Granite escrow was the escrow I used to sell my property in January '21. They messed up the timing such bad that I was still paying mortgage on a house that was recorded to the buyer already. Instead of either pushing out the recording or pulling in the mortgage payment, they decided it is ok to record to buyer and pay the seller mortgage at their earliest convenience. Definitely not professional nor recommended. read more

I heard about Jenna from a friend who recommended her. My wife and I were buying an off market home without an agent. This was also our first home purchase, so I was a little concerned about not using an agent. But Jenna was the perfect quarterback for the process. She kept us in the loop constantly, checking in before weekends and making sure we knew where each party was during each step. I am a consumer that recently closed a refinance through Granite Escrow and it went very smoothly. They were very responsive and sent notaries to my house both times they needed documents signed (once they came out on Sunday). Just FYI the only reason we needed additional signatures was because of loan requirements from my solar system. The interaction that prompted me to write this review was regarding my property taxes. They were paid through escrow but when I checked the county website it didn't show them as paid. I emailed Tami at 7:00pm asking about it and didn't expect a response until the next day. She replied at 8:30pm to let me now the payment was sent and that it can take weeks to show on the county site. The next morning at 8:45am she sent me supporting documentation to show me the payment was made a few weeks ago. I didn't ask for that extra information, but when I checked my email this morning it was a pleasant surprise. I'm old school in my expectation of good customer service and Tami exceeded mine read more

There are some lengthy poor reviews listed here about Granite. I, too, could go on about how displeased I am with Granite services, but will be brief. I recently used Granite for escrow services in the sale of a condo. I was treated rather poorly during the process. After closing I discovered hundreds of dollars was owed to me. To be fair, the refund could've either come from Granite or the condo HOA, but Granite told me it was not their problem and kept redirecting me to the other party (who pointed back at Granite, with more logical arguments as to why). When I'd email and call Granite I either received curt responses, no responses or no call backs. Granite failed miserably on the customer service front. Keep in mind what I and others in this forum have said when choosing an escrow company. You could be the next in line to post here about Granite. And...A month has passed since closing and still no refund. read more

RUN don't walk away from Granite Escrow. After numerous requests to review closing documents prior to actual closing, they were never ready. At closing, we discovered an error (In Granite's favor, of course). We were assured during closing that a check would be mailed to us immediately reimbursing us and to go ahead with the closing. It took 4 1/2 months, at least 20 emails and 20 phone calls to our escrow agent, senior agents, and the CEO to finally get our money back. Granite is the most irresponsible, unreliable, unresponsive escrow company I've ever worked with. read more
