Overall such an incredible experience getting our outdated gray laminate changed out for beautiful quartz counters. I was skeptical at first as the price was much lower than competitors prices I had found, but you truly are getting value for your money. The whole process took less than a week. The team was quick and efficient with everything. I am more than impressed with the granite factory. From setting foot into the show room for the first time, getting "real time" email support while being at the several stone yards during slab selection, to closing the door behind the installers after having the counters installed: Perfect experience! Even a call back because of a gap was taken care off within 3 days. It looks gorgeous, seam, even though a busy stone, is hardly noticeable (very tight and great color match), edges are beautiful and overall fit is great. Boy, this is a tricky one to review. First, this place is very incognito. The only reason I knew of it is because it's on my "scenic" route to work and I watched them completely remodel the entire building and it is spectacularly gorgeous. The Granite Factory's entrance is easy to miss, but is right off of Lincoln by the street parking. Once inside, there will be a small showroom and then the back area is HUGE with tons of slabs of granite. Terry is the owner and is super nice. This is a local business that sources their granite direct. Since I was doing a small bathroom update, I chose from one of the remnants in the back, which saved some money. Now, BEWARE. There are massive windows in the warehouse, which makes it really bright. It threw off the color of the granite slab I chose. I thought I chose a cream color. After they brought it in, I realized it was actually VERY yellow, like GOLD. Still pretty, and there's still swirls of cream, but...NOT what I planned. No one's fault, but...it did affect my experience. Installation. Nightmare. It was snowing when the guys arrived. They didn't wipe their feet or take their shoes off. Result? Mud all over my foyer & bathroom floor. Strike 1. They didn't show me the granite first before they installed. I would have much rather approved the granite (yellow!) before they put it in. I happened to go to the bathroom and - shock! - it was installed already. Ehh. Strike 2. The guy installing came down and said the bowl broke. Say what? I had planned to go in to work once they were done, so I couldn't stay and wait for them to come back. He didn't offer me any details - did he drop it? Was it defective? So when he left, I inspected my vanity and come to find out I had water on the inside of my vanity. They didn't bother to put a protective cloth on my vanity, so I have scuff marks and scratches inside my beautiful new vanity. My brand-new tile is scratched. WHAT THE (fill in the blank)!! STRIKE 3! I called and left a message explaning the entire installation experience. Terry returned my call and said that the bowls come in bulk shipments from China and sometimes have hairline cracks that break during installation. Well, if this is a common problem, why don't your guys carry spares just in case? Why didn't the installer tell me this? Terry sent them back the next day, which was a Saturday, and this time, they took their shoes off & brought a dropcloth, but I had already covered the vanity - I was taking no more chances! The installer did not explain how to clean the granite, he did not caulk between the wall and the backsplash, he didn't say if I needed to seal it, and he did not apologize for the damage to my vanity. It can be hard to get a hold of Terry. He goes back and forth between the office in the showroom and the warehouse. But it was during the holidays, so I'm not sure if it was just bad timing or if he's always like that. Terry is super laid back, which is a good thing, but...maybe not when dealing with first-time customers? I need a lot of "hand-holding," because this was my first-ever remodel project and I've never had granite before. Am I supposed to caulk myself? How the heck do I clean it? There's a silver ring that seems to go over the drainage outlet in the bowl but it's wrapped in plastic. Am I supposed to caulk that in? What the heck is it? Did that come with the bowl? Terry didn't even offer me any money off for my bad experience. I've never had granite installed before, so I have nothing to compare it to. I did like the fact that he accepts credit cards. You pay half down and then the rest after the job is done. He's really nice and it's a local business. But the installation experience and the customer service really, well, sucked. Would I use him again? Maybe, but I would be adamant that he EXPLAIN everything step-by-step and that he hold the installer accountable. I would be more proactive & protect all my surfaces. I wish they gave a handout to all customers explaining the install process, how to clean & maintain, warranty? Like I said, really hard for me to review... read more

They were friendly, helpful, and right on with keeping measuring and installation times. This is huge if you've dealt with contractors lately! Went in there today and the guy was not helpful at all. I asked if someone could come and measure and he told me to do it myself and if I didn't I would have to wait for a while. I really enjoyed the experience with Granite Factory. The only complaint that I have would be that there was slight damage to the corner of the wall when they installed and they rounded an edge of the granite instead of keeping it all square like the rest of the edges. We used Granite Factory for our kitchen and bathroom addition. We had a lot of granite in our kitchen. Huge island, counters, and backsplash. We were extremely happy with installation. When we came in to see the slabs and visit the showroom the man who helped us (can't remember his name) really bragged about how good their installers were at matching up the seams and making them as unnoticeable as possible and he was right. I hate to see a beautiful granite countertop with a big seam going through it. We've seen kitchens in houses that are well over a million dollars and the granite counters look horrible because of the seams. No way to avoid having seams but Granite Factory did a great job at making them very unnoticeable. Will definitely come back with any granite needs. read more

Overall, I am very happy with the installation of our granite kitchen countertops. We picked a tricky stone to work with (Orion which is a softer stone) and it came out beautiful. Sven, the fabricator even recommended an edge that would work well with this stone. They fabricated and installed just a few days after we picked our slabs from the warehouse we choose. They also provided a sink for the island at a very good price. We had a slight communication problem regarding the direction of "flow" of the granite and one backsplash seam that was rough but Sven was happy to come out on sat to talk with us and send his guys out to fix the seam. They were not the cheapest place we called but sometimes you get what you pay for. Definitely recommend them especially if you choose a Granite that is difficult to fabricate. read more
