When you get back to the room at 2am and hungry... you go to sleep hAngry. 4. No tub. Only a tiny walking in shower. I was excited do a bubble bath after a long day. Yah, didn't happen. 5. No "Do not disturb" door badge. Someone knocked on my door, didn't answer, because I didn't want to be disturbed. 6. You can hear next door guest turn on their shower and run. AND loud children couple doors down. Not as sound proof as I expected. 7. During check out I was asked how my stay was. I mentioned #6 and the front desk lady looked at me as if I was weird and proceeded with checkout. Uhm.. Why don't you stay in #1209 and let me know your experience?! Why ask when you really don't care. Overall, lobby staff provide excellent service. They were very friendly in the lobby and courteous when requested to deliver items to the room. This is my hotel of choice in Seattle. I don't know how many times I have stayed here but it's at least 30. Just back from a three night stay. We had the Emerald Suite on the 30th Floor with a view straight down Pine to the market and Elliott Bay. I always enjoy watching the ferries come and go. Room was spotless as usual. Great bathroom! There is a deli and a Starbucks right off the lobby on the 7th Avenue side of the hotel and a Ruth's Chris on the 8th Avenue side. Very walkable to the market and the waterfront. We love this hotel! We upgraded to a corner suite this time. Second time staying here when visiting Seattle. Our room was #2815. Boy was it a nice room with uhhhhhmazing views. We had a huge window facing the ocean and then two other huge windows facing the convention center area. There was a couch in a separate room and fridge too. Bathroom was huge. Everything was so clean. We loved having a Ruth Chris and Starbucks in the lobby. No valet right now because of covid but self parking was very easy and a close walk from lobby. read more

I stay at a lot of hotels and I noticed a positive difference at Grand Hyatt Seattle. All the little details added up. Let me see if I can remember. Check-in was a breeze. The woman at the front desk was fast and friendly. I forgot a couple items and made a request at night. The front desk guy was cordial and the things were delivered promptly. I forgot to tip her :((( There is a guy who opens the door for you even though you are not coming from valet or a car. My bathroom had a big tub and a separate shower. The shower was bigger than at other hotels. The robe was wrapped around itself and hung up nicely. Got two pairs of slippers to walk around the room in. The bathroom counter had plenty of room for my stuff. View is nice. The windows have an electric shade to keep light out, if you want that. Bed was comfy and clean. The room had a little stand where I set up my suitcase. The desk/table was clean and had room for me to work. They have on-site amenities and the hotel is located right by the convention center, shopping, and mass transit. There is a Starbucks and a conveyor sushi belt place attached to the hotel. First thing I noticed from the jump was that the front desk associate was extremely friendly. This was my birthday trip and she started my first time in Seattle off at a great start. Getting in the elevator I noticed it had a key card scanner but you did not need it to get up to the room. I am not sure if this feature was deactivated or what the issue was. The room was great! Clean, spacious and housekeeping was so friendly. The only issue occasionally was parking. You park in an underground garage and some of the spots are taken up by rental car companies. There is a decent amount of Parking but cars that are not economically friendly or compact will still be parked in the spaces. Parking was not a nightmare but could be a slight inconvenience at times. Other than that the stay was amazing and I would definitely go back. read more

I l enjoyed my 2-day stay at the Grand Hyatt Seattle. My room was nice with great views on the water and a king bed. I got to order room service one morning and got a delicious grand omelet with asparagus and crab. It was served with hash browns and toast. The server who brought it over, Brian, was very professional and friendly. The whole staff of this hotel was great. One thing I did notice on my first day in the room was how dusty all the furniture was. I was hoping that the next morning, this would be taken care of. But no, still super dusty. That wasn't ideal. Another thing I'd probably change in the entrance of the room is the tile floor. It gets you even colder on chilly Seattle days. Other than that, the location is great and the hotel is quiet. My car was broken into after getting the valet service. The front desk person was totally dismissive about the issue and the valet people promised me their claims group would cover getting the window fixed. Moments ago I just got an email (not even a call!) from their claims department denying the claim with no reason. I will never, ever stay here again. Steer clear of these people. UPDATE: The valet team's director called me and told me the guy who promised me a credit has done this several times before and that they were never going to give me a credit to begin with. Honestly if they had just said that in the beginning I wouldn't have wasted my time talking to so many people. But now that I have I will not go quietly in the night. DO NOT VALET HERE! read more
