I just purchased a large pepperoni pizza and 2 steak hoagies and both items were the best that I have ordered for a long time. The pizza was loaded with cheese and pepperoni compared to others that I had purchased. The last time that I ordered steak hoagies (will not mention the pizza parlor) the buns were so hard, I had to throw them away. I am relatively new to the area having moved from Columbus in June when we purchased our house. First place we ordered food from was here. Food was great and everything was fine. Since that first time we have become regulars and only order pizza from here. However tonight's experience just may have caused us to never order from here again. I have over thirty years experience managing different types of food restaurants and have never once treated a customer the way I was treated tonight. We ordered 2 of their by 18" pizzas. An extra cheese and a pepperoni banana pepper and extra cheese, and order of pickle chips and fried mushrooms and a chocolate chips cookie. A $70 dollar order. We asked that the pepperoni pizza to be cut pie shaped. After a rather long time for a pick up order. We picked it up and came home. Upon opening the pizza boxes we discovered the pepperoni was square cut and the cheese was way over done to the point of the bottom crust being nearly black(I took pictures). Called to complain and ask for a remake, the "manager" (I don't believe she was one, couldn't be) asked me if I wanted it brought out to me. I said sure that would be great. Then she said that because it was a pick up order I either had to come all the way back for the remake or charge me a delivery fee because "they have to make their money! But it was ok to have me go back out for their mistake? I NEVER would have done that to my customers. So because I argued the point with her she then refused to remake and told me to call the owner tomorrow and hung up on me. I'm a hard headed man so I called back. She reiterated that she was not gonna remake and hung up on me again! So I called back again. And again. And again. For 35 times until FINALLY and lady named Amy (said she was a manager) answered and after calling the owner agreed to remake my pizza(just the burnt one). Amy is the only reason I did not give a 1 star! Will I ever order from here again? I don't know. We will see what happens when I call the owner tomorrow.( First Lady the bad one said his name is dewy(?) jones. We will see if that's even true. If I am satisfied with the outcome I will amend my star review. The balls in your court grandma. Let's hope this night was just a fluke and things are made right. Update: well it is now the next night and after calling this place a couple of times this morning to try and contact the owner(dewi jones) I was told that he was not in yet and that they would have him call me when he came in. As you probably can tell, I never got that call. Obviously I can not know if he even got that message or not but here's the thing. I'm darn sure he heard about the trouble I had last night with that so called manager, so a good owner would have called me first thing to try and settle the issue. I guess he is ok with his customers being treated that way. This is fine. I can take my 70$ orders and find a better place that puts the customers first. I hope this is a warning to any of you out there thinking of trying this place. And if you're new to the area and looking for your "go-to" spot for a slice, keep looking. This place is not it. On a side note and added now because I had not checked it until after I posted this the first time, the chocolate cookie was burnt as well. But that's the least of the problem. Dewi shame on you. I have also changed my star rating. Amy you still get the 3 stars but I will now replace the 5stars for the food with a 1star only because there's not an option for negative stars. They've got the best pizza, but they don't have stuffed crust. They also have very good service. I have only had home deliveries.

Every Sunday we have family night here at my house. I had ordered from Grandmas for one of our dinners an well that's all it took! Lol Now that's all they ask for when it comes to dinner on Sunday's! We ordered pizza and wings for my birthday, and both were delicious! The pizza crust is exceptional, and was cooked perfectly. The sauce was good, and they were very generous on toppings! Tonight we ordered a big momma, and a pizza hoagie my husband brought it home, all 5 boys in my house only ate it bc they we're hungry, i called up there to speak with a manager only to be told there wasnt one there, only offered me to have it remade or get a credit when i explained i wasnt coming back again that i wanted my money back i was told they couldnt issue a refund without a manager and when i asked when a manager would be there i was told tomorrow once i said i would call back tomorrow evening i was then hung up on. Okay, I'm originally from Chicago, so I'm a bit of a pizza snob. While I can't say their pizza is the best i have ever had, what I can honestly say is their pizza is good :) I liked it more than some of the other pizza chains in Cincinnati. If i get the craving, which I usually do, more often than not, i will order from Grandma's. The crust was pretty good. Could have been a little crunchier, but i think it was our fault for picking up 30 minutes later than we said we would. We ordered a Large - half bacon & onion / half pepperoni and onion. Considering there's only 2 pizza places in town its the better choice by far. The food is hit or miss. I've had amazingly good and I've had throw it in the garbage bad. If we order close to closing time our pizza is always burnt on the bottom. The mgr said its because the ovens are so hot by the end of the night. Humm...ok? We have issues with delivery all the time. If your order is $10 and you give them a $20 might as well kiss your change goodbye. The driver goes to the car for I assume change and leaves! He did this a second time with a $6.00 order I gave him a $10 and he left. I called to complain and the mgr said she would have to charge another delivery fee for him to bring my change back! A few delivery guys have also tried to charge more than the subtotal given over the phone. So, watch it. They refuse to carry a money pouch to your door when delivering forcing you to tip them the entire amount of your change. Its wrong and very rude to assume a tip, even though I always tip well, and many customers complain about it yet they are still doing it. Staff seems to turn over rather frequent. Not the cleanest or friendliest either, especially the cook. She barks orders at staff, belittles them and barks at customers coming in for carryout. She is always red faced, sweating and acting as if her feet and back hurt and we the customers are annoying her. She mixes up orders a lot then blames the customer. She acts like she hates her job to which I say, quit! Don't expect a refund or food credit either if your food is wrong or quality is poor. They want you to bring it back right now to be remade. If you live far from town or don't have a car and ordered delivery for a reason...tough. The crust is pretty awesome...the sauce not so much. Generous toppings round it out. However bacon is always very fatty and rubber like. Bacon should be crisp and even if you ask for it well done you get it how they want. Not to be confused with the pizza place with several locations. .name ..well fairly close. This place have great food.service is a notch above the classic pizza places you have been a custom to. But here is the kicker. My wife and I were across the street in the pharmacy (I will not give the name of the pharmacy. .but it is the only one in Williamsburg ohio.) She was very sick. .I mean she should have been in the hospital. Having throwing up at the drop of a hat. Massive diarrhea. The list would go on. I asked if she could sit down. And possibly use the ladies room. Well the answer was a firm no. We use the pharmacy for prescription/so too. She could not make it home to our restroom. So I asked the pizza place if she could use there restroom. Of course you may.they even offered a free coke to possibly settle her stomach. Please use this pizza parlor when you are in the area. ..they want your business. And buy the way ...the food is well worth the trip. And as to the Fitzgerald pharmacy. ..we do take our business there or any of their other locations. (Wopz...they hehe name slipped out) I hope some day the pharmacy owners need to the a crap...and I'm there to explain that the best they can do is go back to their car and shot their pants. Unreal. Grew up here and this was the best stuff ever. Just moved back from out of state and it was terrible. After 45 minutes I called to double check on my order. Out of state number, thought they might not take it seriously. Hour and a half later called again to see status and they still had nothing for me. Other than "it's still on its way". I live 3 blocks away. Finally got my order of 2 hogies and 2 fries and it was just what I thought. Dried out and awful from sitting for over an hour. read more

While the food is absolutely delicious and the staff friendly, the place itself is disgusting. They have roaches. The last time we ordered food from this place, there was a roach cooked in the bottom of the crust. Former employees have spoken out of the conditions of this place of how roaches are getting into the food but they knock them away and go on. They are also bad at how they keep frozen items. They don't keep food stored at proper temperatures and they use rotted vegetables on their burgers. I would avoid this place. read more

Will not be ordering from them again. This is a little lengthy review but I feel all the information is important. We started ordering from Grandma's Pizza when we moved to the area a little over a year ago. We always ordered the Big Mama and it was pretty good, and the kids really liked it. We hadn't ordered from here in a few months so last night I decided to try something new. Ordered a Large Meat Topper, Medium Hawaiian, Mushroom Calzone, and a 2 Litter of Root Beer a total of $41, almost double what I usually spend, and was told it would be 30-35 min for my pickup. It takes 10 min to get there from my home, I waited 25 min before I left. I arrive and they tell me my order isn't ready. They started giving excuses that they had 30 orders come in at once and they ran out of cheese so they had to shred more etc. (I can understand this I've worked in restaurants both as a server and a chef) I'm a little annoyed but ok, so I ask how long and I'm told 8-10 min. Not happy about it but I get a seat and start talking to another lady who was also waiting on her order. She had already been there for an extra 15 min and my order was done before her's. During our wait the employees keep opening the oven door saying "It isn't cooking", "I don't know why it isn't cooking", "Is the pilot light on?" etc I look at the lady I had been talking with and said "Well if they left the oven door closed our orders might actually get cooked." I mean really! Do they not know that the more they open the oven door the longer it takes for things to cook? So my wait end up being about 15 min for my order I go to leave but I check my pizzas to make sure they are the correct types because the last time I ordered it was wrong. While I'm doing this a 2 Litter of Dr. Pepper is placed next to my order. I told them that wasn't what I ordered. I wanted Root Beer and when I called the person taking my order said they had Root Beer. Again more excuses, they now have a contract with Pepsi so the no longer have Coke products etc. Ummm... Hello! Pepsi bottles Mug Root Beer why don't you have it if you have a contact with Pepsi? Any way, I refused to take the Dr. Pepper so they refunded the $3 for the soda. I ended up stopping at the gas station and buying a bottle of MUG Root Beer and by the time I got home it had been an hour and 10 min since I had placed the order. Ridiculous! So we go to eat the pizzas and they are HORRIBLE! There is almost no sauce on the pizzas and the sauce has been changed, it tastes like they opened a can of plain tomato sauce and added water to it. There is no flavor to it what so ever. The Meat Topper was supposed to have 5 meats it only had 3, The Hawaiian was also supposed to have bacon and some brown sugar on it which it didn't. The calzone was supposed to be cheese and mushroom but there was also peppers and onions in it and it was more dough than anything else except in the very center where it seems like all the toppings were placed. Before I left the store I had to ask them for additional sauce because they gave me a 2 oz cup that was only half full, which is roughly 1.5 tablespoons. Not nearly enough sauce for a calzone. I ended up using my homemade sauce because their's was so bad. Needless to say this is the finale straw. Between orders being screwed up, poor quality and a staff that has no idea what they are doing, I'm done. Williamsburg location is owned by the same people that owns Mama's Grill, I hope they don't also own the Mt. Orab Grandma's Pizza as well, or if they do they leave it alone because their pizzas are 1000 times better and I will take any future business there. read more

Just got a delivery from Grandma's, Spent $40 including the tip and it wasn't worth half of that amount. It took an hour and fifteen minutes to get the delivery, The driver was unfriendly and dressed like a fat slob, regardless I still tipped over $5 to the driver. The Chef salad was made with slimy wilted lettuce,which made it inedible. The pizza had virtually no sauce but was atleast eaten by the dog. The cinnamon sticks were delivered without icing and had so much powdered cinnamon on the top that it was like taking the cinnamon challenge, I literally choked on it. They were completely inedible. The cheese sticks were dried out, again.....inedible. I will never order from here again, this is ridiculous. Over an hour wait and now I have to order from somewhere else. read more

I decided to get Grandma's Pizza for dinner tonight I called and called and it was busy so I know they're probably running a little behind or something so I decided to go in and order when I got there I noticed they had two phones on the wall on the right side by the oven and you can hear them beeping because they have the phone's off the hook so that they couldn't ring and when I ask about them they really didn't know what to say (and they stayed off the hook for a good but while i was there)there was two women and two men I believe and they were cooking the man was so so rude he was a white man darker hair there were two women that were not really the nicest you could tell that they were really stressed and quite sure what they were doing completely you could tell they were new and lost then there was the man making the pizzas taller dark skin man he didn't say much so - I still order food and waited well over 45 minutes before I got it. This visit was so much different than my last visit my last visit I had two women different women wait on me they were so kind. When I asked to speak to the manager( only to see why it was taking as long as it was I know it's a Saturday night and they were busy but 45+ minutes plus for one pizza) and the one lady said she was the manager and I said oh the last time I was in here it was a different lady... and she said she had to come takeover the store because the other lady wasn't working out( this really shocked me because the last time I was in the store which was my first time (a couple months ago)that manager was very nice they were busy at the time I went in but she didn't seem stressed at all they were answering phones it was just a completely different experience this time, the manager my first visit was a shorter blonde hair bigger figured girl )but was still an employee of the store- I said I really hate to hear that she was a very nice girl- anyways I was just curious why it's taking so long for me to get my food and she just told me they were busy which I knew so I waited for it.. I finally got my food ,took it home when I open the box the pizza was so dark it was basically inedible the crust was so hard :/ so not sure if I'll go back --but if I do give them another chance hopefully everything's a lot better and I will write another review on my next visit read more

The worst customer service I have ever seen. The "assistant manager," she wouldn't tell me her name, her my mother wrong on the phone. My mother told her pick up then right after that said actually change that to delivery. Then ordered my usual mushroom steak hoagie and fries. She even gave her card number over the phone (who does that if it wasn't for delivery). Then 45 mins later they still had not delivered the food. We called up there to ask what was going on. They said they had it down as pick up... ok they should have said sorry I should have verified that information let me get that to you as soon as possible. At least 15 years in customer service that is what I have been taught. Anyways she proceeds to put us on hold for about 5 mins then comes back and says that she would have to charge the card extra on top of it that it was going to take another 10 mins to go up a hill. Literally my house is not even 2 mins up the street. Once she got here my father steps outside and just asked what was going on? She started freaking out on my dad saying that he was screaming at her and that she didn't have to take it. Took the food, refused to give me her name, and left.
