Went here with out of towners and they were amazed by the flavors and we finished the entire box in 20 mins. The service was super quick, went here on a weekday late morning. At 0807 on 15 March I went to Grannies donuts to get my kids a weekend breakfast treat. The lady working behind the counter put a plastic glove on, and then began hacking into her sleeve and hand in controllably. Obviously she's sick, but didn't bother staying at home today. Overall a good donut shop, friendly staff with a cute little interior. Had a bunch of varieties, but we went later in the morning around 11:00am. They were out of many donuts as expected at this time on a Saturday so we had very limited options. Quality was your typical donut. I wouldn't say they were the best we've ever had, but decent enough. A little bit dense and dry, when typically we go for light, fluffy and moist. I came in pretty early early on a Friday morning. The selection was good. The donuts were fresh. I got a dozen of the fancy's. A little pricey but what isn't. I think I paid a little over 23.00 for the dozen. We had them for a few days. They stayed fresh so that was a bonus. The fritters are fantastic and my husband loves a lemon filled donut. Upon walking in I immediately saw the humongous rolls and knew I had to get one. It was flaky and the perfect amount of sweetness to eat on the road, plus no mess like a typical cinnamon roll! The donuts for me are average- nothing unique or special. The staff is friendly. I believe they split tips with all employees. Owner included for all Shifts. Not a big fan of this. I recently stopped by Granny's Donuts and Bakery looking for an afternoon treat. I ordered the assorted donut holes and they made for the perfect afternoon pick me up. They had a pretty big selection of donuts and other sweets. Also everything was fairly inexpensive in my opinion, so that was a plus. I really liked all the donut holes. I went into this store at 11:45am on Friday 12/19/25 and asked for glazed doughnuts. I was told that they ran out of glazed doughnuts at 7:45 that morning and would not have any more until the next morning. I was shocked that a doughnut shop was out of doughnuts and could not make more that day. This store is a joke!! I would not recommend this store to anyone who expects good professional service. I was in the area, and just happen to see this small shop in the parking lot. You can never go wrong with grabbing a donut until further feeding notice. There's quiet a variety from, not only flavors, but types of pastries as well. I gotten 1/2 dozen lemon filled donut holes, 1/2 raspberry filled, and a Wildberry smoothie.The donut holes and smoothie was good, yet very average. Yum, delicious sweet donuts for the sugar addict. I was craving donuts on my birthday and came upon Granny's donut shop. It is a small shop with large display cases. The first display case facing the front of the shop was nearly empty. I was about to be disappointed until I saw the next display case filled with donuts. My eyes were immediately drawn to the sprinkled donuts. We decided to purchase a half dozen donuts and I chose the strawberry and chocolate sprinkled donuts. The donuts were the ideal texture and covered with sweet frosting and lots of sprinkles. The donuts are large and satisfying. Plus the employees are patient and friendly. I absolutely love donuts and always get excited when I see a gourmet donut shop or local business. While none of the donuts were bad they weren't out of this world. The vanilla and strawberry donut was delicious but tasted very similar to Dunkin' Donuts. Their red velvet and chocolate glazed donut were good but not great just a little dry for my taste. Came here for some study treats and I was not disappointed! These donuts are on the cakey side and are very good overall! I got an assorted half dozen and after eating them I all I was quite happy! The shop is very cute and I really like that the donuts are on the cheaper side especially for how good they were. The staff member in the store was kind too. I wish I would've tasted their coffee, but I think overall their donuts were very solid but after having several donuts I think these a little more of something to bring them "over the top". If we could give this place a zero, we certainly would. Twisted glazed were raw, not cooked properly. Chocolate Bismarks had hardly any custard inside. I mentioned one, Kernol's Donuts, south of Winston Salem, a couple of weeks ago and their outstanding product. Another one is Granny's Donuts. There are 4 in the Triad and only one is open on Sunday--Oak Ridge. The young lady behind the counter was cheerful and helpful as she explained their options and pricing. She also explained that everything is made fresh daily in-house. It certainly seemed like it, for the donuts looked beautiful and the smell was fabulous. I ordered a mixed dozen. I had a glazed, a chocolate iced, and a maple iced. Simply put, they are delicious. They are soft, fluffy, and have an outstanding texture as well. I am not a chocolate expert, but my daughter also had a chocolate iced and proclaimed their excellence. So can little Davids like Kernol's and Granny's slay the Goliaths? First time coming in, and it did not disappoint! I had a Granny's Special with an iced caramel macchiato, a strawberry frosted sprinkled donut, and a strawberry filled donut. I also added on a blueberry fritter. Everything was delicious (and super cheap too!!). Service was exceptional and the woman working there was super patient and helped me navigate their seemingly endless collection of donuts. Just visited for the first time. Didn't know it was only 10 mins from my house! I was hoping for a raspberry filled donut because Krispy Kreme no longer sells them. Well long story short it was around 6pm when I went so a lot of them were sold out. I did get the lemon filled bites and some old fashioned crullers. SOOOO GOOD! This store is a bit hidden, it's in a row of strip shops behind a gas station which pretty much blocks it's view from Hwy68. I went here today because I had heard about how great their donuts were. I do have to admit they were quite tasty! This place is right down the road from my church, so I stopped by to try one! The shop is relatively small and located on HWY 68 right behind the quality mart gas station. The place smelled like fresh donuts were being made the moment I walked in, and they had an assortment of donuts to choose from including donut holes. I came here because I was told to try the fritters that Granny's offers. Apparently they were huge and they did NOT disappoint! They were at least as big as a country crock butter kid in diameter and was simply delicious! I think they have cherry, blueberry, and apple fritters. I opted for the blueberry which was fresh, and loaded with blueberries and icing! It was extremely tasty and was sweet enough that I didn't want anything else sweet for the rest of the day lol. One fritter is $1.33 including tax, but it's worth it! The size of them are nice and they are very very good! Stop by here when you get a chance as you will thank me later! Trust me. read more

Yes, the donut was okay. The service unfortunately was extremely slow. Didn't look like she knew what she was doing. When she rang us up she asked how many donut holes we had in the bag. Are you kidding me you count them out yourself and you don't know how many you count out ‍ my mom had to open the bag and count the donut holes herself to tell the lady how many we had seriously. When she gave us our coffee, coffee cups were sticky and she didn't have the common sense to wipe the cups down after she spilled them everywhere. So, before we left the lovely Grandma's coffee shop I wipe are coffee cups down. We didn't have a wonderful time at the shop at all read more
