Always look for bakeries when I'm out of town and found this one. It's such a quaint atmosphere and decorated like a fairy tale. There is also jewelry at the rear of the store. Found a beautiful pair of earrings. I got crinkle cookies and a cannoli. The coconut crinkle was the best one. The cannoli was ok. I'd return if in the area again. Worth stopping by. read more

Small but ample seating available. This is a definite place to try for breakfast or treats. We stayed in Athens three days and went here every day. Fresh cookies and scones are outstanding, as was the fired apple pie. Breakfast was huge and very tasty. Coffee was good. Service was excellent as well. Would definitely go back! read more

The place has gone downhill. The theme is military, which is off putting. The bakery shelves are empty. The food wasn't good.

The hours are wrong - they are open on Sunday, at least for breakfast. This place was recommended to me after I mentioned Waffle House for breakfast. As a visitor to Athens, WH seemed like somewhere that would be consistent. I'm glad I took the recommendation. The menu is eclectic - avocado toast to waffles, with biscuits and gravy or French toast filling in the middle. There are pastries in cases and I had to control myself not to order 1 of each. I opted instead for the French toast plate. They were out of grit cakes, so home fries was the other option. The eggs were fried to perfection and the home fries had a nice crispness to them, with the perfect saltiness. The bacon add on was on the higher end of saltiness. I didn't need or want ketchup. I was surprised at the amount of French toast that came with the order and if it wasn't a "sorry we didn't have grit cakes" appeasement, you're going to appreciate their portions. The plate was $10.95 with bacon adding a couple more dollars. Service was a smidge slow at the start, but it ended up being the right amount of "do you need anything" vs "y'all eat and I'll leave you alone." Go. Try it. You're welcome. read more

We arrived with my out of state guest for breakfast. We sat down and waited for 10-15 minutes to be served while they served people who came in after us. We ordered waffles and sausage and my guest had eggs with hers. It finally arrived and the waffles tasted like toaster waffles and the sausage patty was a paper thin grease ball. Our guest received one egg instead of 2. When we asked about the one egg she said " I will just take the other egg off of the bill." Our guest ordered 2 eggs because she wanted 2 eggs! We were then told the person cooking was Grandma herself. Imagine at how surprised we were to hear that! We paid our bill and left. We barely made it home and had very upset stomach's. I will never go back there and am embarrassed that we chose this place to take our guest. The decor was cute, just a shame that the food and service were so bad. read more

We came across this little gem in old town center of Athens. Really needed a break and my daily cappuccino fix and they delivered! Coffee was good, quaint pretty ambiance and service perfect. We decided to order breakfast avocado toast with egg on top, bagel with egg and side of home fries. They have a full array of fresh baked goods to choose from so we took some to go......already had some at home: yummy bite size blueberry pastry and lemon cookies.
