I did not shop in the store; however it is absolutely adorable and smells delicious, but special ordered cookies for a baby shower. Her online ordering and quick response was spot on! We exchanged a few emails to iron out the details and decided upon these beauties I have in the photos!! They were delicious and i received so many compliments on the taste as well. I've been going to Meg's since the pandemic and always pleased with the cupcakes and service . A week ago I found myself having guests for dinner and needed a dessert . I called at the last minute for a pound cake to serve with peaches . They were able to accommodate my last minute request and the cake was perfect. I had never had the pound cake so took a chance and was glad. The price was reasonable and great service! Glad to support this local business. read more

If you have a sweet tooth, this place will do the job. Very inviting and friendly upon walking into the shop. There are two small sitting chairs but this is not a place for you to sit down and enjoy your treats. They have a menu that appears to change with what flavors they bake that day. I had the vanilla almond cake and my little one had the vanilla cupcake. The cake was very moist and soft. I'm not really a frosting girl so I took about half of the frosting off but the cake was really good. My little one enjoyed the vanilla cupcake, took all the frosting off too lol. Their cakes are fresh, delightful to look at and I believe are even better than Maxie B's. They don't have that "hurt your teeth" crunch of sugar, yet they live up to their sweet namesake. We bought cupcakes for our Christmas party and they were dry. I would have done better at Fresh Mart or Whole Foods . I noticed this place on my visit to New Garden Bagels a while back but it was closed then . So today on my visit to the bagel shop I also stopped by this place which is right beside. Such a Cute little place . Decor was Beautiful . There wasnt a lot of cake selection but they did have the basic varieties like Carrot , Pumpkin, Red Velvet, Mint chocolate & Vanilla cakes . They do have quite a selection of Cupcakes and cookies though. We got a slice of Carrot cake and Pumpkin cake . Pumpkin cake wasnt overly sweet and texture was Perfect . Carrot Cake was a bit sweet to me but my husband loved it . Both cakes had the same Cream cheese frosting . Prices are comparitively Low to other desert places around . Great little place to pick you up a sweet treat. They have a few different varieties of cakes to purchase by the slice, a few varieties of cupcakes and fresh baked cookies along with a number of other baked goods on display. They have some neat little seating arrangements if you want to kick back and have your cake there. Hey, hey! Not so bad. I popped in on a whim because I was craving sugar. The establishment was very clean and nicely decorated. I was greeted promptly and I asked, "what is good?" The young lady gave me several suggestions and I ended up getting a chocolate chip cookie, a magic bar, and a oatmeal stuffed cookie. The chocolate chunk cookie was very good. The outer bit had a little crunch to it and the middle was nice and soft with HUGE chucks of chocolate; pretty tasty. The magic bar was by far the best I had had in a long time. This is a very nice bakery that specializes in cakes and cupcakes. I would say that it is one of the better places in town to find cupcakes, since they have quite an assortment ranging from Kahlua and vanilla. The prices for each is also reasonable as well, as they cost about $2.50 each. Everything they make is well made and delicious. I can tell that the owners are passionate about what they are doing. For the most part the service is very good, however sometimes the staff mixes items up. For instance, I once ordered a Kahlua cupcake and instead received a chocolate one. Another time I came in, I received the wrong amount of change as well. However overall, this is a great location, and I highly recommend visiting for most of your cake needs! read more

We had a great first visit to Sweet Meg's! Not only is there a great selection to choose from, the people here are so kind and helpful. We grabbed a slice of honeybun cake and a cookie dough cupcake. The honey bun cake was really fresh and delicious. The cake part was light and fluffy like a honey bun. The cookie dough cupcake was sweet and tasty. Came here twice. I saw the cheesecake bars and really wanted to try them. None of the two times did they have them. They actually did not have anything In that case on the very right when you enter. Nor did they have the pecan or the honey bun cakes I saw on their website/on the pictures. I got a Reese's cupcake. It was inexpensive: about $2.50. Everything I've tried is insanely good, but in the fall, try the Sweet Potato Cupcakes. I'm not a huge sweet potato fan, but these things are amazing. Fantastic cupcakes that truly have a that desired homemade taste. None of the overly greasy frosting found in most of the new cupcake shops. The cake is just right - just a bit moist and very flavorful and the icing is perfect - not too sweet and always fresh. The flavors make it difficult to choose: bananas foster, Nutella (frosting), chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting, "honey bun" (spice cake with cinnamon and walnut), pound cake, strawberry shortcake, red velvet.... Sweet Meg's cookie was as big as the palm of my hand! Holy Mother of Cookie Heaven!! My son wanted a chocolate chip cookie "sandwich" (two cookies with cream in the middle), but the store was out. But no worries!! The sweet gentleman that helped me asked a very nice young lady (who I assumed was their baker) if she would be able to run take two cookies and pipe them full of some butter cream filling and she was quick to say very kindly, "Oh Sure, No problem!!" Seriously, everything in the store was just beautiful! Not only was the decor lovely and remarkably clean but all of the cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes and cheesecakes were "picture perfect" and smelled delicious! The staff was extremely helpful, cheerful and appeared to me as genuinely kind, caring people who presented to me as eager to please and truly happy I was there. Prices were reasonable in my opinion and from what I saw personally during this visit, Sweet Meg's Bakery has the most talented cake decorator I've ever seen. Their cakes look like something I've only seen on the TV show "Cake Boss"!!!! Amazing talent here! I will start ordering all of my family's birthday cakes from Sweet Meg's Bakery. They totally blew me away on my very first visit. I just wish their store was closer to where I live, but it's likely a good thing it's not.... or else I'd probably be as big as a house before long! I have to say this is a very cute bakery with amazing staff too. They have a wide selection of cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other desserts to choose from. So far I have had the chocolate cookie which was really good and their red velvet cupcake. The red velvet cupcake was a disappointment to me because it was very very small for the price and there was nothing spectacular about the cupcake. The red velvet was your typical red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. The cake itself was not too oily and not too dry, it was actually quite moist. So while the red velvet cupcake alone won't bring me back the reasonably priced cookies will! read more

I first had Sweet Meg's cupcakes at work last week when a coworker brought a box in. Wow! This place has perfected frosting and then some. None of that whipped or greasy stuff here.
