Came in tonight to get my nexgen removed & the old lady with the white hair cut into my nail bed. I told her twice before she proceeded to clip it. She acted like she didn't believe me when I said the clippers were too close to my skin and then realized she messed up when she saw me bleeding. She then proceeded to put glue over my wound so I could continue to soak my nails in the acetone & my nail was stinging and in discomfort the entire time for the remainder of the removal process. At check out, I requested to speak to a manager to discuss my service tonight & the old lady responded with "I'm the manager," which I 100% didn't believe, but I told her anyways that my service here was the worst I've ever had at this establishment and it was just for a nail removal. She asks "what do you want us to do about it? You got your nails removed, what do you want us to do?" At this point, I'm baffled at her attitude towards me--a CLIENT. I explained my concerns & expectations and the next thing she said was "okay, go. Goodbye." Not once did she apologize tonight. If this is how managers are supposed to act towards their clientele, then I don't want any part of this business. I've been coming here for over a year & just coming in to get my nails removed was the worst experience I've ever had here. First off. The lady rushed doing my fill. Originally she kept trying to convince me to get a new set I said a fill was fine. I wanted to get rid of the baby pink and do French tip. Mind you, it was a very pale pink that faded to off white. She told me if I wanted to change the color I have to get a new set or remember the color I originally had on. I asked if she could just do a darker pink on top she said no. I found the color for her then she proceeded to use a different color anyways (a lighter pink then what was on my nails mind you) she then kept slapping the pillow each time she asked for my other hand. I did not say anything to her the entire service. She cut every single one of my fingers and it hurts to wash my hands. Then she slapped the receipt on the counter and over charged me and charged me twice for shape $60 for almond fill French tip $5 for almond shape. A fill is $27, almond shape which was the same shape I came in with is $5, and French is an addition $15. The price should have been $47. I just paid and left obviously with no tip and did not confront her because one I'm not one to do so sadly. And two she had on a floral shirt while everyone was in solid colors so I assumed she was the manager or something. Anyways the guy who did my pedicure... GREAT, amazing, so sweet and kind. I normally go with Steven and he does a great job but unfortunately was not there today. I went with Cici and I'm really unhappy with how they turned out. She was so rough with my nails and filled them way too short when I told her I wanted to keep my nail length that I had been growing out. She filed in the sides so low that my nail beds are so sensitive and are filed where the pink should be but now is just skin. I left acting like I was happy with the outcome mainly because I'm not one to make a show at a place of business and make people look bad. But getting home and noticing how bad they are, just makes me want to cry. read more

I usually always drive out to Prosper to get my nails done by a husband and wife team, but, sadly, the are out of town. My nails were pretty messed up from going on vacay so I stopped in to Grandlux to get nails done. They were really busy when I got there. They showed me only a few selections of color for the nexgen. The front desk seemed pretty out out and there was confusion who was next, etc The nail tech had the drill on high and because if that, it was really hot. The nail techs were talking about the guests, the girl next to me in particular. You could tell because they would stop, look at her, talk and laugh. That wasn't cool. Talk English with your guests, you will get better tips instead of talking about them. Nails look like my daughter did them. And she would probably do a better job! Nails are also way too short. But, this is literally one of the worst jobs I've ever had done on my nails, I didn't want to post them since they looks so embarrassing, but hoping others won't make the same mistake I did. This is the outcome of Grandlux Nail Salon Prosper. Same day that it was done. They saw how horrible it was and told me that I could come back because it was near closing. They have been giving me the run around about refunding my $70 for two weeks. They said the owner is in Vietnam and doesn't answer phone calls. They refused to provide me the owner's information. I came back twice (at their direction) for a refund and/or gift certificate and more run around. They were rude and did not care. I finally called the cops...they said there is nothing they can do. Civil matter. I never want to engage another foreign nail salon. They don't care. The managers are Tommy and Traci. Traci is the devil. She lied straight through her teeth to the cops. Obviously, the ladies who did this manicure and pedicure were not licensed. A five year old could have done this. They have unlicensed technicians giving manicures and pedicures. At a large nail salon, I think it is important to take the time (several visits) to find the nail techs who do the best service for you being that everyone is different with their style and preference. I have been to this salon a handful of times and each time was a 'fine' experience, but this last time was TOP NOTCH!! Bao - He does incredible pedicures! Not only did he check in with me regularly to ensure he was delivering the best service, but he was meticulous and truly cared! Sure, the massage part of a pedi is lovely, but to me, it is the actual service of cleaning up my toes that matters far more! A+++ to Bao!! Kylie - She managed my dip nails wonderfully! Buyer beware, they will charge you for everything but fail to correctly give you the services ordered. They charge you $20 to take off the polish on your toes when getting a pedicure. If you order a decent pedicure they skip things like massaging your legs, and you can see they skip steps to get to the next customer, I will not return to this location! All I can say is I did fight about the cost when things were done with no positive result. I will not be going back. EVER! read more
