Had a really wonderful stay here. The staff is great and accommodating, service with a smile. They also upgraded me to a corner suite, and it was my first time using Hyatt! The room was wonderful, one of the best hotel beds I've slept in. There's also a Starbucks connected which is super convenient for the mornings. On my last day they were really nice to take my luggage and let me hang out in the lobby as I waited for my flight. The hotel is in a great location and we were lucky enough to be in a room with a view of the bay, which was great. The room was decent sized but in desperate need of an update. All of the furniture had visible damage and wear and tear. The curtains didn't really work. The shower took forever to get warm and when the people in the room next door flushed the toilet, the hot water went out and it was freezing. I had no idea that still happened in 2021 but here we are. At night they lock the doors to the hotel, which is pretty normal. But unlike most places that have a card reader to gain access, here you need to ring a bell for the front desk to let you in. No big deal except for when we got back to the hotel at around 11:30pm and rang the bell for a good five minutes with no response. Luckily another guest came out and held the door open for us to get in. The big problem was with the parking. They offered two options, parking across the street and parking a couple of blocks away at the Hyatt Regency for less than half of the price. We chose the cheaper option and as it turns out, that was a terrible mistake. Two of the three nights, the lot was completely full when we got back. Not a single space open and half a dozen cars circling the lot trying to find parking. Each night we ended up having to find street parking much further away. When we called the front desk to ask about getting refunded for the two nights we couldn't park in the lot, we were told that the lot was first come first serve so we were not guaranteed a spot. No one told us this when we checked in and we were irate. Charging for parking that you can't even guarantee is nothing short of a scam. After a lot of arguing they eventually relented and gave us a refund, but it left a bitter taste in our mouths since spending a bunch of time on the phone arguing about the scam your hotel is trying to run on you isn't a great way to spend a vacation. read more

I just LOVE Grand Hyatt's. They are amongst my favorite all time hotel chains. Because of the meeting I had, this was the place I quickly went to. As with all the GH's I've been to, the staff are top notch and really enjoy their jobs. From the doorman who gave me local advice, to the receptionist who was from my home town in Texas, to the bell hops - they are all top flight. Well done Leadership team for finding & keeping great people. The room was awesome. Nice quality touches, super clean, roomy and an unbelievably nice bathroom. Many of the hotel rooms I've stayed in can fit within their bathroom. Check out others' photos and they don't do it justice. The only downside I had is that the view sucked. I need to be more loyal or somehow rate higher on their points meter. I have just an awesome view of the roof of a movie theater, the side of an office and apartment and not much else. I hear everyone rave about the water views. My only water view appeared when it rained. If you don't mind the view (or you rate high enough to get one), there should be no other place within your set of choices. read more

Absolutely fabulous location. Walking distance to Pike Place Market, tons of shopping, gorgeous pier views, breweries and the Amazon Go store (haha). Unless you plan to venture deep into Seattle, you probably won't even need to Uber. Not to mention the accommodations are great. My city view room was spacious and luxurious. There's a Ruth Chris Steakhouse and Starbucks located directly inside the hotel but there are so many other eating options around, I'd explore a bit! read more

Great location within walking distance to Pikes Market and several restaurants. The customer service here is incredible. Every person we interacted with was super friendly always saying hello how are you etc. The room was nice with a beautiful view of the city lights. The beds are comfy, but were only a full size, not queen which makes it tough for two adults to sleep comfortably. The tub is huge, shower is also a great size. No microwave in the room but they will bring one upon request which is convenient! Nice mini fridge and huge flat screen tv. The a/c vent is tiny and located in a far away corner that does not really cool the room. Overall the price for the room size and location is good. read more

The photos don't do it justice, the service is top notch, the location is in the middle of everything that downtown Seattle has to offer, and the views are incredible. We very much enjoyed our stay here for the past week for the 2017 Microsoft Build conference, and the Grand Hyatt is right next door to the conference center. OK I don't even know where to begin. Let's do some shout outs! Mustafa at the valet is amazing! He always took care of us from start to finish!My family and I stayed for a week and Mustafa was so helpful. One day my mom forgot her phone in the car and he was able to retrieve it with no delay! He was so gentle with our luggage too! The ladies in the concierge lounge was super helpful too. The food they served was always delicious! Ask for the local cheese called flagship. Please whatever you do visit the steam room! Grab an ice cold eucalyptus towel in the gym fridge. Take it to the hot steamy sauna and place the towel over your face. It's probably the best thing ever! The rooms were perfect! It had a large bathroom with all the amenities a luxury hotel has. Use the robes! I can't wait to visit again! read more

We visited Seattle for the weekend and stayed here. The rooms were VERY clean. I wiped everything down on my own (covid) and not even dust was on the wipe! Great room service also. The food was better than most "in room dining" food. The location being right down town was perfect! Our room was on the 23rd floor and facing the lake...beautiful views! This hotel was super nice. It is an easy ride in from the airport. The stop you get off at is about a 6 minute walk. The hotel is definitely 5 star, from checking in to getting to our room. My favorite part was the auto push button to open and lower the blinds from your bedside! My sister and law were staying here two nights to run a half marathon in Seattle. We requested a late check out so we could come back after the race and shower before heading ot the airport that evening. Not only did we get our late check out, when we came back from our run housekeeping had left us 4 bottles of water and some small cold towels! This hotel went above and beyond. Fantastic hotel and great service. Though I am Seattle local I decided to spend a day at the Grand Hyatt over the Christmas break and explore the city. It was well worth it and Hyatt was exemplary. They are centrally located to the shopping scene as well as most of the touristy spots - pike place market, monorail to Space needle and EMP, Seattle Arts Museum etc Also close enough to walk to tons of bars and restaurants in bell town or Capitol hill. Also uber to most of the happening places in and around downtown Seattle only comes up to $6 max. So no need to drive if you just want to hang out in the Seattle area. The pricing was also well within acceptable range for the location and type of hotel. Highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Seattle. read more

Now, it's more of a 3. When we first stayed here for our 5 year (dating) anniversary, we didn't have much of anything and flying to Seattle for a week long vacation was a huge splurge for us. Location is pretty good. It's in downtown Seattle, close to Pike Place Market and shopping. The original (first in the U.S.) Nordstrom is about a block away. The hotel itself houses a few restaurants downstairs along with a Starbucks, would you expect any less with Seattle being its first home? Service is good, not great. The rooms are the same as their customer service. Their beds were comfy enough, but I've definitely slept on better ;) We only booked this place the second time around for nostalgic purposes so it did its job. Lol read more

Let's just say I really missed my room on the 47th Floor at the Westin that I had been at during my previous stay in the Emerald City... The Grand Hyatt wasn't bad per se... but it's certainly not my first choice now that I know I have experienced better within close proximity. I flew into town for the Rock n Roll marathon, and had requested a little bit of an early check in, which I am ever so grateful they were able to accommodate. However, the views were not great - 12th Floor doesn't provide any of the sweeping views I had at the Westin. My floor also seemed extremely noisy, as soon as I attempted to go to bed - I was left wondering if someone was actually coming into my room several times throughout the evening (not, the type of restful evening I'd imagined before an early Saturday race). I'm from So CA so each time a door opened and slammed I thought we were having an earthquake. Not peaceful. average) but slightly above average from the norm. Great soaking tub (which I should have used), decent shower, and a good amount of room with sufficient lighting. In addition, just earlier this month I was in a different city for a different race and the close attention that was provided to those staying there running in the marathon was really great. The room itself was ok, not very spacious. The king size mattress was ok but certainly not the most comfy compared to many other wonderful hotels I've had the pleasure of staying at. The bathroom was slightly above average (not Vegas Bellagio Penthouse above This hotel however, paid no different attention to registered runners which stood out to me since I had just been at a hotel that did. They also had no fresh water or snacks available in the lobby for guest. The convenience of checking in and printing my boarding pass from the lobby was helpful. Overall, it was an ok experience but I wouldn't rebook in the future. read more

I usually stay on the Eastside when I'm in the Emerald City but I made an exception last summer when I had some new tourist sights to explore As the Grand Hyatt had a good deal on Expedia and it was close to Hertz's downtown location, I decided to give this hotel a whirl. It is in a great location within walking distance of virtually all tourist sights all the way up to Seattle Centre and the cool restaurants of Capitol Hill There is shopping, food and entertainment of all sorts just around the hotel. I loved catching a midnight movie at the nearby multiplex and being able to stroll back to my bed My room was very comfortable and clean in a corporate way. Air conditioning was welcome in the muggy conditions but I didn't succumb to paying for internet connection, I'm still mystified why the guests of higher end hotels put up with having to pay for internet access when cheaper hotels give it for free. The same goes for car parking - I only picked up my Hertz rental car after I had checked up One other disappointment was the view from the vantage point of my 18th floor hotel room. There are only three things I consider when deciding on a hotel. Location, location, location. Well, perhaps there is a fourth consideration...a comfortable bed. The GF and I chose the Grand Hyatt to serve as our home away from home during our nearly week-long stay. The Grand Hyatt occupies prime real estate in Downtown Seattle. It's two blocks away from the Light Rail station which makes it surprisingly easy and convenient to get to and from Sea-Tac. It's next door to the convention center. It's also just up a few blocks from Pike Place Market and within easy walking distance of many restaurants, bars, shopping, movie theaters, and music venues. We had a corner room on the 16th floor which had a partially obstructed view of the Sound. The room was clean and spacious especially the bathroom with a full tub and separate shower. However, the furnishings were surprisingly generic to the point that the couch and chair almost looked and felt like patio furniture. Still, the bed was comfortable and the linens were of decent thread count. It didn't feel like we were sleeping on a burlap sack. Since we were in a corner room, lots of light streamed in our windows. The blinds, however, were powered and controlled by a switch by the bed. Housekeeping service was thorough but not intrusive, always seeming to hit our room while we were out tooling around the city. The hotel, itself, is modern looking and has all the standard amenities like a conference rooms, a business center, fitness center, and restaurants. A Ruth's Chris, Starbucks, a sushi restaurant, and a convenience store were all off of the lobby. Unfortunately, internet isn't free in the hotel, but free wifi is available at Starbucks. Although we didn't have a car, there's garage parking with valet service. The Grand Hyatt has everything a business traveler or tourist needs. It's a plus that they provide better than average service. Still, its location can't be beat. The Grand Hyatt will very likely be my first choice to stay the next time I'm in town. read more

I really enjoy Hyatt properties and they very rarely seem to disappoint. This grand Hyatt was no exception! Lobby/ reception area was very clean and all the staff were very attentive and friendly. The check in process was very easy and they were able to accommodate my early check in request. They provided hot apple cider and infused water in the lobby. Rooms were also very clean and spacious. Nice upgraded flat screen TV's, refridge in the cabinet to hold our leftovers and drinks, plenty of outlets conveniently located on the nightstand and throughout the room. The closets were huge and they provided us with a large umbrella, since this is Seattle!!! So you don't have to worry about packing one. The only downfall was the bed and pillows. Some of my coworkers thought the beds were a little hard and I thought all 6 pillows on my bed were a little soft. Don't get me wrong I love being smothered by pillows but I do like a combination of some that are a little more firm to support my neck. We called to order a "foam pillow" since it was on the list to buy or borrow but when they brought us the pillow it felt exactly the same. Bathroom- love the faucet for the tub. Showers were nice and water pressure was perfect but I think the temperature of the water could have been a little hotter since I had mine set all the way to the end but it was by no means warm, it's probably just fine for most people, I just like it really hot, especially when it's so cold outside. But that's just a preference thing. Location- conveniently located next to the convention center and plenty of places to grab coffee and food. Starbucks, NYC deli, Ruth Chris and a sushi place are all connected to the Hyatt. Plus the other hundreds of restaurants and shops just out the door. All I did was work, eat, and shop. I took a shuttle from the airport (with coworkers) while my husband took the monorail and he got there faster than us. The monorail is only $3 each way and picks you up from a garage at sea-tac and literally drops you off a block or two down the street. It's an extremely convenient and economical way to go. Recently stayed here for 1 night before heading out on our cruise. The hotel is in a great location!! Walking distance to many restaurants and stores, including Target. As well as Pike Place Market which is only a few blocks away! We booked online and opted for the "eStandby Upgrade" offer. We were able to upgrade to a corner suite room on the 24th floor for only $20!! Totally worth it! Room was $188 plus $20 upgrade fee plus taxes... $242 a night total. The room was very clean! Large bathroom and tons of windows. We had a nice view. Just had to close the curtains in the evening or the people working in the office building across the street could watch everything we were doing! Could be fun!? =) The remote control curtains were a nice bonus! The staff was very nice and the bellmen very helpful with hauling all our luggage up and down. He also got us a taxi for 4 people the next morning to take us to the pier. Great service!! The NY Deli Market attached to the hotel was also a nice bonus. Very good sandwiches made to order. Very impressed with the food there! Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is also attached to this hotel. Probably the only RC that serves breakfast? We passed on breakfast there after reading the reviews and seeing the pricing. The Daily Grill is across the street and also serves breakfast. This is a high 4 star review. The Grand Hyatt in Downtown Seattle did everything right. First off, it's in a great location near plenty of shops, tourist attractions and the light rail. I utilized the online check-in and check-out feature emailed to me which made both transactions super easy and smooth. Everyone we encountered from the valet, to the front desk staff, to housekeeping were friendly, knowledgeable and customer-service oriented. I was in Seattle just for a night with my son so I reserved a standard room that I was very surprisingly super impressed with (I can be critical of rooms and Hyatt's isn't synonymous with luxury). We walked into stone flooring in the entry and an ample closet along the entry wall that was stocked with pillows, blankets, robes and shoe cleaning supplies. The bathroom was marble, very large with a shower and separate tub and well-appointed. It had everything needed without having to call down to housekeeping for items (which seems to be a frequent occurrence at other hotels I have stayed at recently). There was a work station with a lot of charging plugs, a flat screen and automated black out shades that retracted with a light switch. The hotel itself had a great market (be sure to visit...they have awesome things!!!!) and Starbucks attached to it which was really convenient. My only complaint is that we didn't get to stay longer, but when I return to Seattle, the Grand Hyatt will be the hotel I reserve my room at. read more

This place rocks! Great location, fabulous rooms, awesome bathroom, huge closets, comfy beds, super nice staff, stacked fitness center complete with sauna and steam rooms (I just wish you had medicine balls but o/w, solid!). Minus 1 star for the following, but only if you care about these things: 1) Regency Club room food being unusually gross (def worse than other R Clubs) and for closing early. 2) There's no full length mirror in room. Really?! Is this a joke? One huge tip to pass along to you: This hotel has a big conference center, so of course, there will be conferences held here. Call ahead to ensure there will not be a convention during your stay, b/c there was one while I was there and it was really annoying! No fault of anyone's, but the fact that there were hundreds of people all on the SAME SCHEDULE meant that the elevators were slow and clogged and stopped on every friggin' floor. In the future, I would stay here again in a heartbeat, but NOT if there's a convention going on at the same time. read more

I loved staying at this hotel! From the incredible view in my room so that I could see Pike Place market at the end of the street to the jolly doorman, the location was awesome! You are in the heart of the city, and within a short walking distance of Pike Place, shopping, etc. Too bad during summer, this hotel's outside my company's per diem allowance (one night's charges at the end of this review)! Words cannot describe the evening hor d'oeuvres at this hotel's Grand Club! Everything was delicious! Here's a small list of what I had during my nearly week-long stay: -Dried fruit of mango, papaya, apple, apricot, & chocolate bark, available 24/7 (along with cashews, almonds, 2 kinds of chocolate covered nuts, etc) -Grilled asparagus, breadsticks, and artichoke & cream cheese poppers (forgot to take a pic of Szechuan beef) -Breadsticks, petifores (cheesecake, lemon cake, chocolate cake, and caramel cake), macarons, and a mini chocolate cupcake -Strawberries, tomato frittata, and sausage frittata -Fig & herb cheese flatbread, buffalo chicken egg rolls (just the right spice, not too much liquid), and grilled asparagus (this was delicious, parents would be proud I'm eating veggies) -Strawberry gelee: absolutely fantastic. Almost like a flan or custard, melts in your mouth without feeling like you're eating the texture of vomit (which is how I feel about flan and custard) Breakfast was also quite yummy. Who doesn't love having unlimited lox for breakfast? Yay for being a Hyatt diamond member! FYI for a limited time, Hyatt is status matching all SPG platinum members! They also have a bonus until the end of June to Stay More, Play More (see official website). You can earn as many as 75,000 bonus points, and you can find a Hyatt Place or Hyatt House as low as 5,000 points to give an idea of what the points are worth. Booked a romance package with champagne, chocolates and 3pm check out. Did not receive champagne or chocolates. On departure date we were disturbed by the maid at 1pm asking if we are checking out. Mind you the do not disturb sign was up. I called the front desk and confirmed that they have the correct check out time, and mentioned the maid had come by and seemed confused. The front desk said that they would contact house keeping to make sure they know. Half an hour later someone came by again and asked if we are checking out. Seriously? This all happened while we were trying to take a nap and the do not disturb sign was still turned on. The second lady from housekeeping even tried to argue with us. read more

We stayed in room 1511 Great location! walking distance to PPM. Big bathroom and room. Shower & Tub. Good valet service! My Bff and I used the valet during our whole stay. We went in and out through out our whole stay...I think they got sick of us... they were really good though, just call from your room and they'll get your car for you. -1 because they didn't have any options for food/drinks during the late night. no room service at night which sucked. This review is for the The Glenlivet Guardians event hosted by the Grand Hyatt last weekend. When we entered the hotel lobby, we knew we were in for a treat. They had a gathering space set up exclusively for our event with a convention room that opened up to reveal dark wood, soft seating and an interactive multimedia presentation led by Rick Edwards, a charming bearded whiskey expert; he is one of the first five Americans to be named a Master of Scotch. The receiving area had bright displays detailing the history of The Glenlivet and all of the ways one can elevate their personal style and food pairing with this brand, in addition to generous samples. The hostesses made us feel welcome from the point of entry to our departure, offering us hors d'oeuvres, tutorials and prizes. They were elegant and inviting, as was the event itself. Class act! Great location, comfortable rooms, great views. The gym, hot tub, sauna, and steam room are very nice. The staff were accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. We upgraded to an executive suite and it was lovely. The suites have 2 bathrooms, soaking tub, and a duel head shower. There is a lounge area in your room with a bar and a fridge. A little on the spendy side but worth it if you're planning on entertaining and spending time in your room. I do love you can run down in the morning to Starbucks and that Blue C sushi is right there as well. Ruth Chris is also in the hotel....but I'm not a huge fan of this chain-especially with so many other great restaurants at better price points nearby. The hotel is within walking distance to all the downtown shopping, Pike street market, and all the theaters. Overall a great hotel to stay in but a little on the spendy side and they even wanted to charge extra for internet. read more
