She has advanced Alzheimer's. This initial visit was for a routine examination and x-rays. The examination showed she had broken a tooth. Rather than schedule another appointment to repair the tooth, Dr. Christian and staff felt it best for my wife because of her Alzheimer's to fix the tooth while she was in the chair. So much more convenient and accommodating for my wife and myself. I was close to tears with their being so intent on making her comfortable and their understanding and concern for her. Having said that, I want to say that his dental assistant Samantha is very rude has very little class and unprofessional. She joked that a person isn't supposed to look like a hillbilly, referring to my missing teeth. She also joked that I must be addicted to getting dental implants because I wasn't getting any crowns for them, which likely would have been a waste of money and time, as I decided that a Snap In (implant) denture on the top of my mouth, would be the better option, and I'm glad I wasnt impulsive and too eager to get crowns as I likely would've regretted getting them and it would have been a waste of time and money. One day, Dr Wang jokingly asked me to shovel his driveway after a snow storm, which I laughed, and the dental assistant Samantha replied, " yeah that's a way to lose weight" ...Which I didn't think that Dr Wang implied anything about my weight. If Samantha thinks she can disparage, humiliate and joke about any dental patients weight or dental condition she is very wrong. . What I have been through with dental problems isn't a joke to me, although people like her may think its a joke. I struggled with severe depression, and definitely could have taken better care of my teeth and didn't know I would go through the struggles of the dental problems that faced me, and my late father also lost most of his teeth at a young age, 30's and 40's, so unfortunately I think I may have genetically soft teeth. I was trying to decide for a while if I should address how I was treated by this dental assistant Samantha. I wasn't sure if I should say something about it or not, however I decided that it was completely unacceptable how I was treated specifically by this so called dental assiant Samantha. It has been a painful difficult and arduous journey dealing with my dental problems mentally emotionally physically and financially and its reprehensible that people like Samantha thought she could ridicule and joke about me like she did. Without dental patients none of you who work at dentist offices, would have a job. Dr Wang needs to think about the kinds of people he has working for him. I have been a patient for 20+ years, directed to Dr. Bengston by another dentist. That dentist was…read morenot taking new patients, so I asked, "Who is your dentist?" Which seemed a reasonable question. She steered me to this practice and I have been a very satisfied patient for years. I have had my share of restorations, a few crowns, a gold onlay restoration (which I understand is a technically more difficult and less commonly done, but it was extremely well performed and has served me very well), and my routine exams and prophylaxis visits. All of the staff is courteous, helpful, accommodating, and skilled. I could not imagine going anywhere else, unless Dr. B. directed me to do so (needed a root canal and an implant along the way), and he coordinated my treatment with the Endodontics and Oral Surgeon in those two instances, so I did not feel abandoned by optimally cared for. Once the referral work was done Dr. Bengston resumed my care and the final restoration was completed wonderfully.

Her staff from Erin, to the hygienists (so sorry I can't recall names!) that cleaned my daughter and my teeth to the office manager who showed adept skill at dealing with my insurance so I didn't have to... just fantastic. I found Dr. Sigua through my in network insurance provider and called the schedule an appointment with him, I also verified that he was within network. I received text and email confirmations specifically stating my appointment confirmation with Dr. Sigua by name. When I got there I was under the impression that is the doctor I was seeing. Apparently they switched my appointment to their new doctor (Kyle Lapage) because they want to get him patients. I was told at the visit it was all covered by insurance and would result in zero cost as I was expecting because general cleanings are covered and I was already told they were in network. Later I get a bill because Dr. Lapage was not within network with my insurance even though Dr. sigua was. I was told they needed to resubmit it under Dr. sigua and it would be zero dollars. So I called the office to say there was a mistake as I know my appointment was with Dr. Sigua but they said no I did in fact see Dr. Lapage without my knowledge or consent and because he was not within network I now owed hundreds of dollars for the appointment and they would not back down from this even though I was clearly scammed into seeing a doctor I did not schedule with in the first place. This was their mistake and they expect me to pay the bill. I will be taking them to small claims court as I still have all the proof of a scheduled appointment with Dr. sigua who is in fact in network. Please be careful as there is a lot of deception that goes on here in order to gain new patients for their new doctor and screw the patient in the process. Very sad when you can't even trust your dentists office.
