    Butter chicken, palak paneer, rice

It's been awhile since I've been to Grand Indian Kitchen... pre-COVID, I believe. Today, I ordered the butter chicken ($14) and palak paneer ($12). The amount of chicken in the butter chicken dish is a lot. Plus they give you a container of rice for each dish. If you want naan, you'll have to order them. (I usually have some in my freezer that I can heat up.) Both dishes tasted pretty good and there is plenty in each container . There is a little kick in the palak paneer but that's ok; I like the little kick. Both dishes don't taste greasy either. Service was fast. This place only has take out. BTW, from what I remembered, their chicken shawarma is delicious also (I didn't get one this time). They have a cash discount if you ask.

As you can see they have a very intimate cozy lobby and grade A from the health department

I prefer the Microscopic Pakistani Bathroom, but in a pinch, this will do. All you Yelpers must now quit your bitchin And stop wasting your time with crotch-itchin Come down to Sugar Land Cause the business at hand Is the curry at Grand Indian Kitchen! This is a pretty spectacular Katy Perry. I mean tasty curry, but Katy is spectacular too. However this is down in Sugar Land, over Missouri City way, rather than being up in Katy. I'm sure they want to be up in Katy though, who doesn't. I wasn't expecting anything really like this down in Sugar Land, but it's really really good. They should definitely be proud of themselves and I'm definitely thrilled that I found it. They're curries are good and well flavoured and well priced with massive portions. The guy is really nice and Barbie was particularly fond of it too. I recommend taking it home to eat, there's nowhere to eat here, and it can get Messi. Perhaps, if you're lucky, it can even get Ronaldo.

Best Indian restaurant in the Houston area. Mutton Biriyani is the best - its like a mixture of North Indian style and South Indian Style. They also offer Chinese/Asian dishes as well such as Egg rolls. Naan with Butter Chicken or Paneer Mutter is amazing. Chili Chicken is great too. The Mixed Fried Rice is fantastic. The Samosa and Chicken Shawarma is great. Best dishes were the Chicken Shawarma and the Mutton Biriyani. Will recommend to friends and family - and will order for catering in the future.

To say this food is beautiful to taste would be an understatement of epic proportions. Absolutely satisfying. Incredible to taste. This is a must have. #literally

This place is definitely a 'hidden gem' in the area. It doesn't look like much from the outside...or the inside. But, the food is good! I've only had the Chicken Tikka Masala. I'm okay with saying...if I can't get to Houston for my favorite Indian spot, Grand Indian Kitchen will work give that it's so close to the house. This is purely a takeout spot with the very simple of customer service. I've gone twice and both times, the person taking my order has been very nice and helpful. They may be taking a call while working with you, but still nice and friendly. Also, note....they do have an A health code rating. So, don't judge a book by its cover. Place your order and enjoy your food:)

Cheap, fast and good Indian food. Butter chicken- 4 stars- super tasty and lots of thick sauce! Good chunks of white meat chicken too, but wish there was more chicken and less sauce. Chili pork- 3.5 stars- pretty spicy, but good. No sauce so it doesn't get drowned in it. Lots of spices! Husband really liked it. Some pieces of pork belly really got him. Duck curry - 3 stars- it was decent but the pieces of meat were really mixed. Felt like we got lots of bone and not much meat. I wouldn't bother ordering this one again. Vegetable curry -4 stars - surprisingly good! Would recommend trying! Lots of peas though so don't get it if you are of those who hate peas! :P

    Very good samosa

Got the chicken tikka masala with rice, some samosas, and some naan. Totaled to be $16 which is more than I want to pay for a to-go meal, HOWEVER, portions were huge and so I actually had 3 meals out it. The samosas were the best I've ever had. Crunchy but chewy skin. Not sure what the filling was but it was good. Kind of spicy. Not dry. And it paired perfectly with the chili sauce it came with. Chicken tikka masala was also very flavorful with huge chunks of chicken. Naan was a bit burnt in some places. Wish it was a bit more garlic-y. Otherwise, worth getting! Will be back.

They give you the same quality and amount of food as your typical Indian restaurant but for a lower price.

Great take out Indian food with very large portions. We normally get a few entrees and then have it for several meals.

It came with jasmine rice and I ordered a garlic naan to accompany the dish. As I said, the dish was good. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the paneer was above average. Unfortunately, the portions were small and I did NOT consider paying over $20 for what you see in the pictures a value for my money. This is one of my favorite dishes. I've had this dish hundreds of times over the past 30 years. I found the paneer a tad bit spicier than I like, and it led me to wonder was that a mask to cover some deficiency. I sampled the dish prior to leaving and noted. Something was missing regarding the flavor profile. Unfortunately, I can't identify the missing ingredient.(s). I called and placed my order and it was ready at the time quoted. I was promptly greeted when I entered the restaurant. In my opinion this restaurant does not offer value to the prices they charge and servings offered. GN3

The restaurant felt very clean (something you can't always expect at an Indian restaurant). Service was friendly. However, I thought the food flavor was just average. We tried the gobi manchurian, pakoras, and masala dosa. The masala dosa filling and chutneys were on the plain/milder end. I enjoyed the pakoras but the gobi manchurian flavor was too sweet for my taste.

I finally tried out Gurkhaas Grill and Bar today…read more I placed a pick up order for chicken curry, potato and peas samosas, and rasmalai. I pulled up directly in front of the restaurant. It's in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking even if you don't get one of the spots up front. It wasn't too busy when I arrived. I'm sure since I arrived after buffet hours. The buffet ends at 3pm but there's lots of room in the buffet area for tons of options. The restaurant is clean and pretty spacious inside. The young lady at the counter greeted me warmly and kindly rang me up for my rasmalai I added to my order upon arrival. The chicken curry was good. Not amazing or the best I ever had but I would eat it again. It came with rice. I'm always surprised when Indian restaurants charge extra for rice. The potato and peas samosas were big, crispy on the outside and nice and soft with potatoey goodness on the inside. They were absolute perfection when dipped into the tartly sweet chutney sauce. I concluded my meal with the rasmalai dessert that tasted of rose, condensed milk and pistachios. I just wished it had a little more bits of pistachio.
