But apparently, food truck owners here feel differently than food truck owners on the (otherwise more expensive) East coast. That's certainly your prerogative, OKC food truckers. But I think you're mean and I don't like you. But that's a moot point in the case of St. Paddy's Cakes, because I don't mind paying them their asking price. For $8 (+ tax & tip), a full serving of the Poke (with one of two BBQ sauce options) is filling, hearty, delicious, and everything that you could want or hope for. The crunchy potato outside, mixed with the soft potato innards, topped with the tender pork, and smothered with the BBQ sauce is nothing short of satisfying. And they're not chintzy with the meat either, which is very much appreciated. Normally, when I frequented Bleu Garten, the process involved trying to figure out which food truck was least likely to gyp me. Now I'll be looking for St. Paddy's Cakes first, and then trying to figure out what the next best (least gyppy) option is if St. Paddy's isn't to be found.

But there were issues with the food we had here. Burger was simply done, classic, tasted pretty good, like a back yard burger. My double was tall, vegetables were fresh. Patty was thick, seasoned, cooked well-done but not dry. Bun thin and tasted like from grocery store. Double cheeseburger came to $10 w/ tax, or $13 in combo with regular fries and a can of soda. French fies, on the other hand, aren't being cooked properly, fried way too long until brown, greasy and taste burnt. They need to learn the double fry/blanch technique. I tried to suggest it on FB, but they just deleted my post. I like that they include a frisbee with each kid's meals. They definitely have a lot of potential, but need to tweak a few things.

Tacos laden with meat and cheese, then griddled flat like mini quesadillas and folded over, making every bite filled with melty filling. Add some of their tasty house tomato-based salsa or extra pico de gallo. OMG, and that brisket is de-li-cious -- smoky, tender, wow!! It is definitely the "meat of choice" to go with here. You can get it on a sandwich too, or smothered over fries. I am surely trying one of those next, or maybe their hamburger. Their menu has just the right amount of options, not overwhelming. Family owned and operated, the workers are friendly and properly masked-up. Trailer was parked at the gas station on the corner of Hefner & Western.
