I've been to Grandma's Table twice in the past couple of weeks. Once for dinner and once breakfast. It is a nice family diner style restaurant. It is a bit unique in that they also have a bar. The staff were very nice both times I was there. For dinner I ordered the country fried steak. It came with mashed potatoes and corn. The meal also came with either soup or salad. I ordered the cream of chicken and rice soup. It was delicious, as was my entree. My wife had cheese steak which she enjoyed. Both of us were happy enough with our meals to come back for breakfast a few days later. The breakfast menu is very extensive. I ordered my go to of biscuits and gravy. I also had a side of sausage patties. The biscuits and gravy were good. My wife had French toast and a side of bacon. Over all we were pleased with our experience and will be eating there again.

Very nice staff service, Friday special of bbq pork rib (bone-in), corn, baked potato with a bowl of clam chowder soup and sherbet for dessert. With Diet Coke came to $23.50

    Big Dipper, terrible presentation.

We've been dining here since Pete opened back in 1984, but our last couple of experiences have left us saddened to see how things have changed. We arrived about 11:40 on Sunday and were surprised to see the restaurant less than half full. The chicken with rice soup was good, but my husband's fries weren't done enough and his cheeseburger was blah. My Big Dipper was presented as a mess. The big shock was the the bill being $40.00 for lunch for two. We had planned on going to George's, but they were so crowded that even the side streets were filled with cars, with no parking in their lot. George's food is waaaay better than Grandma's Table is and even though they raised their prices too, they're nowhere near as high and the food is amazing!!! Two stars because our waitress was very good. I'm saddened that this was most likely our last time dining here.

Nice ambiance. Fireplace near our table.

This place is a staple for me. Always get the gyro for breakfast. Always get the same waitress. Pete's ok too. :)

Ambiance was nice, including an outdoor seating area where I enjoyed my coffee and avocado toast. Service was good as well; friendly staff, prompt service. The coffee, delicious. Good roast, good price, what more do you need. The avocado toast, probably why you are seeing 4 stars instead of 5. I have had avocado toast all of this country - sort of a go to for a light breakfast before one of my trainings. And, as far as avocado toast goes, this one was just okay. Fairly bland, despite there being an herb pesto-type sauce on it and some "half-dried" tomatoes. And when it comes to avocado toast, there is so much opportunity for good citrus flavor, salt, herbs, etc.. So, good cup of coffee, and hopefully some other good things on the menu - I only tried the avocado toast. Good folks, worth another try if I'm in town again.

They got the sandwiches which they enjoyed. I ordered their mac n cheese with the buffalo chicken. Which I thought their mac n cheese was super creamy so that was a plus. The chicken and buffalo were on top of the mac n cheese and that was okay. I guess I thought it might have already been mixed it but it was just sitting there so it didn't quite meet my expectations. But overall I would go back.

I had the Majadito which is a beef/steak rice with eggs, plantains, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. A relatively simple dish when described, but the combination of flavors was delightful. And a big portion I ended up bringing some home to have for breakfast the next day. My uncle had the asada en olla, a roasted beef stew with rice that had my uncle pausing repeatedly to comment how delicious it was. And he is less of a foodie than I am, so for him to comment like that was a big compliment. We shared some steak and chicken empanadas. A bite of empanada with some of their house made hot sauce is a bite of heaven. Service was so sweet and kind, attentive but in a respectful way. This is truly a family run spot and I felt like I was a guest in their home being given a home cooked meal made with love. The restaurant is clean and cozy. The bathrooms included. And there is plentiful street parking in front and the surrounding areas. A gem in the suburbs that shouldn't be hidden. While I always look for them at the markets, I will definitely be back to this place.

Special shout out to Barb the bartender. From beginning to end my experience was superb. She greeted me with a smile and do everything she could to meet my cocktail needs. She really nailed the appletini, I might add. She highly recommended the Southwestern Chicken Wrap from the menu, and I'm so glad I took her recommendation. Everything came out quickly and I wouldn't up loving everything, one more than the other while being throughly satisfied with everything. Might I add there was a chicken with wild rice soup that came with my wrap (no photo, sorry) but it was utterly amazing to eat. Thank you and wow!

I got the boneless wings (for sauce I chose garlic Parmesan & one off the menu that the waitress recommended and said was comparable to a teriyaki). The wings were SO over breaded, they were hard and both of the sauces were terrible. Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I agreed that these were easily the worst wings we've ever had, we each only ate one of each flavor and had enough. My boyfriend got the pork tenderloin. He asked about size and was told it was pretty large, when it came out it was the size of a thin chicken patty. He said the taste was okay, but nothing special. The fries were good. For appetizers, we got fried pickles, cheese curds, and pretzel bites. They were all about what you would expect for bar food. Although, our food was not great, the burgers that other people were eating looked delicious. We would definitely come back to try those, seemed like burger was the way to go!
