I have ordered food to go several times. The food taste had always been average. Not great food but not bad except this week. I got Aloo samosas. The chutney that came with the samosa was spoiled. Made me sick. You expect a restaurant not to serve spoiled food, very disappointed. read more

The food was below average. And the service was worse. We had to ask for everything. Like ketchup and lemon abd stuff that goes with nihari. Naan wasnt ceispy like it should be. Nihari had no flavor. We paid for the food and then spoke to the manager and told him the food was not worth the money. And that im letting him know because we will never be coming back but you should know why. He seemed less interested and started doing other things while we were talking. So 1/10 from me. If customer service is crap then id rather not spend my time there. read more

On Saturday, Jan 18, we had Halwa Puri nashta at 2:45 p.m. It was a bad experience having food at Cafe Yasmeen. The Aaloo salan was bad in taste and rotten. We both vomited when we returned home, and our stomachs were upset for long hours until midnight. We beg not to eat at Cafe Yasmeen again. This place is nothing special at all. They didn't have bhindi and one goat dish we tried to order. We also ordered Patties and they sold the last 2 to someone who came in and ordered after us. When we asked for samosas instead, they had run out of aloo and only had beef. It was all really frustrating. I went with a Philly cheese steak sandwich with French fries and she went with her usual, the jalapeño cheeseburger. We had no complaints with the food. They are also famous for their weekend buffet with traditional brunch items like Nihari, Paya, Aloo, Halwa, Naan etc. There is no waiter service. You order your food at the counter and they bring it out to you, except for weekends where u self serve from the buffet. It is packed on Saturday n Sunday mornings with issues with seating. They also have a samosa stand where u can purchase samosas made with potatoes. A pure delight. We did a catering order at Rice University for 600 people and the food was perfectly done with a huge variety. We ordered Chicken Tikka, Veg Biryani, White Rice, Daal Tarka, Palak Paneer, Soci Halwva, samosa, and spring rolls and they even through in a tray of check biryani for free! Definitely recommend! Their food is always fresh, no matter what (which is a treat in Covid times). I have tried their beef nihari and chicken koila (charcoal) karhai. Both very good. Fast service, friendly staff. This place is a staple. I pick up their buy one get one free on the regular. Chicken biryanis to kormas to niharis. Can't go wrong with them ever. The chai is very good. Sometimes I'll just pick up chai where ever I'm going. The service is always great. They have made some nice updates. The menu is now on tv screens as well. Added a few more items to their weekend brunch, halwa Puri deal. Their bun kababs are also pretty on point. I consider this place an extension to my kitchen. read more

I will never return to this place again! I asked the employee for some plates and he said 'they're right there' as in I should get up and get it myself. We got some samosas, bun kabab and club sandwich. The samosas were served cold and were oily! The bun kabab had no taste, and the cold sandwich had cold tasteless red tandoori chicken in it! Updated review, I think the food quality is excellent and they're really making an effort to get the order correct.

Food is decent for the price. Customer service is terrible, especially when you call them. There have been numerous times where they'll pick up and just say "hello", it almost sounds like "what do you want?". Once you've ordered they won't tell you the total or even how long it'll take, so you're left either guessing when to go in or end up calling them back. I think this place has potential if they trained the staff on basic customer service skills. read more

This is a great restaurant with a lot of really great Pakistani options. They always have a deal Monday through Sunday for buy one get one free. It's really great because you're able to try different food items for a good price and you can plan accordingly if you want to order some food for a party.
