This place is yucky. It is quite run down and the food is gross. I came here with my husband's grandma because she said she liked to eat here. I don't know why. Fine for simple breakfast. Staff were pleasant and service was quick. Lots of food though! I'm sure they must throw out tons of leftovers. Hopefully some nearby squirrels have some nice news. Wow. Order the gyros plate and you will be treated to a feast. The greek salad is just enormous (and tasty), the gyros meat plentiful, the potatoes cooked just right, and the dessert selection very good. And all of this included in the plate price. Grandmas table is a nice family owned restaurant. While the staff here is very friendly and accommodating the food is nothing that you can't get at any other dinner. Last time I ate here I had the cheese burger and although a bit on the dry side it was still fairly tasty. My fries however were old and tasted like they were sitting under the heat lamp for some time. Fries aside Grandma's table is still a good value for the money and a nice place to go eat. Just went there for the first time for Father's Day. Could not have made a better choice. The food was fantastic and our waitress, Tiffany, could not have been better. It was CRAZY BUSY. She made us feel like we were her only table. She made my Father's day morning. She greeted us with a warm friendly smile that will stick with me all day. The service was perfect and the food was great. Traditional breakfast of eggs sausages and pancakes this time, but I will look forward to trying something else when we return. I decided to go out for breakfast and ended up at grandma's table in Montgomery Illinois. The service was great my waitress Georgie was excellent and the breakfast food was excellent. We have been frequent visitors since moving to the area. The food is great, especially the from scratch soups. The portions are large allowing for a few days leftovers. Went here for breakfast on Mothers Day and was amazed at how well they did on this very busy day. They had extra staff on hand and there were people constantly refilling drinks cleaning tables so waits were short it was truly like a well run machine. Over the last few years I have probably gone to Grandma's Table about 20 times. The food is good and the portions tend to be quite large. I like to get the breakfast food a lot, but I probably have tried about 10 different items on the menu. None of them blew me away as amazing, but every time I have been very satisfied with the meal and the service. They do have a full bar, but I have never thought to get a drink there. The only thing that I think is a bit strange is, that when you pay up at the front desk with a credit card, they ask you out loud if you would like to add a tip. Even as someone that tends to tip on the higher side, something has always seemed a bit unnatural about announcing how much tip you are leaving. I think if Yelp allowed it I would have given it a rating of 4.5 stars. I'm sure we will continue to eat here on a fairly regular basis. read more

We have been coming here for 20+ years, and always return for the good food and great service. Portions are large, so plan on a 2nd meal for later. Homemade soups taste great! I really like this place the interior is very homey and Comfortable. The 1st time I was thwere I had the chopped steak dejohn nice portion and cooked well . I went back the 2nd time with freinds and recommend the chop steak, when it arrived it just didn't look the same and the Portion was alot smaller. Lovely neighborhood diner. I just moved to this area and had a great brunch there this past weekend. I had a large and non-greasy spinach-feta omelette with 2 massive rye toast slices and a fruit plate. My coffee was filled promptly 3 times with a good house blend by a friendly waitress. What a horrible experience! The waitress spilled water on my friend's phone, my meal was outrageously high - I ordered a short stack, bacon and OJ and my bill was $18+! When I asked to review my charges with the hostess, she was too busy to take the time, I was NEVER given a breakdown of the charges nor a receipt. And when I called to speak with the manager, I was blown off. They do a huge business but to take advantage of customers by price gouging is just poor business. I wont ever dine there again and will seize every opportunity to tell others to avoid there. I will go to IHOP where I can get 2 eggs, 2 bacon and 2 pancakes for $7, get better service, and find management who wants my return business. read more

We go here all the time. Few times a month on average. We've been going here for over two years. Great food, wonderful selection, and their staff is always friendly. The owners are always nice to us and recognize us as regulars. Even when they're extremely busy, they are timely and pleasant. The bread is always fresh and wonderful. The soups are quite good (vegetable beef is their best by far). Desserts are included with some meals, and are also excellent. Grandmas Table is an all around great restaurant. The waitresses are always smiling and friendly and the owner is quick to welcome you with a handshake and a smile. The whole atmosphere is very cozy and familiar feeling, it really is like you're sitting at your Grandmas table! The food is always prompt and served in very large portions. I have yet to try something I didn't enjoy. Try their homemade dressings they won't disappoint. You can even buy some to go! I also enjoy that they collect cash donations for the local food pantry. I absolutely love this place! I have been going there since I was a little kid and the owner always comments on that. The staff is usually very friendly and attentive. I have had new staff that aren't that way, but they never last. I have to say that the breakfast is the very best! I LOVE the baked apple pancake! It takes about thirty minutes to make so it's great time to talk and catch up. If you want it as soon as you get there, call before you leave and pre-order it. I suggest trying it at least once! I now live over an hour away but when I'm in town I try to stop by. The skillets and omelets are also great breakfast items. I also love their chicken noodle soup! It's a very nice restaurant where you don't feel rushed out and you don't feel like you need to hunt the staff down to get service. It's the best Family Restaurant I've been to. read more
