A classic Legoland favorite of mine that, in my opinion, has kept its signature delicious taste over the years. It is light and airy, while also a bit sugary and cinnamon sweet/granny apple sour. The workers here are delightful and friendly. There's some outdoor seating, but not a lot of seats since it's a quick snack type food. Tried the Granny Apple Fries at Legoland for the first time and honestly had never even heard of these before. They are basically a healthier twist on deep fried cinnamon sticks, except made with apples. The apples tasted fresh and were nicely cooked, soft on the inside with a light crisp on the outside. That said, I realized I am just not really an apple guy, so they did not totally hit the spot for me. Still, it is a really interesting idea, they definitely sound tasty, and I might even order them again on a future visit just for the novelty of it. Service was friendly, although the line was a little long at first until they opened a second window. There are a few tables to the right where you can sit and eat, but these are also great as a snack on the go since you can eat them just like regular fries. read more

They have seating outside of this stand with umbrella coverings for shade. There weren't many food vendors open on the day that I came so I was happy to see that this stand was open. It was unique and memorable. The packaging was fun with the little pocket for the whipped cream. I liked that the flavor wasn't overly cinnamony. The bad: It was $15 for some apples fries and a soft serve. The interesting: It'd be a better mix to have fries with a side of soft serve rather than the whipped cream. Granny's Apple Fries are truly a unique item that I haven't seen anywhere else. The sliced apples have the skin removed and they are lightly coated and fried. Surprisingly they are not overly sweet and have a nice apple taste. They are good with the vanilla cream that comes standard. If you are visiting when they offer a seasonal item, they can be really tasty, but pricey. Even my son who is not a huge apple fan and hates cinnamon absolutely loves the apple fries. I had several people say that if going to Legoland, this was THE treat to get. Way better than churros, ice cream or anything else. Delicious fry shaped slivers of apples dipped in batter, fried to a crisp, topped with cinnamon sugar and whipped cream. Apple pie in the shape of crispy bite sized fried goodness. Maybe the item was overhyped. Don't get me wrong--they were pretty good. But the batter didn't really encase the apple, and overall, it was a bit too sweet for my taste. For over $6.00 for a serving, I was hoping for more. The apples were hot and fresh, with a crispy crumble (not fully covered in a batter), and the whipped cream was enough for the fries given. We purchased two orders for our family of four and had about half of an order left over. If you love apples, and are looking for a sweet and tart treat that has something more than sugar in it, then this is probably worth a try. It didn't "WOW" me, but it was far from unpleasant. They use Granny Smith apples and offset the sour taste with cinnamon and sugar dusting and optional free whip cream to dip. The size is nice and shareable for our family of four and provided a nice snack without making us feel bad after. It's a unique offering at Legoland compared to the typical burgers, chicken tenders, hotdogs, etc.. you can get at other theme parks. Conveniently, it's right next to the huge wood playground with plenty of places to sit. It is a known destination so sometimes the lines are very long but can move fast. Oddly, sometimes it's strangely deserted and you can go right up to the front. If the line is short this is also a place you can ask for free ice, very useful on hot days like today. read more

It had been awhile since I've had these that I couldn't recall how they were. This time around I get to try them again but with the help of my grandkids. They come in a small French fry looking container with a little compartment at the top for the vanilla flavored cream. The Apple fries are small in size, not long like some regular fries. They are coated with cinnamon sugar to sweeten the tartness of the granny apples. And to add to the sweetness, top it off with a dip in the vanilla cream! My 1 1/2 yr old granddaughter liked the apple fries with the cream, as my 4 1/2 yr old grandson said it was too sour (but he enjoys sour candy). As for their mom, she liked it. Me, I loved them! Wish they had a larger serving size! I also a bag of Green Apple popcorn. The color of the popcorn got my attention and had to try it. I thought it was good. Would be better with some caramel coating on there. For me it was worth trying. I would love to see another stand at the entrance so I can get a fresh order on the way out. If I got one where it is located now, toward the rear of the park, I would be finished 50 feet after my purchase! And it would be best to enjoy these freshly made. From research this is a must when visiting Legoland. This stand is located toward the back part of the park. I decided to grab an order as we were walking towards the churro stand. An order which is similar to a medium McDonalds French Fries order is $6+. If you're a Granny Smith Apple fan then you would to totally love this treat. I thought it was good - tart and sweet. Loved how fresh it was since it came directly from the fryer. After about a handful of bites, I was over it and gave the rest to my party. The pieces that I got were kinda small. There is a little compartment that they put whipped cream in and my daughter thought it was ice cream so she licked the entire thing. This is a little food stand within Legoland. I don't know how they do it but the apple fries look exactly like real fries. They obviously don't taste like real fries but, I assure you, they are highly addictive. And I don't have a sweet tooth whatsoever.
