Terrible experience, the front office ladies lied to me and deceived me. Waited 9 months to get my teeth back every time I would call they would tell me some lie and promised to call me back, they did not ever call me back. I had called and said a tooth broke the front office lady said she would talk to Dr. Keller and call me back, never called me back. When Idid go in, he said why didn't you call and tell me your tooth broke, I said I did call. They all acted so nonchalant about anything to do with me. The worst dentist that I have ever been too. Care was not professional as a dental office should be, as the same as the doctor's work.

I am commenting on the correct business. I saw you, David, personally for review of X-rays. My name through the VA is Alicia Jones. Also to say, one of your employees suggested that simply speaking to someone else to straighten out why I was getting so many repetitive and inconsistent calls about appointments, services and records wouldn't be a solution because "everybody still has their little hands all over your files and that will probably make you uncomfortable." To which I replied, "are you suggesting that the staff will retaliate or sabotage my medical records, and break the law for my asking to speak to a different person?" She gasped then said with malice "They might just be intentionally not making your appointments and accidentally calling you back!!" I was shocked. Then I realized she told the truth and that made absolutely sense as to what was really going on. Also noted that 4 months after I moved to another state, I received a letter from the female "manager" saying I had "made a history" of not speaking to staff the way they wished to be spoken to and so they were not going to be making any more appointments. My question is still, what appointments are they referring to have made anyway since they never made any after I saw you ? To say I "have a history" is quite interesting given I never called them, they always called me. This is not a loss to me in any way-- but I find it amazing that some can keep jobs while turning their legal standards and work space into a hen house of unprofessionalism. read more

I chose this private dental practice thinking I'd get more personalized, ethical care compared to the big-name chains. Unfortunately, that couldn't be further from the truth. Despite all the claims of being different, they turned out to be just as money-hungry and unprofessional as any large corporate dental office. I've spent a lot of money here and was already in the middle of dealing with insurance issues when they decided to tack on additional fees without so much as a phone call or email. Just a letter that looked like a standard receipt, which I honestly thought was just confirmation of the payments I'd already made. No clear communication, no warning. To make matters worse, I later found out I was being charged an absurd interest rate, which felt like a slap in the face after trying to keep up with what I thought was already an overinflated bill. Insurance was supposed to cover more, and I'm still fighting that battle but this place couldn't care less. Their only concern seems to be getting paid, no matter how it affects the patient. So if you're considering this place thinking it's going to be a better experience than a corporate clinic look closely at your bills, question every charge, and don't be fooled by the Private Practice charm. It's all the same game just with a different logo. I'm so disappointed and the thing that hurts the most, is I really liked the Dr. but after this experience it's been made clear that it's time to look for a new provider. read more

VERDICT: 100% faithfully recommended. Please show up 30 min early if you come from Portland due to traffic. WORTH IT. DETAILED REVIEW of Experience: I have had to have major work done here. And they are handling everything. But the big thing is? The staff. The cleaning that I received was the most thoughtful and attentive I have ever had. I did not once feel like my mouth was filling with Saliva or water, and the Nurse / Doc was like a mind reader. I mean it when I say that as far as I can recall, I have never had a cleaning or work done is such a way that they paid so much attention to my comfort in the chair. I am DEATHLY scared of dentists & Docs. And I can feel when people are not very nice or care. These people do. From front staff to everyone I have met in the dental clinic or interacted with. Its like a small town feel if you know what I mean. And folks, if I remember something like this and bother to write a review, it means something. Because I don't like dentists. I don't like going TO the dentists. I don't even like going to the Doctor. But I don't even get any hesitation going here. The place is Nice. The Waiting room is welcoming. The HVAC is perfect. The music is calming without seeming boisterous. The Paper work was easy too. And they do work with Tri Care & Va Community health. Without hesitation, Highly recommended. And there are lots of places in the area to shop and get something to drink as well in the area a short and pleasurable walk away. In the waiting room they have a great selection of magazines as well (Pictured) and even Kleenex for those with hay fever. The doc really thought of everything. Its like the Nordstroms of Dentists IMO. And they are very gentle and care about your comfort. The Rooms all have a nice view and are easy to get around in. The place is also EXTREMELY CLEAN! You can't even find any dust there. Not kidding. I can't tell you that much about the services as I have to get them all done. But boy are they proactive. They do everything they can to remind you of your appointments and even call you. This is so welcomed today as its so much better then an automated call. But they do those as well if you prefer! I have severe memory and cognative issues, and they have no problem taking care of me. They understand and are very cool about it. Love the front desk staff and everyone I have interacted with. I know this sounds like fluff, but its true. I don't have anything bad to say about them. The only thing I would add is a water cooler in the waiting area. That's about it. And i'm reaching here. (There is a black rock, a Tea place, and coffee places as well as a Juice bar and Jamba juice close by! :-) Like I said. I really love going here. And I DO NOT LIKE going to the DENTISTS! Beware! My implants failed not once but three times! Charged me for noncovered services (bone grafts) which were very expensive and did not work. I had never had issues with bone loss until that first implant failure. I wish i could prove it but firmly believe implant misplaced and bone loss from subsequent removal. Why else was one implant sucessful and the one right next to it a complete excruciating painful failure? He of course denies. I ended up with a huge bill and a bridge. If you are wanting implants? Due to my fear of dentistry, I hadn't been to a dentist in 12 years; and it showed. It took my losing a tooth, bottom front, to get me to a dentist. I did my homework and decided to try Granite Dental. First of all - his staff is top notch. They did their very best to put me at ease the moment I walked in. All very polite...all very professional. And they know when they have the real, actual "Chicken Little" in their midst. After speaking with Dr. Keller - I left the office feeling like the weight of the world had been lifted from my shoulders - that's how afraid I was of dentists. Dr. Keller, one of the nicest most concerned dentists I have ever met, replaced my tooth with little effort on my part - and no pain !! UPDATE: The manager contacted my father and told him that if they were to get a bad review on yelp because of our experience we had, they will refuse to work with my father. No wonder they seem to have 5 stars on yelp... they threaten everyone to not post anything bad. Im shocked and amazed... This clinic has recently changed out their management and receptionists. I work with hundreds of companies and I have to say these guys were the most unpleasant and disrespectful individuals I have had to communicate within a very long time. My father recently had work done at this clinic and needed to finish up his treatment. He had already gone over the treatment with the doctor and it seemed that both of them were already set to get the work done. Unfortunately for my father, Lisa (the manager) saw that he needed to have the work done as soon as possible and she decided that this was a perfect time for "negotiating" a new price. The treatment plan that my father signed had miraculously disappeared and when asked where those document were, I was told "we had a big mess in the office and that treatment plan was a mistake". I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau for unethical business practice and working in bad faith with their customers. I shall file a complaint with the Commission of Dental Accreditation, this was just unacceptable business practice. I shall use all of my outlets of social networking and advertising as ways to inform the public on how horrible of an experience we had with this clinic. When I tried to ask SIMPLE questions they refused to answer them. They said that I would need to schedule an appointment over a week out for me to talk to Lisa, not the doctor. I tried to have a calm conversation, multiple times I asked Lisa to not raise her voice at me and not yell to no avail. When ever my father or I would try to say anything, Lisa would chime in trying to talk over us. She had no interest in hearing what either of us wanted to say. She told me to not talk to her and to leave the clinic. This is just pure aggressiveness towards people; she just exuded pleasure in seeing someone else's displeasure. We scheduled an appointment to talk Lisa, the woman that sits at the front desk (still can't believe how absurd that sounds), and before I left I mentioned that I would like all of my father's questions answered at that appointment. What happened next was the most OUTRAGEOUS of all: Lisa claimed that I had stolen documents and called the police on me. I was told not to come to the appointment. So it seems that not only is she disrespectful, gloats, has no manners and acts unethically; she is not afraid to lie either. I guess this is a great example of a good doctor hiring bad management, and how this management can so easily drive a business into the ground. My advice for anyone that wishes to do their dental work at Granite Dental: don't ask questions; they will not answer them and they will call the cops on you so that you can't ask them again. This dental clinic is definitely a different clinic from when my father went to it the first time; it was a dream come true. Doctor was polite, understanding, and easy to talk and work with. The front desk was very pleasurable and helpful. My first impression was that it was a 5 star dental clinic. It is a very big shame that such a good business turned so bad. read more

They over bill you, claim you have procedures you never had, don't send you bills when they claim you had an existing balance, don't tell you in person about alleged balance and then threated to take you to court.
