She (Cindy) dyed my hair dark brown. She was so busy with other clients that she left me with dark black dye running down my forehead. We rinsed it out and it was GREEN and way darker than I specially asked for. I was very polite and told her it's darker than my natural color She then got another employee who took me to the back and argued with me for 20 minutes that the color did match my natural color and that it's what I asked for. The lady also lied to this employee saying I asked for this dark color. We went back and forth with them saying it was a match to my natural color until i started crying because they ganged up on me and my hair was GREEN. She told me my pictures of my natural hair were filtered and that "I had highlights in the picture" even though I clarified the picture was from when I grew my hair out for 2 years without dying it or even cutting it. Then they said they needed to dye it "a little" darker to fix the green. I didn't want green hair so I let them. Then my hair was way darker than just a "little". It was a dark brown. They kept arguing with me very rudely that I asked for it, that it was my natural color. I said a million times I wanted it my natural light brown color. They wouldn't admit they were wrong. Even though I made an appointment days in advance, she didn't have time for me to cut my hair and put me off on another employee. They said I could come back within a week if I still didn't like it. I paid and tipped them both and left. I came back today to try to see if they could make it right. I asked to talk to the manager bill in private, he refused. He made us have the conversation in front of the lady who did my hair and the whole salon. He argued with us too and was beyond rude and unprofessional. saying that it matched my picture. He said again, that the pictures I showed were NOT my natural color, that they were filtered and my hair was highlighted. It wasn't. They could see my natural color when I came in from my rooHe was trying not to give me a refund even though the only way to fix my hair now is to pay out of pocket and have it bleached and damaged. He yelled at me saying "will you let me talk now?". He said they could fix my hair with highlights but that wouldn't make it my natural color. He kept saying my hair matches the pictures and that this dark brown is my natural color and what I asked for. They only wanted to give me a 50% refund even though my hair is going to be completely damaged undoing their mistake. Eventually he threw his arms up and walked away from me and told the front desk girl to give me a full refund, but he was obviously extremely angry about it even though we were polite and only wanted them to fix THEIR mistake.

I was nervous about it, and not completely sure. What I really liked about Christina was that "Unfortunately, I'm not going to be the person who's going to push you into something," and I appreciated that. She gave me a quote on how much it would be around, letting me know that she is giving me a number on the higher end just to make sure all bases are covered. My appointment was at 9AM on a rainy Saturday and already it was packed when I came. The interior was bright, clean. Everyone was friendly. I showed Christina several pictures of the hair color I was thinking about. During the hair process, I didn't see the color of my hair at all. However, several people complimented me on it while I was being styled. For the haircut, I let Christina decide what was best and she added some layering and curled my hair. Although it wasn't exactly the shade I wanted or was expecting (a touch redder), it came out really nice still. Lighting can really affect pictures. I included some pictures taken in the salon and outside on the same day (patterned shirt and black shirt). After a week or so, I noticed that it can look like a variation of shades of red and purple some days. I also included a photo taken 3 weeks later, in direct sunlight with my hair curled. After your appointment, they send you an invoice with a breakdown of cost. According to the invoice, I got Half Foil Highlights with a fantasy color, a Women's Haircut (includes blowdry), and a Blowout. However, I also got my roots colored. All the prices are shown on their website. The tip cannot be charged to your credit card but there are other ways to tip. They have their own parking lot. 4.5/5.

The place is tiny and classical music plays in the background. Her original paintings are hung on the wall and are very beautiful. She smiled and agreed, and started cutting. In no time at all, she had cut the hair on one side of my head above my ear, which was the opposite of what I asked for, as I have a deformed right ear from decades of combat sports competition, and I wanted it concealed. As she had already ruined my hair on one side, I bit my tongue as she made the other side match it. I was absolutely furious, but what can a stylist do once they've taken too much off? Absolutely nothing. Now I am stuck with a haircut where my deformed ear is visible for the whole world to see because the stylist decided to give me that haircut that she wanted to give me instead of the one that I asked for. I paid for my haircut with a card and departed in a polite manner, but the moment I hit the sidewalk, I could no nothing but scream profanity as the realization that I couldn't cover my deformed ear kicked in. Now I am not only out $18, but I am stuck with a haircut which leaves me open to yet more questions along the lines of "What's wrong with your ear?" [Edit, I called the place and she offered me a refund, but this doesn't undo the damage she did to my personal appearance. I'll take the refund, but this review stands.] I grew the sides of my hair longer specifically to hide that ear, and the stylist decided that she knew better than me where my haircut was concerned, and forced her personal preferences onto my head. That stylist is very fortunate that I have superior control over my temper, because she has left me feeling disfigured with the haircut she gave me, and now that I'm home and trying to style this mess, I see that she couldn't even manage to trim my bangs straight, and the hair on one side is not symmetrical with the hair on the other side. With the mess she left me with, with my deformed ear exposed, I might just shave my head instead of putting up with this terrible thing she did to my head. I am so humiliated that I don't even want to be seen in public looking like this. I went in feeling good about myself and looking forward to the haircut I asked for, and I left with my self-esteem in the gutter. I get upset every time I catch my refection and see what she did to my appearance. I can't go out looking like this. In short, she was absolutely incompetent & unprofessional in providing a haircut according to the very simple instructions I gave her. She shouldn't be permitted to cut hair, and if she has a state license for cutting hair, it should be revoked. The only reason she's getting one star is because I can't give her zero stars. Attached to this review, you'll see two photos detailing how she couldn't even manage to cut my hair evenly. I could have gotten a better cut from a landscaper with a weed-whacker. There is absolutely no excuse for this, and no apology or refund can do undo the damage. I'll have to wear a hat until my hair covers my deformed ear again. Thanks to a stylist who doesn't listen, I get to wear a hat to cover my deformed ear now. As a craftsman and a business owner, I can tell you that this is not how a professional renders a service to a client. **Update** I spoke with the stylist on the phone a short time ago about the refund she told me she would give me, and instead of telling me when I could come down & get it, she began making all manner of excuses as to why she shouldn't refund my money. This is the kind of experience you can expect to have with this hair stylist: first she will ruin your hair, then she will justify her poor work and back-peddle out of any refund she's already offered you. I should have looked at the other 1-Star reviews of this place, because it seems that those people all had a very similar experience to mine. As a small business owner myself, I'm very enthusiastic about supporting small businesses, but not if they're run by incompetent, unprofessional people who refuse to accept accountability for the damage they do, or offer fair compensation in return for those damages.
