I ordered a cargo rack but through no fault of the staff, it didn't arrive on schedule and I really needed it for an upcoming weekend camping trip. Lisa bent over backward to try to find another one for me. She really went out of her way to help me and her effort alone meant a great deal. In the end I did get my cargo rack which really saved the weekend. I bought my Forester here a few years ago. Car buying is not my favorite thing to do but they made it as pleasant as possible. I also bring the car here for service and they are always professional, friendly and honest. The "check engine' light had been coming on intermittently for several months and they were able to diagnose it as a problem with the catalytic converter. Bought many many cars here. Their salesmen are friendly and not pushy. They gave us a good value on the trade ins as well (2008 Forestester, Lmt Ed.). It is always important to remember that the sales price on the car is the cash vaule; it does not include all the interest you will pay if you choose to take out a loan. We have used their service department for many years and always been impressed with their speed, honesty, and prices. It is definitely worth it to get a service plan with your vehicle... you will get the best price that way and most things are covered! In response to one of the reviews here... ANY mechanic you go to will not be able to guarantee the perfection or life of a part or car. It is not an exact science. Never take a mechanic's advice for 100% assurance. No matter who it is. A very similar thing happened with my 1997 saab. I spent $1,000 on fixing the brakes, and after that it seemed like everything went wrong. I got $200 from Subaru for a trade in. I bought a Subaru Impreza from this dealership nearly two years ago, and even though I now live 45 minutes away and there is a dealership 10 minutes down the road, I still drive all the way to Hudson to have my car serviced because they are the friendliest, most accommodating dealership/service department I've ever dealt with. They do the right thing the first time without making me hem and haw and haggle with them. They have replaced two tires for me at no charge (I did purchase the extended warranty for those). My driver's seat heater stopped working, and they finished the work in a day, covered my rental car, and re-secured a panel under my bumper as well. They could have charged me for fixing the bumper panel and I expected them to, (the seat was under warranty) but they didn't. They don't sugar coat things for me because I happen to be a female, which has been my unfortunate experience at other service places. I know my way around a vehicle and they treat me as such. I can guarantee that if this level of service continues, I'll be shopping for my next Subaru here. read more

Recently bought a used car, and the experience was almost all positive. The Sales Associate was friendly and not "salesy". He was showing us options of vehicles, not trying to sell us anything, and we appreciated that. He was a nice guy who seemed to like his job, and we felt he was honest and sincere. There was one hiccup: A repair that was supposed to be done prior to purchase was not done satisfactorily. But we brought it back a few days later, they apologized and fixed it no issue at all. I came down to Prime because I had read some pretty good reviews and was in the market for a newer Subaru. The sales team did a great job helping me trade in my worse for wear vehicle for a newer 2012 Forester that runs like a dream. I drive my car for personal use and for work, putting hundreds of miles on it weekly with my commute. It is very important for me to have a reliable vehicle and service team to keep myself and my car working. I bought my car here a few months ago and have definitely found the right place to go for this. I had very little pressure when choosing the car I needed, and the member of the sales team, Brian, was excellent with helping me find the right one. Avoid this dealership, there are liars on their sales team. Here's my experience. I set up an appointment with "Big Bill" for 530pm on a Friday to come in and look at a Crosstrek. I called him when I was 30 minutes away, like he asked me to. When I tell him that, he tells me "uuh, we close at 5 buddy, I didnt tell you that when we spoke on the phone? I'm leaving for the day" I tell him no, your website says you close at 6, and you told me our appointment was for 530! Keep in mind, this was an hour and a half drive for me in rush hour traffic. So now Bill changes his tune and says "oh well I never heard from you so I just assumed you weren't coming"....funny, since he was hearing from me right at the time he asked me to call him. So he finally says when you get there, talk to Damien, he'll help me out. I say fine. I get to the dealership, and they definitely close at 6, not 5 like Bill lied to me about to try and push me off the phone so he could dip out early and abandon our meeting. So I talk to Damien, who is a nice guy and I have no complaints with. This was all thrown on him last second by Bill anyway. Damien says he'll go get the keys to show me the Crosstrek. He comes back a few minutes later and says "so unfortunately, that car is in the shop right now". UNBELIEVABLE. So I just drove an hour and a half up from Boston only to be lied to and not even be able to look at the car I came to see. Best part is that when I set up the appointment with "Big Bill" a couple days prior, he told me that if anything happened with the vehicle between then and the meeting (such as it going into the shop and not being available for a viewing I would have assumed), he would give me a courtesy call. I received no such call. An absolute waste of time, and by far one of the most infuriating customer service experiences I've ever had, thanks to the lying "Big Bill". Needless to say they will never get my money. And they don't deserve yours. read more

After years and years of driving Toyotas, I just purchased a Subaru Forester that I am in love with! After doing a ton of research and test driving a number of SUV's, I knew it was the Forester. The number of features that come standard make this vehicle the clear winner value wise, and a quick look at the big review websites will show you that it's also at the top in terms of safety & reliability. It gets great gas mileage but doesn't feel small when you drive it. Perfect for me! From the minute I arrived at Prime Subaru, I was comfortable with the atmosphere and pleased with the inventory which included a good number of vehicles at each trim level. Michael Wright introduced himself to us, and guided us through the process with ease. He was knowledgeable and up front about everything and patient with my initial indecision. Although my husband accompanied me, Mike quickly recognized that it was me that was buying the car, and was astute enough to focus his attention on me. (You would be surprised by how many car sales people have blown this by ignoring me and directing their efforts on my husband.) After a brief negotiation period, Mike came back with the number I was looking for and I signed the agreement. That was Saturday. I was happy to have Sunday in between to reassure myself that I had done the right thing, so on Monday morning I went in with confidence to sign the final papers. Mike went over all of the features of my new Forester, and even programmed in some of my phone numbers and radio stations to give me a head start. When I left the lot, I was completely comfortable in the car, and I knew I had made a good decision on both the vehicle and the dealer. Mike has since followed up with me to be sure all is well. I smile every time I look in my driveway and see my sweet ride. I also feel comfortable that I got a good and fair deal on both the Forester and the car I traded in. Overall, a good sales experience. This is the second Subaru we bought from this dealership. The first one back when they were Subaru of Nashua. We bought a new 2015 Outback this time around. I shopped around online for a couple of weeks corresponding with multiple dealers, until I was down to what was the lowest quote from another dealer. On the way there, I called Prime to see what they could do. They were actually $60 more than the other dealer, but offered a much better price for our trade-in. We had stopped in to the showroom during one of our service visits about 10 months prior, but told the salesman we were looking, but not ready to buy yet. He answered our questions, and let us go without hounding us. I gave him my email, and expected to get spammed weekly. To my surprise, he sent a periodic email, but that was it. I haven't really noticed any dramatic differences between the two owners, both were pretty low pressure as far as the sales dept. goes, which is one of the reasons we bought there on both ocasions. The service has always been good. The service manager has been there for years, and is very personable, and always remembers us. read more

Telling us Subaru warranty has changed and dont cover what it used to...And "if you leave now without buying the warranty if you change your mind it will cost you $3200 because once the car leaves the lot it has to be examined before you can get the warranty."..ALL LIES!!! Service department horrible. I'm done bring her car there for services they never know why it's in when car is dropped off. First two times made schedule service was never in system. This time my poor mother got robbed. Had it scheduled for inspection, oil change total charges $229.00. She got charged 33 for light bulb change, 40 dollars for cabin filter change just in labor alone. Mind you bulb was bought thinking maybe they would do it out of kindness. Guess not! My better half and I had what started out to be an "okay experience", we were able to take a car for a test drive without a salesman which we thought was low pressure, then we got back to the dealership...pressured into a more expensive car, then when we asked for money off the car, they stretched out the payments, making the monthly payment lower, but not actually taking anything off the car, like we wouldn't notice. We left because we wanted to look online again, found the perfect car, emailed the salesman Mike who said he would have it up for the weekend warmed up and ready for us to try next day. We asked what time then mike didn't write back. We called his cell no answer. I left him three voice messages asking when we could see the car, which we were getting excited about. We decided to stop in, since no one was getting back to us....there was mike doing his sales pitch with another poor couple. When he saw us, he immediately pretended he didn't see us. We asked for his boss and learned the car we had been waiting for apparently had been sold. Mike couldn't be bothered to call back, and his manager was unapologetic as well...I've learned the car buying experience will generally be unfavorable, but here it was downright awful. read more

To sum it up, all the the bad generalizations that people make about dealership service are found at Prime Subaru. I bought my 2010 Subaru Forester new when it was Subaru of Nashua (before Prime recently took over). While I wasn't terribly impressed with the sales process back when it was Subaru of Nashua, the service department kept me coming back. I had quite a few problems with my Forester transmission (which is a widespread problem) and the service department bent over backwards to make it as easy as possible to get it fixed - they were courteous, helpful with offering free rentals when I had to keep it there for longer than a day, and often waiving the charges to fix these known issues. Both my husband & I own Subaru Foresters and we had similar problems with cars, but similar stellar service back when it was Subaru of Nashua. Pretty much the moment Prime Subaru took over management, it all went in the toilet. I now always feel like I'm being the victim of an upsell service attempt. The star system doesn't do justice to my experience. While Yelp required that I provide a rating, please disregard it and see the below. I recently bought a certified pre-owned 2010 Subaru Forester from Prime Subaru. I'll focus on a handful of key points: QUALITY: The quality of the vehicle was fairly high. I took it to my mechanic, and he said it checked out well given the mileage (60,000). Nonetheless, the mechanic highlighted two issues: the rear rotors had been ground, but needed to be replaced; and the transmission fluid needed to be flushed. More on these two issues below. SERVICE/REPAIRS: I asked my salesman if Prime Subaru would replace the rear rotors and flush the transmission fluid per my mechanic's recommendation, and he said that they would. Moreover, the next day my salesman said that they had done so. Yet, when I asked for written confirmation of the service after I signed the paperwork to purchase the vehicle, the finance manager told me that this service "had not been promised" and thus had not been performed. Such reneging was by far the lowest part of my experience with Prime Subaru. PRICE: The price advertised online was about $2,000 lower than the sticker price, as seems to be industry norm. The salesman and general manager both told me the price advertised online was fixed and, thus, final. Given the quality of the vehicle, I figured the price was fair enough. BUT, in completing the final paperwork, the finance manager added a "vehicle registration fee" of $349. He told me this is standard for all their sales. I've subsequently learned that this "fee" is a common way for dealerships to make more money; waiting until the last step in the sale certainly makes sense for them, as I - and buyers in general - just want to get out the door at that point. I paid this fee, but it left a less than savory taste in my mouth. FINANCING: On the upside, the finance manager got me a very good financing package: 1.74% APR at a local credit union. On the downside, he overstated the monthly price by $10, which I realized only after I ran the numbers at home. I fear that I would've been stuck at the higher price if I hadn't done this due diligence. Also on the downside, when the finance manager offered me an extended warrantee, he discussed only that it was $10 more a month (in reality $20 more), omitting entirely the higher cumulative price. Granted, such an omission isn't uncommon in sales, but it (further) undermined my trust in the transaction. Moreover, this finance manager said I had to decide on the extended warrantee immediately; I learned later that I could've waited at least until the end of the day on which I had purchased the vehicle - and likely longer. Initially, I signed up for an extended basic warrantee, but I canceled it the next day after recognizing it wasn't worthwhile. OVERALL: On the upside, I can report that I'm pleased with the vehicle quality and the financing package that the dealership secured. On the downside, this dealership reneged on its verbal promise to perform a pair of repairs, added a substantial fee to what they said was already the "final" price, overstated my monthly payment, omitted the full magnitude of the cost of an extended warrantee, and pushed me to decide on this warrantee immediately when in reality I had far more time to decide. By the end of the transaction, I was asking for confirmation in writing of all verbal assurances because my trust in the process had pretty much evaporated. Perhaps that's common of all such purchases, but I certainly hope not. In closing, prospective buyers should know they can get a good quality car and a good financing package through Prime Subaru, but they should also take all appropriate measures to cover their bases. read more

I got my first 2014 Legacy here and everything went great in the first few weeks. Then it just gone south from there. Got few complaints and they're somewhat adjusted. Am I happy with it? No! This is my first and last Subaru, at least to this dealer. My biggest disappointment is that, I dropped this car here for service few times and I only once got a Honda CR-V for the loaner. I got an excellent deal on my vehicle with Prime, but customer service is not their forte. I have repeatedly left messages with questions about my vehicle, without any response. When I mentioned this problem to the receptionist this afternoon, she stated that "car dealerships work on a month-to-month basis" and that it is difficult to find people to answer questions/ address customer needs at the end of the month. took my car in for a 90000 mile service (2/6/19). was told my front brake pads needed to be replaced. when I brought in the car to replace the brake pads (2/7/19), I was told I needed the rotors done as well. since my 18 yr old son was taking this car on a 5hr long trip, one way, I told them to make sure that was done at the same time so that he could be safe driving that far. My son called me once he arrived at his destination and told me the brakes were pulsating and the car was pulling to the right - I called Granite Subaru and they said "oh that doesn't seem right, please bring the car back in on Monday or Tuesday and we'll take a look at it. I asked he would be safe driving the 5 hrs home and "she" said yes, he will be fine." I returned today - Monday (2/11/19) - and was told the rotors were only resurfaced, not replaced, and they were shaved too thin and that is why they are now melting and warping and has to be replaced right away as it is not safe driving.... And I would be responsible for the cost of the parts. I told him I should not be responsible for the cost as they should have replaced the rotors knowing they had shaved them down too thin. And should not have put bad/unsafe rotors back on my car knowing my son had to drive 500 miles over the weekend (not sure that is even legal....). thankfully nothing happened... needless to say I will not return, as I do not trust them to take care of my car, and make me feel safe driving. read more

I want to start off by saying the sales department is great and this dealership would have gotten an excellent review but the finance department completely ruined my experience to the point I would never go back or recommend to anyone. I had the privilege of working with Shawn in sales and he was great, got me exactly what I wanted but John the finance guy is a complete snake who only cares about the extended warranty and filling his pockets. I guess that should be expected but it completely caught me off guard. I told him my needs and all he cared about was pushing an extended warranty that was double the price of any other dealerships warranty. Sure part of it is my fault as maybe I didn't do all my research beforehand and shouldn't have signed the paperwork. As soon as I left I realized what happened and tried to straighten it out which was also not an easy task as the finance department never answers their phone. I have been a loyal customer to this dealership since 2005. My first buying experience here happened to be a complete joy and pleasure. I've never thought that people in car sale business could be so helpful and friendly AFTER the sale is done. I was really surprised when we got a call from Subaru of Nashua (it was the name of this place before Prime Group bought them out) and receptionist invited us to come for orientation.I am sure not to many people who purchased vehicles in different dealerships had the same chance to meet a mechanic who is ready to answer ANY question about your new or used car a MONTH LATER after your purchase. At the same time we had a chance to meet the owner , sales and service management who joined this event in purpose to get feedback from real people about their recent experience in all levels of customer service. My husband and I were literally shocked by outstanding service they provided at that time and any time we had to get back for service. On all levels of service including service department their reps were always beyond my best expectations. The fact that we purchased seven Subaru in this place since 2005 should tell you how much we appreciate these people. Unfortunately everything had changed when Prime Subaru took over. It' s so sad to see how quickly a perfect place got ruined by wrong people. I absolutely agree with another reviewer who called them gang of wolves in sheep clothing. The only thing I can ad to this : they don't even wear their masks on managers level. Being a naive and trusting customer I sincerely believed that any issues with service clerks would be corrected by a manager who suppose to be more professional or at least should know something of ethical behavior. I have been an owner of a Subaru Tribeca for 5 years. I love the car . Recently I tried to purchase black paint for my car as I was having my car detailed. I was very disappointed in the service department. It took almost 2 weeks and many calls on my part to find out that the item was backordered. My son actually stopped at Subaru on Wednesday on my behalf and he found out that the item was not available. I am still waiting for Nick to call me back. DO NOT EVER USE GRANITE STATE SUBARU (HUDSON, NH) SERVICE DEPARTMENT. We bought a used car from them less than one year ago and they just quoted us over $6,000 worth of work on this car. This is a car which has had minimal miles put on it in the last 11 months so if in fact this car truthfully needed all this work it was sold this way with attempts to cover up the defects. We got two other professional opinions and we were told by both garages that at least one of these jobs this dealership claims we need done is not needed. Fabricated story by somebody we should have been able to trust since we own three Subarus and one would think they would want to keep our business in house. Number 1) We were able to get half of the work done at an honest garage for more than $1,000.00 less than this Subaru dealership quoted us. Number 2) The job that didn't need to be done was an additional savings for us. Number 3) We will address the other jobs they say we need done at a later date and in fact will follow up whether in fact they are needed or fabricated. The provided pictures they supposedly took of our car is another warning sign for unknowing customers that said pictures most likely are not even your car. Beware and bring your hard earned dollars elsewhere and stay clear of this dishonest outfit which preys on loyal customers. read more

My experience is very similar to some of the other reviews since Prime Subaru took over from Subaru of Nashua. Especially the ones from Jamie B. and Betsy H. On February 8th, 2014, at 118k miles, I had Prime Subaru perform a 30/60/120k service on my 2005 Subaru Forester. I paid about $500 for this part of the service visit. When I was sitting in the waiting area, the service adviser came out an recommended that I replace a transmission filter. I agreed. Though, when I got home and did some research, I learned that I had been charged an extra hour of labor to replace the spin-on transmission filter that is not even considered a normal wear item. I had no problem paying for the part if it really needed to be replaced. Though, given that I was already paying about $500 for the "30000 MILE INTERVAL SERVICE", I felt that I had been cheated by being charged for an additional hour of labor to replace this spin-on transmission filter. I was already paying to have the transmission fluid changed as part of the service, so it wouldn't be much more labor to change the filter. When I complained to the Prime Subaru service department via email, all that I was offered was a free oil change rather than a refund of an extra hour of labor. In early 2015, I had to replace a blown turbo at just under 130k miles. Due to my poor experience at Prime Subaru on 2/8/2014, I had this work done by another repair shop. The cause of the failed turbo was a clogged banjo-bolt/union-screw. This is a very common cause of Subaru turbo failures. I had heard of this issue several years prior and asked Subaru of Nashua (now Prime) about banjo bolt maint. The response was something along the lines that they service what Subaru recommends. Supposedly Subaru doesn't want to admit to this clogged banjo bolt issue killing turbos. Or wants to blame the customer for poor maintenance even when all/most service is done by a Subaru dealer. By the time that I had Subaru of Nashua change the timing belt on 5/20/13 at 106k miles, the banjo bolt issue with causing turbo failures was well known. So, given that they were going to have easier access to the troublesome banjo-bolt when everything was apart to do the timing belt, I don't understand why Subaru of Nashua wouldn't have suggested checking it then. Unless maybe they would rather have people buy a new vehicle rather than keep an old one running... Shortly after having the turbocharger replaced by a trusted independent repair shop, I was starting to have misfires on one side of the engine (mostly cylinder 4 and sometimes 2). When the independent repair shop was troubleshooting, they discovered that Prime Subaru had installed the non-turbo motor spark plugs in my turbo engine during my 2/8/2014 service. I found my invoice for that service and Prime Subaru even had those wrong plugs listed on the invoice. While I may not be able to prove any connection between Prime Subaru having installed the wrong plugs on 2/8/2014, and a blown turbo and burned exhaust values about 12k after they were installed, I don't trust Prime Subaru for maintenance or repair work. I was mostly satisfied with Subaru of Nashua. Except for them not checking/replacing the banjo bolt when I had the timing belt changed (I also had them replace the water pump and pulleys/tensioners while they where in there. So, I'm not a cheapskate when it comes to having maintenance done.). So, after spending just under $3k for the turbocharger replacement, now I have to make a decision as to whether I want to dump $2500 or so into a valve job on a 10 year old car, or dump the car. I liked the Subaru Forester until everything seemed to start failing at once at around $130k, only about 20k miles after spending $1600 for the timing belt replacement, and 12k miles after the 30/60/120k service in which Prime Subaru installed the incorrect spark plugs... Though, I can't recommend Prime Subaru for Subaru service. With all the maintenance/repairs that I had done during the past 20k miles of the Forester's life, I had the expectation of getting 200k miles out of the vehicle. Though, I may now cut my losses... read more

The door gasket on the back driver side door was hanging off so they agreed to fix it. Went to pick up the car and it wasn't fixed. No biggie, went in to ask someone what we could do and I got "I really had nothing to do with this, but you should probably run back to the service department and try to convince them to stay." I SHOULD!!!!! TRY TO CONVINCE THEM!!! I got to the service department to ask what happened and if they could fix it. I am told by the person behind the desk that "we were told the wrong door". If someone tells you something is "falling off" and it's not where they told you it was why I'm Gods name don't you look for it! I ask the guy if I could pull it around and have them fix it and the reply is "well it's Friday and we leave at 5 (it's not 5 yet) so you will have to make an appointment". I could not believe that this was the service we received. It's a door gasket and they failed to fix it in the first place, show some effort! So my wife made the arrangements because I couldn't talk to this person anymore because of how angry I was. She brings the car in and 2.5 hours after her appointment someone walks up and asks if she is waiting for something!!!!! They never checked her in and did not know who the car belonged to. When you mess something up and a second chance is given it should be handled with kid gloves. So I received a survey in which I detailed the experience and within minutes I got a reply from the GM asking what it was he could do to make this right. He offered my wife a remote start and we accepted. She took it in, got it done, brought it home AND IT DIDNT EVEN WORK!! They had to change a bad part out in the parking lot at her job. I emailed to GM again about how his service department needed two try's to get it right again. All apologetic again asks what he can do. I tell him after much talking I decide to give them a shot with my truck. I wanted out of the payments and a little better gas mileage. Got me a car, washed out my truck and everything was fine. Yet again things needed fixing. An appointment is made and my car is brought in. No mention of how long it will take. They called my wife the next day saying they need to keep it another night. When I talked with the service guy, he explained how he was under the impression that the job was going to be done in house but it was instead sent out. This was just for one of the problems. When I finally picked it up a week later I discovered that out of 4 problems only the one that was sent out to get fixed was completed! I alerted them to the problem and demanded that the service manager calls me. He called and tried to convince me to give them a second chance. HA! Second chance! Try 4th chance. Again alerted the GM the service department had not improved at all. He says he will call again. I received no call from him. I decided to let them try again to finish the job they started. It took 4 days and they said they may need to replace my entire headliner. Now I'm stuck because my wife's car has an electrical issue, I purchased an extended warranty and don't know if i can even bring my car anywhere else because I will never bring my car back to this service department. I wish I had my truck back. I wish I never dealt with this dealership. I wish I wasn't paying for a warranty that I can't use. Every time I look at our cars it is just a glaring remainder of this Problem. Makes me sick. read more

I just bought a new Subaru and like the car. Everyone was nice and helpful. My complaint is that my initial email request was for a vehicle priced at about 22K, which was where we wanted to be. When I visited I was presented with one that listed at 26K and ultimately cost 25K. There were several times that I clearly asked to see another model in current inventory that cost a few thousand dollars less. One time I was told "sure" but the vehicle was never presented, and at least one more time I was told that I didn't want that one, that I deserved the one with the moon roof even though it was a feature that meant nothing to me. I felt a bit used and tricked by that, and then flat out ignored. I felt that they were determined to only show me that car they wanted to sell me and none other. Perhaps from a sales perspective that's the way it's done, but as a customer it felt like I wasn't being listened to, and like I was being pressured. We are going to think twice before returning there for our next vehicle - the care is good but the experience was not. read more

I just purchased my 8th Subaru resulting in my first transaction with Prime Subaru. My experience from start to finish was excellent. My new car resulted in a factory order and my sales specialist, Tom Merrifield, was outstanding. Tom always kept me well informed and he did everything he could to facilitate the delivery. I also received a very fair trade-in allowance and there was no haggling on price (which was a first for me). How refreshing! I was very interested in a minivan for my wife that I saw on their website. I called to see about coming in for a test drive and they said it was actually at their Prime Infinity store down in MA over an hour away. I said I was not wanting to dive all the way down there on a chance we were not able to come to an agreement on a deal. They said no problem they can jus have it driven up for me to look at. This sounded good to me so I scheduled a test drive for that Friday. They said they would call when it got there. On Thursday I call and no one at Prime Subaru had any idea what I was talking about. I was told that they would call me back when they figured out what was going on. They never called back. Mean while my wife gets a call from Prime Infinity asking if I want to come down for a test dive.she said she said she thought it was being sent to NH. He said they don't do that unless I was buying it out right without any deals. When I called back to Prime Subaru they said that wasn't true and they would call me back when they figured it out..... I never heard back. I guess they don't want my business. read more

Prime Subaru is not nearly as good as it was when it was Subaru of Nashua and owned by Dan Enzing. I am an owner of 2 Subarus. My 2009 Subaru sustained flood damage and the engine was replaced by the insurance company 16 months ago. I have a valve cover leak and a head gasket leak that they acknowledged in Dec. 2017. I thought then that it should not be leaking being a new engine. I recently brought my Subaru back to Prime for them to fix it, encouraged to do so by another mechanic, and they would not fix it unless I was willing to pay. I believe this should have been covered as part of the installment of the new, used engine. Since the warranty was only good for 6 months, they would not even clean up the oil leak without charging me a fee. I have been a Prime Subaru customer for many years but will no longer be a customer. I felt nickel and dimed and it felt like all they were concerned about was making money, not customer satisfaction, or safety or the health of the car and the work they did. I will be bringing my cars to another business for repairs. I do not recommend this dealership. In addition, they used to give every car a car wash but they have done away with that as well. read more

Stay far away from this dealership! If I could give less than 1 star I would. Every time I have dropped off my subaru to have them look at it for any strange noises from brakes, wheel bearings, tires, whatever it may be, I get a call saying everything seems ok and they couldn't find anything wrong. When I go to pick up my car I drive it 2 minutes down the road and the noise is still there. This has happened at least 3 times in the past year. I also had them install a new clutch recently and when I picked up my car it was making a chirping sound which was concerning to me because it sounded fine when I had dropped it off. I returned the car to them 2 times after that (within the warranty period) to have them get rid of that chirping sound and both times they told me "it is a new clutch and once it wears in the sound will go away". Well last week I brought my car in for the same chirping sound since it has been over 20k miles with the new clutch and it is making the same sound it has been making since the day they installed the new clutch, this time they said "the throwout bearing is bad and it needs to be replaced" (the throwout bearing is part of a clutch replacement which is covered under the warranty). They are scam artists and thieves. They waited till I was outside of the warranty period so that I have to pay for repairs for something they did wrong. Don't go to this subaru dealership. I have other friends that have also had terrible experiences with them. The service manager as well as the general manager are both scum bags that couldn't care less about their customers. All they care about is money. read more

This dealership is honest on their prices. They advertised a very competitive price for the 2014 Subaru Forester Touring with Eyesight. I searched around and found I counld not find a better deal on that level. I doubted they would cheat us, but when I went there they did give us such a price. The sales person, Michael Wright, is a nice and experienced dealer. He helped us get discounted prices on a remote starter and other accessories we wanted to install. He also kindly tought us how to operate the complicated vehicle (voice activated bluetooth, navigation, entertainment system, eyesight, and so on. All stylish things we never encountered). He even refilled us a full tank of gas before we left. That was really a surprised gift. They did not promise to do that. When a part was out of stock, he tried to refund us. When I had questions and called him, he always responded quickly and helped me out. My impression is that this dealership has a large stock of vehicles and well-trained sales persons. The most important thing is that they are honest businessmen who do not play games with customers. read more

Bought a used honda cr-v here about a year and a half ago and it has had problems since a week after i drove it off the lot. From their pushy salespeople to their extremely rude financing team paired with the fact that they literally sold me a piece of garbage, i would NEVER recommend them to anyone looking for an honest price for a working car. I will say that i chose not to purchase their (extremely overpriced) warranty, but the fact that I had problems with it a week after i bought it and the check engine light came on about a month after that i would've expected some better treatment and options from them.. at LEAST some discounted service. Tomorrow i am purchasing a new car even though i still owe over $4,000 on this one because my cr-v failed inspection (no surprise there) and would cost me double what it is worth to fix. I will preface this by saying that I have never gone online to write a review on anything, however my experience at Subaru of Nashua was so incredible, I felt compelled to share. I recently purchased a used Forester from another party and was completely ripped off. When I brought the car in to be looked over days after purchasing it I was informed that my head gaskets were leaking, almost a $2000 repair. Because I purchased the car in NH, there was no lemon law and I could not return the car. It was then that I brought my car to Subaru of Nashua. Steve, who works in the service department worked tirelessly on my behalf with my warranty company, trying every angle to get the head gaskets covered. Though it turned out that we couldn't get them covered, I have never had so much trust in a dealership service department that they were doing everything they could to help me out, instead of gauging me for every cent I have! I ended up having to pay for the head gaskets, and at their recommendation a new timing belt as well (only paid $100 instead of around $500 because they already everything taken apart for the head gasket repair). In addition, they gave me a bit of a discount on the final price, fixed my headlights for free, gave me a brand new Forester as a loaner car while mine was being repaired, and a free car wash! I highly recommend this Subaru dealership, they were so helpful, honest, and diligent in their work, which is so hard to find these days. When you're taken advantage of like I was by the sleazy used-car dealer I bought the Forester from, it's so nice to find a place that actually cares about it's customers, and stand behind their work. read more

To start things off i just want to say I've bought tons of cars at tons of dealerships ranging from little used car dealers on the side of the road, all the way up to the big ultra luxury mercedes and BMW dealers, and my experience at Prime subaru is up there with the best of them. My sales guy Tom M. (Not to be confused with the other tom who works there) could not have been more helpful. The whole sales experience was honest and fair. I did upwards of 40 hours of research before buying my 2015 WRX a premium and Prime Subaru exceeded my expectations of both price and customer service. The sales process was done in a timely fashion, the finance manager was incredibly helpful and knowledgable of the payment options and products/service the dealership offers. If you're looking for a Subaru dealership that will give you exceptional service as well as an honest buying experience, look no further than Prime subaru. read more
