We drove 16 hours to go to our daughter's bridal shower and I wanted to see mystic Connecticut, we figured we would find a hotel when we got there, wanted to kinda check it out first. All the hotels were ok but none would let us check in early. We wanted showers so bad after that drive. My husband found this hotel online only a few miles from Connecticut. we called and talked to Al, who was so welcoming told us to come over and that he would check us in early! Got there the hotel is right on the water. We were greeted in the parking lot and given a parking spot . Check-in was easy rooms were clean. The neighborhood is so fun full of cute little shops. So happy that he found this hotel. When we checked out and were about three hours away from the hotel, we realized we left my daughter's favorite blanket in the room. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but this was a huge disaster! I called the office and Al said that he would go look for it, he called me back, found the blanket and actually took time out of his life to mail it to our house. So thankful for him and the staff at the hotel. They went above and beyond anything they had to do. I would highly recommend this cute hotel on the beach and the staff. read more

The place itself is nice enough, being on the beach is a nice plus. It's the rest. Very strict about visitors, and seeing the customers on their cameras, the time schedules etc. Family got locked out their room, and they knew and showed up by watching before they even called for help. You'd think that's good fast service but then Couldn't get in the room again later. Guy was yelling at people in the parking lot. Just basic way to say it was Uncomfortable vibe. read more

Loved the location, size of king size room and the balcony with a perfect view of the ocean! CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!! Parking staff and owner were super friendly. There is an elevator which is perfect if you can't do stairs or have a little too much to drink while out! Just the right amount of beach space with the ability to walk endlessly. As some reviews mention, it's not the Ritz, but they've done a very nice job with this beach side hotel. It was okay. Very, very strict & price gouging for an 8x10 room- $450.00 a night charging an additional $25.00 for an ocean view which was hindered by their parking lot. Good water pressure & hot water; freezer that needed to be defrosted but DIDN'T FREEZE ice! Air conditioning worked; beds pushed up against the walls so you could only roll off one way. . 2 full beds; I can only compare the owners to the soup nazi on the Jerry Steinfield episode. No coffee in the room; baggies of ice; quiet period from 10 pm to 7 am; no guests; all kinds of fines. The nail in the coffin was: check out was 11:00 am and I wanted to use the beach until 5 or so. When I asked the "Hotel Nazi" if I could continue to park my car there, he said: "It's an additional $20.00". To wit, I said, "I just handed you $450.00." And, he said, "that was for the room." Stayed 2 nights. Very clean, friendly staff. Nice balcony overlooking the beach. They don't play around about parking or the use of their beach or allow others to walk through. This can be somewhat annoying or put some people off. But the upside is when you are a guest your parking is guaranteed and you feel safe. You're not here for commodious amenities, frequent-guest points, free breakfast, business and fitness service offerings, or much of anything except THE BEACH IS PACES AWAY. Picture it; Misquamicut - tight, rustic, party-atmosphere, adult-oriented beach action. There are some places to cop a boogie board or sand shovel, sure, but mostly the lingua franca is "bargain beer buckets" and the like. So be about it, and be in the midst of it. Want to park feet from la playa, sleep with the waves as a lullaby, occasionally grab some grub and suds nearby, have your main changing area be a hotel built in 2015, and have your head hit the pillow satisfied and under Poseidon's watch? Here's your spot. It's not the del Coronado, but who needs that every time? I'm not George Clooney and you're not Jennifer Aniston. If I could give this hotel 0 starts I would. Paid 300 for 1 night. The owner and management was absolutely horrible. Went there for my 4 year olds birthday with my 2 daughters 16 and 14. First off forget about even stepping on their private beach until you check in at 3.... We asked and they said no. And check out is at 11 which your not allowed to stay any later then that either. My daughters met one of their friends on the beach and went to go up go get ready and they were immediately stopped by management and said that we didnt pay for the extra guest. I told them that they would be out of there in about 10-20 min and that other girl was not spending the night. In exactly 10 min management came knocking at the door telling me if that the other (15 year old) girl didnt leave I would get kicked out. Since it was sons birthday I didnt want to ruin it for him and told the girls to leave and go outside. While the girls were waiting for me outside... Management got about a foot in front one of my girls face and started screaming at her. (Without a mask on). There is an ice cream parlor across the street from the hotel and managements office/room is on that side of the hotel. The manager/owner kept going out on his balcony and would taunt the girls continuously all night. At about 11pm there were drunk crowds in the hallways screaming and yelling but nobody came out and said anything to them. Worst experience in my life as far as hotels are concerned. read more

First of all, I want to say that some of the older reviews have complaints that are not true at this time. Reserved parking for one car per room is included in the price. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were very nice. The hotel is very clean and the management and staff are just amazing....friendly, helpful, accommodating, but they do have rules to keep the hotel pleasant for everyone. The rooms are comfortable and basic, but they include a mini fridge and microwave. You are not paying for the room, you are paying to be on the beach...the parking lot is sandy because once you walk past the spaces, you are on the beach. You can hear the crashes of the waves and if you are on the oceanside of the hotel, the balcony is almost as good as being right on the sand!!! This hotel is for true beach lovers, not those who want spa tubs and luxurious amenities. Those who complained that the price was high obviously didn't look at the other oceanfront beaches priced at $900 and way up from there. I will be back because it is the closest beach experience to the oceanfront house my best friend's parents owned in Nag's Head NC. I had to walk about 10 times farther to hit the sand and only the master bedroom allowed you to hear the waves...and only faintly. Your opinion of the MBFI will depend on your priorities...beach lovers....10 stars! read more

I'm glad I didn't listen to previous reviews of misquamicut beach front inn the staff there was so friendly professional and very accommodating Al bent over backwards to make our stay great Sam in the lot was always a gentleman and watched our vehicle like it was his own my family always felt so comfortable and safe it was a great looking location with a clean simple room. I recommend staying at the MBF Inn Al ,Ed and Sam all went Above and beyond our expectations they make sure you are safe ,comfortable and happy with your stay there ,will be coming back soon great place read more

Can I rate less that 1 star? This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The managers/owners were the rudest people I have ever met for absolutely no reason and the place was disgusting. They try and get more money out of you at every possible turn while charging $400 a night for one of the worst "hotels" I have ever seen. We stayed at the Misquamicut Beach Front Inn for a half marathon in September. It is the beginning of the off season. For what it is, this is a good hotel. It was for one overnight and had the bare essentials. It had a comfy bed and a clean bathroom with hot water. You won't find a continental breakfast here, it's the bare essentials. If I was on a tight budget, I'd consider staying here in the summer. read more

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in. It looked like it was built by amateurs. Poor paint job. Faucet placed on angle. Cheap uncomfortable furniture. Thick smelly and moldy rugs that make you sick. They serve coffee on a cheap plastic table under the stairs outside of the building. Horror! And all this for $250 per night. read more

We had a perfect stay on a Weds to Friday here at this inn. Rooms were bright, airy and clean. Parking was free, and the owners let us park there early before check-in. Great location at Misquamicut and loved the private beach out front (and someone said there was a fee to use it in a review I read on here, but not true!) Would stay there again. My only complaint is our room didn't get cleaned and I was told I needed to put out a plaque in the room to alert staff to clean it, but I did not find such plaque. My daughter and I wanted to get away for a weekend and found this inn. As others said, it's not a five star with fancy extras, but you're right on the beach! Literally walk out to the beach! We arrived and was greeted from the nice gentleman from the small outside office. He showed us where to park, check in was seen less, we went to our room. Because we booked late, we had street view, but the room was super clean, smelled fresh, microwave and fridge...all you need for a beach stay! I did get a peek at the ocean side room and WOW it was beautiful! I felt super safe because the family kept on top of who was coming and going (outside elevator and stairs do they have to watch). Did I say you literally walk out of your room to the beach?! Need a snack or a clean potty...we just went to our room! I'd go again. My PS is you can walk anywhere, so close to everything. Stayed here this past weekend, and for the money it costs -wow. ($300 + for one night) I get it, it's right on the beach = not cheap. But they give you a "discounted" parking rate of $20, rather than the $40 on their sign?? When we were checking in the guy told us we should not have been charged at all ! ....ok? Bad start... Then: Crappy construction for a hotel (motel) just about 3 years old. Sheets were ultra thin and uncomfortable. "Comforter" was thin and like cardboard. Bed was horrible. Minimal pillows available (1 per "sleeper") Clock was broken (just funny) Recessed lights were burned out. (Also funny) Tiles coming off the walls in bathroom. The guy checking us in said we could leave our car parked there the next day (we were checking out the next day). We decided to just park it down the street at our friends place, because we felt they would not honor their deal. Correct! They didn't. But they were gracious enough to allow us to leave it there for 15 minutes while we got some ice for the cooler. I would not recommend this place unless you're going on a beach trip to party, and you just need a spot to shower and sleep. If you're looking for "good" feelings about your lodgings, look elsewhere. I stayed here from a Mon-Thurs. My room was clean and had a gorgeous view of the beach. The staff was very friendly. My biggest turn off was my final night there. As soon as those bars close at 1am, it was a free for all in there. Drunk people screaming, fighting, I have no idea what the elephant in the room above me was doing. My calm night's of listening to the sea stopped right there. Basically had to bang on the walls and scream for these morons to get the point that they weren't the only people here, finally passing out after 2:30am.... unfortunately for me, elephant man was stomping around above me at the crack of dawn. This place just opened - stay far away. Management is unorganized and rude. The hotel is decent enough but for the money you pay, it's not worth it. They lack basic amenities like hair dryers and more than one room key. They didn't inform us what time check out was and banged on our door at 11:15 very rudely. And when we were walking to go get breakfast before hitting the road, they kicked us out of the parking lot. There are way better hotels in Westerly with nicer management that will treat you way better! read more

Very clean and comfortable room, very safe area, private beach, restaurants and places to shop within walking distance. The owners were great to work with, gave us our own spot to park in the entire time we were there, even during the day. Our parking pass gave us the convenience to come and go as we pleased. The elevator made it very convenient especially since we had 3 kids with us. Cleaning crew did a great job getting rid of all the sand in between days and it was a wonderful experience. read more

I don't know what some of the other reviewers are talking about. We just booked two days there and decided to stay a third night. The two brothers that run the place were great to us. The rooms are clean and we had a room on the ocean side with a fantastic view. The beach was clean, no rocks, no seaweed, and their lifeguard was on the ball. We didn't hear anyone being loud or obnoxious. It was very safe and unlike other hotels management stays on site all night. This is the hidden gem of the beach. Ugh. 100% ugh. The place is gross and feels like it was constructed with the cheapest materials. The floors are all tiled, which is great for clean up- if they actually cleaned! That being said, I think there's only one cleaning lady and the poor woman looked dead on her feet tired, cleaning the entire place by herself, so I'll take some sandy floors, it won't kill me. What I found weird was the bedsheets didn't match. It looked like they took all the extra linens from the employees houses and made up the beds with them, or went to salvation army and picked up whatever was there. Management is rude, and not well situated. You have to go inside the inn and up to the second floor, past all the other rooms where people are staying to their "office" which looks like a boiler room with a desk in it. They only had one key for the room, which could situate up to 4 people... 1 key for 4 people! What the heck, who does that? Then they don't tell you when check in or check out time are, and any time I had to contact them before the date of my reservation about the weekend I was staying and asking information about the place (Because their website is lacking in detail and imagination) it sounds like a guys cell phone and he is never actually at the inn. When I finally got in touch with him, 2 days 4 voicemails and numerous missed calls later, he was like, "you should be fine when you get there. don't worry" I also never got a reciept for my stay, they took my reservation via phone and then said they would e-mail a receipt and never did! They also charged my card the day I made the reservation. I repeat, what the heck! These people do NOT know how to run a hotel business. (Hey- management; It's called hospitality business for a reason!) Then when we were leaving they insisted we moved our cars, because they had to rent out the lot to other people who were going to the beach for a day. (Everyone say it with me now- WHAT THE HECK!) Read carefully before you book! They do not allow any changes or cancellations no matter how far in advance. Basically, once you book, you've paid for it, even if you have to change your plans. I understand how most motels would require a 24 or 48 hr notice, but I've never heard of not being able to do it before this time. If you do want to stay, know this is not a place you're staying at for rest. Beds are nothing more than cots, walls and doors are paper thin so expect to hear drunk guests crashing and fighting through the hallways all night. You're paying a premium price to be close to beach, but it's not worth it. read more

I did not enjoy my stay at this Inn. Rooms were clean enough, but the bed was uncomfortable and the hall and stairways were dirty. Overall the Inn had a dingy feel, poor quality across the board. Although our room faced the water, the parking lot is in between the Inn and the beach so our view was largely obstructed by cars. We couldn't sleep with the windows open because we heard parking lot noise over the sound of the waves. A real disappointment. read more

This was exactly what I had in mind for myself and my 2 teen daughters for a beach get away. We arrived early as it was a Sunday and parked. A nice man came over and I explained we were going to stay for two nights. He took my name and came back and showed me where to park and that we could set up on the beach and check in at 3 or come earlier to see if rooms as ready early. We didn't even bother as the beach was beautiful. I had an issue with my umbrella that the front desk person helped me with without hesitation. The room had a fridge, microwave and hairdryer. We felt very safe there. Room was clean. You could opt of a cleaning but we had them come as we had sand in the room. There are tile floors but they have placed rugs down. Nice group of guys working there and all had consistent stories. Great places to eat within walking distance. We will definitely be back! read more
