Sweet-and-sour chicken Chicken chow mein Barbecue pork fried rice And eggrolls

The service was so good. The food was fresh made to order and they have the cutest little helper there my first time there and I will definitely be returning Customer. The soup was good cause I did have soup too, but I didn't take a picture of that and I had some of their fried shrimp. They're so delicious and their crab cream cheese wontons so good

We were in the area and wanted Chinese food so we decided to try this restaurant. We were seated & order immediately and the food came out pretty quick. - Egg flower soup: decent with good amount of egg & tofu bits but it was lack of any flavor. - Hot & sour soup: good - not too sour and enough spiciness but good amount of filling (mushroom, egg, tofu) - Sesame chicken lunch combo (with egg roll & fried rice): the fried rice was decent (nothing special). The sesame chicken pieces were crispy yet the meat was juicy. The sesame sauce was okay (sweet & savory). The egg roll was crunchy and the filling was good. - Chicken with garlic sauce lunch combo (with egg roll & fried rice): the fried rice was decent. The chicken with garlic sauce was just ok (the meat was juicy and the vegetables still had crunch) but the sauce was just meh. Overall, the food was 3.5 stars.

Ordered general chicken combination meal with chicken chow mein and wonton soup. Delicious! Probably the best general chicken I had in a long time. I prefer my chicken crispy rather than soggy in sauce and this was on point. I ordered via DoorDash so I'm not familiar with service or ambience. However, they did pack my order nicely and stuck everything in a box to prevent spills.

Picked up takeout from Granite Bay Chinese Restaurant and took it home. It turned out to be a pleasingly tasty meal. We ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Snow Peas with Beef, and the House Special Fried Rice. The food held up well despite the time taken to drive home. The Snow Peas with Beef was particularly good. Tender slices of beef, slightly crunchy snow peas (not over cooked) and flavorful fried rice. In my opinion better than the average Chinese restaurant meal in the area ...... for the money. Competitively priced and fast friendly service.

Overall they were pretty good. We came in when it was slow. Service was decent. The food was pretty good. The crab wantons are different than expected, but they are okay. The orange chicken was pretty good. The inside was decorated minimally but still nice. The prices for this area were about standard. I would recommend this place to others.

Good standard takeout. We got bbq pork chow mein, orange and another similar chicken (wish they were a bit crispier).

I just experienced the best food and hospitality from Hometown Dumpling…read more I went for lunch on a Friday and with their help, I ordered the pork and shrimp dumplings, BBQ pork buns, and my favorite, sesame balls. The portions were generous, and everything was delicious. There were so many dumplings in the order that I couldn't finish them, and I took them, cold, to my teenager, and she thought they were fantastic. Further, they let me stay in their restaurant and finish a work project. I took up a seat and they were nothing but accommodating to me. I really appreciate all the hospitality that they showed me while I was there working.

Hometown Dumpling in Folsom, CA, serves up some authentic homemade dumpling... they gots boiled,…read more steamed , and pan fried in a variety of fillings. The menu also has wonton soup, noodles, soup dumplings, fried spring rolls, crab rangoons, cucumber salad (Asian style), Chinese egg custards, bbq pork buns, sesame red bean paste fried balls,, stir fry veggies, taro steamed buns, and some other items. I've tried the dumplings boiled, steamed, and pan fried. The boiled ones are slippery and best when I'm in the mood to have them swirled in a sauce like hot chili oil. Streamed ones have a slight chew to the dumpling exterior than the boiled or fried dumplings. But doesn't take away from the taste. Pan fried is good when you want a crispier exterior and slight crunch. Whatever way you order 'em... it's all good! The egg custards, sesame balls, and crab rangoons are classic and my other go tos. I enjoy the diversity of the menu. Gotta confess, in Folsom there is not a lot of these good authentic dumpling places. Plus throw in some dim sum items...score! Is it Michelin star, no. It is homemade and comforting, yes! The place is clean, comfortable, and has basic furnishings and decor. There is no music or TV. The owner works most of the shifts. It truly is a small family business that welcomes your family.

SoCal and the Bay Area are where it's at for Asian food... and Vancouver!! Okay, sorry, I'm rambling now. Anyways, I'm glad I ventured a little farther out to Folsom to grab some delicious food. Their orange chicken is super flavorful, and I loved that they used real oranges. The Kung Pao chicken is amazing--they include a variety of veggies and squash, which I loved. The beef chow mein was on point as well. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the chow mein was a little too soft (though the flavor was there), and the price felt a bit steep for the portion size. Three orders for $60--eeep! I miss the good ol' days when a whole plate was filled to the rim and overflowing from the to-go box for $12-$15, but it is what it is. Anyways, if you've got the dough, I'd spend it here. Have a great day!

Our waiterS were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable in their menu options. One of them was super friendly -- maybe even a bit cheeky! -- and he made us feel at home. Second, the ambiance was dinner date night worthy so long as you don't mind a few TVs. They didn't bother us nor was the volume obnoxiously loud. The bar area is fun and modern-looking. Third, ohmygoodness! The food was sooo delicious! The Cantonese-style Seabass paired quite lovely with Shrimp Fried Rice and Combination Veggies!!! The seabass was topped with sliced ginger and onions. It was super tasty! It reminded me of home cooked meals growing up. The shrimp in the fried rice was tender and lighted dusty with some type of flour that made it perfectly crisp. And the combination veggies was perfectly cooked and served in a light sauce! Thing is, I'm not a huge fan of "Asian Fusion" but this place seemed to hit all the boxes for us. Go give Folsom Palace a try! p.s. The noodles were flavorful and well-seasoned, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were fresh. Everything tasted great together. However, for $20, I expected a little more. There were only 4 shrimp in the box, which feels like too little for the price. If they had included at least 6-8 shrimp, it would have been much better. The food is delicious, but the value for the money could definitely be improved.
