Was looking for good Indian restaurant and this one was rated high....and for good reason! My best friend and I were very impressed. We had the pani puri...so delicious. We also had the fried paneer (don't recall the exact name) and it was also very good. I had the lamb biryani and my friend had the Chicken tikki masala...both were excellent. We also go the garlic naan. Way too much food for the two of us and I hated to leave any behind, but we weren't in a position to take anything to go. Highly recommend! Ambiance is a bit lacking, but the food was good! You order at the counter. Prices are a bit high, but typical for Indian restaurants these days. I got the chicken kerma and it was delicious. The lady that took our order was very helpful since we really didn't know what to order. My husband had the Lamb Rogan Josh and I had the butter chicken. We shared the garlic naan. I was in Sugar Land for work and was raving Indian food, so a quick check of "food near me" brought me to Bombay Delight. We ordered at the front, then made our way to a table. Our food came fast, and was served in gorgeous dishes. The Mango Lassi was rich and creamy, a was the perfect compliment to my Tikka Masala. Came here for dinner with group of friends and kids to have some light hearted dinner! The service was fast and staff was very friendly and patient. The food - out of all the things we ordered the curries were our favorite! The flavors were spot on, creamy textures with the right amount of spice and seasonings, we really enjoyed it! The chaat items - I'm a Mumbaiker myself so I know my chaat and Bombay sandwich. The sandwich was good overall but it was a bit dry, I wish there were more chutney and sauces flowing through. Same with Vada pav - I wish it had more chutney and spice, again a bit dry. Raj Kachori and Dahi puri and pani puri was decent. This is my favorite Indian Restaurant in Sugar Land. The food is consistently good and the service is always friendly. Sometimes when we have guests, we order food from this place and it's a guarantee hit! Our go to order is: -Butter Chicken -Saag Paneer -Masala Dosa -Garlic Naan I like how they make the butter chicken because it's not too sweet - very well balanced! They had very friendly owners and staff. They made sure the spice levels were to our liking and we very hospitable during our dine in experience. You order at the front and they bring out the food as it's prepared. We started with samosas, had chicken tikka masala, tandoori and chana masala. There were three of us and had enough to take some home as well. It's set in a strip mall so it gives that vibe inside as well but it's very clean and very casual. A Big Indian crowd gathering calls for a big eating and the place we picked was Bombay Delight because this place has chats, Indian sandwiches , roti curry, rice items, Lassi, desserts, and above all good reviews. We got many items but my favorites were Channa Batura and garlic naan. I always love their Bombay Sandwich but today it was very salty, .... some of the other items we ordered were : Paani Puri - pretty good Malai Khofta : ok ok Panner Tikka Masala : Great- as described by others Roti : good Mango Lassi : good Dahi puri : good Jamun : ok Grilled Cheese Sandwich: the kid we got it for loved it, but, it took the longest to arrive. There was a tablefull of food and nothing for him to eat... tough - really tough on us ....and ofcourse the kid too, especially as we had no answer as to why his cheese sandwich is not here yet when even Gobi Manchurian arrived- twice !!! With that one exception the service was good, all other items came in quick succession and they were also pretty prompt in clearing up the table to make more space for our food, I really appreciated that. Having over-eaten, we came out ready to go home and doze off. I do have one complaint, they should have atleast one sink outside. Its an Indian restaurant and using hands is expected. I went to the single ladies restroom thrice and it was still locked (I hope the person inside was doing fine). In total I waited 15 min, just to wash the grease off the khofta off my hands- then finally settled to wipe it off the tissue temporarily.... uhhh! read more

Darn... so we went with our usual orders + gobi manchurian (fried cauliflower). They asked for any allergies and spice levels which they honored, yay! Gobi Manchurian: fried cauliflower that's reminiscent of General Tso's sauce in a good way. Pillowy soft bites that are a little spicy, sweet, and salty. Definitely an addicting appetizer, happy to try this one for the first time! Chicken tika masala: creamy and bright with a strong tomato flavor (perfect for tomato lovers). The chicken pieces were a little too big in this one for me, but tasty nonetheless! Chicken saag: I usually get the saag (spinach) with paneer (cheese), but chicken worked well with this too! Thankfully the chicken was in smaller pieces in this one :) it's easy to over salt this one but this one wasn't too salty, yay! Our entrees came with rice but you can order naan on the side. There was a steady flow of take out and dine in patrons, and the servers were friendly and sweet. I liked the little pitchers of water for each table! Where do I begin? Not sure what was up with the lady at the counter.. she seemed a bit rude and had a bit of attitude. She kept asking "Why" whenever we asked for straws, silverware or to go boxes. I mean we are ordering all this food and asking for what we need, not try to loot your restaurant! The Bombay sandwich traditionally has small cheese sprinkled on top but this one barely has any and an overload of green chutney that made it very spicy. Malai kofta was decent although very less in quantity (3 pieces) for $14. Butter naan was stale and crunchy, not soft. Mango lassi also smelled and tasted strange as though it was not fresh. Was in the area and decided to try this restaurant out on a pan. I ordered carry out: butter chicken (rice included), and cheese naan. Restaurant was small and clean on the inside, and the service I received when I went to pick up my order was more than adequate. The food is DELICIOUS, however, my gripe is the portion size for the price that you pay. I paid almost $20 for my order and honestly, I was still hungry afterwards. Would I eat here again? Probably, definitely not often as it's not the best value considering all the other options in the area. The service was already horrible as I just walked in. Only customer there. Casuallly they brought the menu and I asked for tea and appetizers. Never came. I heard a lot of rustling in the kitchen. A lot of rustling for just one person. No one was on the phones taking order. I have been up since 4am working my butt off and I want to support local businesses when I can, but this was a disgrace. What a lovely lunch in this tucked away little strip mall shop. It's small but clean and the service is exceptional. Now to the food: A- - samosa; needed a little salt and I was left wondering where the heat was. But hot, great, homemade & delicious nonetheless! A - saag paneer. The perfect blend of spice and spinach and paneer. B+ - Lamb roganjosh - well we found the heat missing in the samosa lol. Great taste, lots of lamb, just a little more spice than expected. A- chicken tikka, spicy...other than not much chicken & chicken was a bit dry, this was a great flavor bomb. The food was delicious, but the portions were tiny. The total for all the food pictured was about $60 before the tip. The interior is plain but clean, and the service was decent. The pani puri was decent. It's a little light on flavor for my taste, but it's a decent bite overall. For $10, I'd pass on it. The gobi manchurian was good. The sweet and savory flavors came together nicely in this dish, and the cauliflower has a nice texture. It requires you to take a bite, but it's not difficult to chew if that makes sense. The butter chicken was a delightful bite. But that was it - just a bite. There were literally only five pieces of chicken in the bowl. Either the portion needs to be bigger or the price lower. The saag paneer was also absolutely delectable. Once again, however, the portion was underwhelming. The garlic naan was fluffy, flavorful, and perfect for dipping into the butter chicken sauce and saag paneer. The basmati rice was also good. On the whole, I find it difficult to recommend this restaurant. While the food was definitely 5/5 tastewise, the portion sizes and prices are deterring me from wanting to return. I actually came with two other people with the intention of eating dinner, but we ended up having to eat more elsewhere after finishing the food. read more

I've always liked Indian food but it was tough convincing my wife to try it. Luckily, when we moved into the area I was craving it and found this spot on Yelp to try. I don't get many opportunities to get Indian so Bombay Delight had to deliver for us to get another shot in the future. They do have a decent dining room but I did notice they do a ton of take out. Our first visit was in person and their garlic naan is so good when it comes out fresh and hot. We had the chicken tikka masala along with the butter chicken. Both dishes are delicious. Some of the best Indian food I've had in Sugar Land! We ordered take out on a Saturday night and had absolutely no regrets picking this to satisfy our Indian food craving. We ordered the butter chicken, saag paneer and masala dosa. The butter chicken was creamy and full of flavor, though not the best I've had, but still very good! The saag paneer was rich and filling, making me crave more after every bite. The masala dosa was filled with a hefty amount of seasoned potatoes and came with two dipping sauces and sambal. When having dosa for take out, I've learned that you cannot expect it to be as good as dining in since it gets soft and a bit soggy, instead of being crispy as it generally is when it's fresh. Each entree comes with a good amount of basmati rice. We ordered two orders of garlic naan and it tasted as you would expect. This restaurant was my first experience with Indian food, and it really blew my expectations away. First, when we first stepped in, the atmosphere felt cozy and warm as the walls, music, and paintings makes me feel as if I am in a home style restaurant. The restaurant is very clean, the bathrooms too. The food we ordered consisted of one Chicken Tikka Tandoori, one Pav Bhaji, one Lamb Bryani, one Chicken Tikka Masala, one garlic naan, one cheese naan, and 3 Mango Lassi. Overall, our group of 4 paid 80$ for all of that which is great value. The wait wasn't terrible as well, as we waited at most 15 minutes for all of our food to arrive. The server also checked up on us constantly to make sure we had a good time. Once we ate our food, however, I can't help but feel we ordered the wrong dishes. First, my Chicken Tikka Tandoori was spiced well, however the chicken was very dry, to the point that the only flavor I could derive was from the sauce and spices in the dish and on the onions and bell peppers. Overall, kind of disappointed but I'm sure it's because of what I ordered. Next is the Lamb Bryani, which was not hot, but very spicy. The spices were very overwhelming to the point that consecutive bites were a chore to chew through. Everything else was great and to our expectations, the Mango Lassi was a great drink along with the Naan and Pav Bhaji were excellent meals.
