BE SUPER CAREFUL DEALING WITH THESE GUYS. Handed over my keys to have something installed and was told 2 hour wait. Told by parts department that week that it would $350 + labor and a 2 hour service. Look at the invoice, $450 for for the part and slipped in an extra hour of labor. Tried gouging me for an extra $350 i wouldn't have noticed if i didn't look at the invoice before hand. read more

Dishonest and disappointing experience with the service department. I scheduled a CarPlay upgrade over the phone and was quoted a clear, "out-the-door" price. When I arrived, they claimed the service cost $30 more and insisted I'd booked online (I hadn't). After I gave them the date and time of my call, they said they'd "honor" the quote but needed to review the recording to find out who supposedly gave me the "wrong" price. The appointment, quoted at 90-120 minutes, took nearly four hours. When I finally got the bill, they'd added a $30 "shop supplies" fee -- the same amount they'd tried to tack on earlier. When I reminded them my quote was out the door, they said every invoice includes that mandatory charge. Whether that's incompetence or dishonesty, it's unacceptable. They honored the price in words, then clawed it back in fees. I won't be returning. read more

I really wish I would have taken the poor reviews of Tulley Mazda more seriously; even the ones that were updated to give more stars or even 5 due to poor experiences being pacified by management. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone; the only reason I had gone is because they had the make and model of a vehicle I was looking for. I know this is long, but I am incredibly upset that I have to buy 4 new tires right before Christmas because the brand they put on my car are nowhere online to be ordered/found and I can't just buy one singular tire a different brand/type. I purchased a used car from here and it was a multi-day, multi-hassle process.They were unwilling to let me work a loan out with my credit union and were adamant about their own financing. When I bought the car, they failed to give me the certificate for title application and I couldn't register my car. They also forgot to have me sign part of their contract and asked me to come back for that. Disorganized for sure. There were issues with my windshield and the manager Tom made it right. He was pleasant to deal with. I had sent a response to Tulley last week regarding their declination of replacing my defective tire and have not heard anything back. I haven't heard anything about the paint, either. I don't have a brand-new Mazda that I am leasing or financing, so Tulley doesn't care. Purchased a 2021 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring here last summer and that was a good experience but all my experience with the service department has been horrendous. Not even a month after I purchased the car, my boyfriend and I noticed RUST stains on the back of the car under where the temporary license plates were. We brought the car back and the sales people who were so eager to help us buy the car wanted nothing to do with us so sent us straight to the service department who literally handed me a special sponge and told me to buff it out myself! Today I went in because my Mazda app notified me that there was a "dynamic stability control" issue and the volume knob in my center console had weirdly just popped off recently and wouldn't go back on. The service associate was not only not nice but a bit rude/. He explained that it would cost me $150. for them to even look at the car and that the service crew would be taking their lunch in a few min (WHY WOULD YOU ALLOW ME TO BRING THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE IF IT'S A BAD TIME??). They informed me that it would be $150. no matter what and that that cost would be covered if the stability issue was a manufacturer's defect but not if it was due to a rodent biting through a wire or some other reason. So I was basically taking a $150. gamble...no thanks. The cherry on top was when the service associate handed me my keys back and informed me that if my volume button came off again (he insinuated that I had taken it off myself which I did not) that it would be "$150." If you feel like randomly throwing $150. out the window, swing by. Unreal. UPDATE: The volume button was GLUED back on- NOT what they were supposed to do. It is now stuck and not working. He promised to walk me to parts to buy our crossbars (he forgot to add them like I asked). Instead he pointed to where parts were in the parking lot. Last straw was a scratch on the wheel well piece. When I got there, the manager/sales exec they paired me with was already working with 3 other people. So I sat waiting for about an hour total while my salesperson scrambled around. After checking in with their manager, an appraisal offer 6k under kbb and 4.5k under on own website appraisal was given. To which they tried to tell me curb rashes on the rims were the reason for this. I know dealers will low ball on offers but this was insulting. My son purchased his first "real car" at Tulley Mazda. The lack of customer service was appalling! They said his car would be ready at the end of the week. They didn't even have the title! It took 3 weeks before we could pick up the car. And this was a problem because his car failed inspection and it was not worth repairing. I asked for a list of what the extended warranty covered, they said they would call me and tell me. I asked for a document. They said one did not exist. Huh? I finally got a document but given the poor customer service, I would NEVER purchase anything from them. After we signed the paperwork, the finance guy was useless. He would not return a phone call or text or email! They said they would repair 2 scratches on my son's car. They ended up sending him a small bottle of paint after 4 weeks. That is NOT what they promised! Overall communication was terrible. One guy, Don, did step up when all others failed. I went to a dealership because I thought buying a car from them would be a better experience than going to some shady place that only had 10 cars on the lot. I was 100% wrong! I need to buy a new GMC truck and would have considered them, but given the absolute WORST "customer service" I ever imagined, I wouldn't buy a bottle of water from these guys! Unfortunately our whole experience at Tully was not fantastic! It started off very pleasant with our sales person, Derrick who was personable and thorough all the way through our test drive. When it came time to talk financing, it went downhill. If you don't go through them for financing, then you can't buy a car there. Against my better judgment, I went back because this was about my son who was buying a car and not me. He had been preapproved through our bank and had a good amount of cash to put down. All we needed was the purchase and sales and we would be back within the hour with a check. Their answer was no, they wont take a check from DCU, as they don't work with them. I was told in the past they had issues with them concerning the title. My guess is they took too long sending the info to the state for the title which made things harder for DCU. You pay for them to do that paperwork for you, it shouldn't take three months. The other problem is, when you have financing from somewhere else, they don't make any money off of you. Hence their policy to only give you the option to finance through them. I did get upset with the person in finance, and for that I am sorry because that is not my usual character. For the life of me, I just can't understand why anyone's money isn't good enough for them. Maybe they are just getting too big for their britches as a business. In the end my son found an amazing car at another dealership (Autofair) who were fantastic to work with and were fine with our banks money! read more

Here's a fine example how dishonest car dealerships are. Went there to ask home much to get a copy of my car key (with chip). "Oh well, the blank key itself is $89.99, but then it takes 1 hours @ $118 / hr for the technician to program it, and run some diagnostics."... Pfffft.... What a pile of horsesh_t..... I went to a local locksmith. It took literally less than 5 minutes. $75 TOTAL, including the blank.... Almost three times less expensive than Tulley Mazda. Bought a 2022 CX30 end of November. The car has been back 3x in 6mths. This last time the car was there for a month. I picked the car up last night. Went to the Sales department because I don't really feel safe in this car any longer (I'm a commuter with an hour to work and back) and I wanted to know what Tulley would do to help make this right. I should feel safe driving in a new vehicle and the car is only 6 mths old. After an hour and 4 different sales & finance people they told me I should keep the car I have. They made me feel like I was the one in the wrong for wanting a SAFE vehicle to drive and didn't want to deal with me unless I was willing to pay way more ($100.00) for a car payment. Bought a 3 back in 2010 and had a good experience, so we decided to go back. We bought a new CX-5. The car was late getting in so we wound up having to bring it back to get it inspected and have the gas tank filled and the Simonize treatment done. My wife brought the car back and they returned it with a scratch by the gas tank! UNACCEPTABLE! Tulley should have pushed the pickup out a day so we wouldn't need to go back. I have no doubt if they'd done those things before we picked the car up there wouldn't be a scratch on our brand new car! UPDATE Tulley ultimately made this right, but they put the Simonize coat over an obvious scratch that should have been addressed before that was done. Service was fine and okay, the process of buying my car was drawn out but overall not bad. The issues came after I purchased the car, when my window started having issues, windshield wipers immediately needed to be replaced, and then not even three months after buying the car the serpentine belt broke. They should not have sold this car in this condition without discussing any of its issues. Edit: turns out the belt broke because of water pump failure, which isn't supposed to have any issues until 100,000 miles. This car only has 70,000 and wouldn't have broken without improper care, which has not happened while I have owned it. read more

I came in as a serious first-time car buyer and told the team here that I wanted the best deal possible on a new CX-3, and they did NOT disappoint. Every salesman they had on the floor was kind, knowledgeable, and never pressured me to buy (Jeff helped me directly and was super helpful every step of the way). I went in not sure if they'd be able to offer me the CX-3 at the price I wanted to pay, but they were more than willing to work the numbers with me to make sure I left happy. Very impressed with my overall experience here in comparison to some nightmare dealerships and sleezy salesmen I'd spoken with in recent past - it was incredibly refreshing. Bottom line: No BS. Worst service I've ever experienced. I test drove a preowned vehicle yesterday and came in today to buy. My appointment was for 4:30 with Derek Horgan and I wasn't seen until over an hour later. Once I was finally being helped, I was told someone else was test driving the car. Derek left and kept us waiting another 10-15 minutes only to come back and tell us the new person that came in is buying it and it was off the table. I couldn't even see the pricing breakdown because I was kept waiting so long. I expressed to the Derek that I was looking at the car first and could have purchased it if I hadn't been waiting so long. He just shrugged and said nothing more. Didn't even apologize or offer to help on another vehicle. I've never been treated so poorly at a dealership and would never recommend buying from them. Waste of time. read more

I have taken my CX5 to Tulley Mazda for service since I purchased the car there new 5 years ago. Chris Clarkson had always been my service agent and he was top notch. Since he has left the service has been sub par. I have taken my car in to have a rattling noise diagnosed twice without success. They claim they can't reproduce the noise as I continue to hear it grow louder and louder. My brakes recently began to squeak. I took it in and they told me that my front brake pads needed to be replaced so I agreed to do so. The squeaking persisted so I immediately took the car back. They tell me that they checked everything out and there are no issues. I may be a female but I know this is not normal. All the fancy videos that they provide now of your service inspection seem to be a facade for poor service and I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere. read more

Purchased a new CX-5 AWD here. was quoted a price over the internet (eprice). I went to the dealership and was greeted, the sales manager remembered me and the offer. I knew the offer was still too high and close to MSRP. I knew they were going to have to step up and give me more for my trade (2013 Ford Focus SE, excellent cond. 34K miles, 5 speed manual). I started talking to the sales guy, told him what I wanted color wise, trim package...ect. He acted like he didn't think he had the vehicle on the lot (He knows EXACTLY what is on the Mazda lot). He asked me if I have a trade (obviously, I got to the dealership somehow). I told him to not worry about a trade I just wanted to look at the CX-5...if he could find it. He agrees and we take another CX-5 to "see if it's on the lot". We get to the one I'm interested in and asks me If I want to test drive it. I decline as it's a brand new 2017 and should drive just fine, and I drove the other CX-5 to find the one I wanted. We head back to the dealership. Again, I'm asked about the trade. I say okay and give him the keys to "evaluate it". He comes back with a low offer, not a lowball offer but a lower number than needed for the term and payment. He asked me how much I want to pay each month. I tell him I care about the term of the loan. He says okay, so I ask what the payment would be for the term I wanted (48 mos). Of course he has to now go talk to his sales manager. The sales manager comes in and says they could do it for x dollars a month for the term I wanted. I say too high and he leaves. The F&I guy now comes in and asks if I can extend the term of the loan a few months and I say no. He then asks If I can come up with $500 cash, I again say no. At this point all three salesman are in the office asking what they can do to earn my business. I tell them that because of the close to MSRP price they want for their CX-5 they were going to have to give me more for the trade. I alo tell them at this point I am just considering keeping my Focus, as it's paid off and only has 34K miles on it. All three leave the office. The original salesman comes back in and say they can do it for what I wanted. I agree to that and go to the F&I office to sign the doc fees. I negotiate to only pay half the doc fees (I see this as fair, as doc fees are pure padding for the dealership). I sign the papers and wait for the CX-5 to be ready. When the CX-5 was ready, the salesman got in with me and went over All the vehicle's features. Summary: All in all this wasn't a terrible buying experience. It had some of the typical sales overtones of most other dealerships. The total transaction time from walk in to drive away was about 3.5 hours. Still too long in my opinion. I did my homework, knew what my trade was worth and knew what their invoice was. They have to make a profit to stay in business, I realize that, but I wasn't going to get screwed either. Would I buy another Mazda from Tulley again? I probably would depending on the situation and deal. I've bought many new cars before and I've had much worse experiences doing so elsewhere. AVOID THIS DEALER... They damaged my car... They lied to me... they insulted me... and their sales manager ignored my phone calls... I purchased a 2017 CPO Mazda CX-5 from Tully this past June. The dealer took a month to obtain the plates for my car and during that time my car was damaged, before I took receipt. Their staff was quick to buff out the scuff marks but they would do nothing for the paint damage on the bumper and side mirror. When I asked them about repairing the paint they told me that I was misremembering and that this damage existed when I purchased the car. They also went further to lie to me by saying other customer's had noticed the scratches at least a few days before I purchased the car, despite previously telling me the car just got on their lot the day they sold it to me. I have written copies of both statements from the dealer and a copy of the CPO inspection indicating NO DAMAGE to the car's exterior. read more

Update: Tulley service did not fully perform the service for 50,000 mile maintenance which I ordered online. They neglected to change the cabin air filter. Tulley claimed I did not order the cabin air filter. When I showed them the confirmation email that showed I ordered the 50,000 mile maintenance, and that the maintenance includes a cabin air filter (listed from their own website!), they had no response. Original 5-star review: The car purchase process at Tulley was absolutely painless -- something that can't be said for many car dealerships. If you're interested in a Mazda, find a different dealership. We bought a used 2018 Mazda 3 on July 20, 2021 and paid for it in full the next day. They told us there was a slight snafu with the title, but that they would have it in a few days, ten at the max. Yeah, that didn't happen. It took five weeks for them to track it down, at which point the registration process got held up because the insurance sticker had expired. Never once did our sales agent initiate communication to let us know what was happening. We were finally able to pick up the car on August 31. They didn't bother to mention that they had disconnected the battery to install a remote starter (our consolation prize for the 7 week delay), and that we would need to drive it for 150 miles or it wouldn't pass the emissions test. So the car failed MA inspection. Since both keys had nearly dead batteries, the car sometimes started and sometimes didn't, making it hard to figure out what was up with the car battery, necessitating another trip to Nashua. I wrote to the general manager and to the sales manager--they encourage people to email them on the corporate web page--but neither responded. Huge corporate operation with tons of people working there. Just none that have any interest in helping you acquire the car that you paid for and insured for two months without being able to drive. Oh yeah, the clock doesn't work. It stops whenever the car isn't running. read more

My partner and I came in this afternoon to look at options. I had a purchased (financed) 2016 CX-5 I was looking to turn in and get into a lease on a 2019. When we walked in we were warmly greeted by Carissa Collins, who brought us over to her desk and listened to what I was in search of and why I wanted to switch from a purchase to a lease. I explained the few features that were non-negotiable for me, gave her my finance payoff, and a figure I wouldn't go above for a monthly payment. She swiftly brought up a variety of options and wasn't thrown when my partner asked to see the figures for the base model to see if the extras made sense financially. She was so kind, never once made a "hard sell" and really listened to everything that was important to me. Also, usually if I show up to a dealership with a man, every question and comment is directed at him despite it being my sole purchase, and she navigated both our questions with ease while clearly understanding I was the client. She prepped specs for three trim models for us and we were pleasantly surprised to find that I could actually go up a trim level to get all the features I wanted while staying within $30 of my current monthly payment. She got us a car to test drive and let us do it alone, which I SO appreciate. When we got back, I'd decided I wanted that trim level but in a different interrupt/exterior color and she found one easily. She started getting the crew on the car detailing while she worked with me and with finance to get all the paperwork secured. Within 3.5 hours I had walked in with one car and left with another. Carissa made this the best car-buying experience I've ever had in my 15+ years of car ownership and I hope her managers know how valued she is by her customers. Potential Customers Beware! I took my 2015 CX5 to the Tulley Mazda dealership for service and was told based upon the amount of carbon built up on the spark plugs they appeared to original to the vehicle and needed to be replaced. I authorized the work and paid the bill. Shortly thereafter the issue that original motivated me to have the service returned. This time I took the CX5 to a competing Mazda dealership and was told due to the amount of carbon on the plugs it appeared they were original to the vehicle and needed to be replaced. I had the work perform and the vehicle runs fine. I then went back to Tulley TWICE, with written documentation in hand from the other dealer and was told they could not (wouldn't) reimburse me first because of a Corporate structural reason and secondly they took the word of their technician over the written detail of the second dealership. The Service Manager gave me every excuse why this was not his or the dealerships problem and kept faulting the second dealership for not following corporate "policy" as to the warrantee on the supposed "new" plugs. I'm sure there will be a response from Tulley on this review however trust me, this is a very dishonest an unethical business. There are plenty of other local Mazda dealerships to purchase vehicles from and have service performed by so you should take my experience dealing with this dishonest dealership and protect yourself from the same type of situation. Do yourself right now an in the future by remembering my experience and take you business to a dealership you can trust. I know first hand Tulley is not that company. read more

I am never purchasing another vehicle from Tulley Mazda. I have never had a brand new tire blow out on me on a brand new car that I have owned for less than a month. Awful service department. Scheduled a recall appointment online it went smooth I requested a courtesy car as well. I went in to drop my car off and they told me they just gave away the last courtesy car when I had a confirmed email saying I would get one. They did nothing to rectify the situation told me people usually call to re confirm. Why would I need to call I have it in writing on an email. I left waste of time no attempt to rectify the situation. read more
