My friend warned me about that before we went I know the various vendors set their own prices, etc. this is in beautiful Cape May so high prices are to be expected. I did purchase a beautiful piece that was a plate style decoration with probably the most gorgeous abalone I had ever seen! Vivid pinks, greens, blues and purples it was lovely and I felt the price was very good. When I went to the counter to pay one of the ladies asked me "what are you going to DO with that- hang it on a wall?" That kind of triggered me. I said "Not every single thing we buy HAS to have a practical purpose- we CAN buy things because we admire and enjoy them!" She was speechless. It was almost like asking me "what are you going to DO with a piece of art." I enjoyed this place and would go back. It is aesthetically beautiful!
