Very good taste, fresh, and properly fried. They are an excellent alternative to the national chains, but they are just behind Kernol's and Granny's. I would also add that the two times I went, the donutrista was less than enthusiastic. She was young, and I'm sure she would have rather been anywhere else but serving donuts at 7:30 on a Sunday morning, but that mustn't show. They will even fill-to-order (jelly, custard, lemon, or cream) their long donuts. Everything was billed as made fresh daily and looked the part. I picked up a large caffe mocha, a custard-filled maple glazed stick, a jelly-filled glazed stick, and an apple fritter for under $10 to share, and there wasn't a bad decision in the bunch. The apple fritter especially was one of the best that I've had in quite some time. Ok guys, so I take my donuts seriously. After having mad cravings for donuts all week, I came in on a Saturday afternoon around 6pm. Usually donut places are close to being sold out by this hour and of course I don't expect them to go make more this late in the afternoon. They actually had a decent selection. Although they had lots of flavors, nothing excited me. I was hoping to see creative things like donuts with Oreos, s'mores, maybe cereal... they were just very boring. Anyways, I picked a dozen donuts and a bag of donut holes and ended up spending around $13, which I think is a fair price. However, the donuts themselves. They just did not taste fresh. Granted, these donuts probably don't have any preservatives, if they were made that morning like they said they were, they should have still been soft and fresh that afternoon. We came early in the morning and were able to get a box of piping hot, fresh donuts! They have a killer special of 5 big donuts and 5 smaller donuts for $10.99! The big donuts can be their delicious apple fritter, eclairs, twists and many more. I watched them stuff the fresh chocolate eclair with the custard of my choosing. Their apple fritter is to die for. It is crispy on the outside with tons of apples and soft on the inside. It melted in my mouth and was still warm. All of the donuts were sooo good! I also ordered a banana bubble tea. The lady at the counter said she just made the tapioca balls today but they were ridiculously hard. The bubble tea was a frozen drink with the tapioca balls on the bottom. Disclaimer: I reserve the right to change my evaluation because the last two times I've been to the establishment, the guy at the counter was less than welcoming and unpleasant, to the point I vowed I wouldn't return; however, I did. So... maybe third time really is the charm. My friend and I found ourselves in Kernersville after attempting to purchase cupcakes from another business but unbeknownst to us, it's closed on Mondays. Still suffering from a sweet tooth, I made the decision to introduce her to Intown Donuts because their doughnuts are ALWAYS great. It's the customer service that has been unappetizing; therefore, I wasn't expecting much. The game plan was to get in and get out quickly to solely procure deliciousness. Surprise! There was a young lady behind the counter this time and she was AWESOME! She was sweet as the pastries and so very helpful. My friend is the most indecisive person in the world but the lady (didn't catch her name) was extremely patient and gave here good suggestions. Because of her, I will not hesitate to return. Warning: If you're on a diet, don't even get out of your car in the parking lot, or the smell of Intown Donutz will drag you in. This place is awesome. My wife and I have a standing "Don't go buy a bunch of donuts" rule that we've been very successful with for going on 8 years now, when we used to live right next to a Krispy Kreme. We have to be extraordinarily careful about even driving on the east side of Kernersville, or we find ourselves drawn into the tight little parking lot, and picking up blueberry donutz, apple fritterz (puts Starbucks to SHAME, btw), and holy-crap Maple icing donuts. I would give a 5-star review, but I've found the service to be a bit pushy. If I ever buy less than a half-dozen (which is most of the time, unless we have guests coming to visit), the owner (presumably?) always tries to guilt-trip me into buying more. I get it, it's a business, you need to make money, but donuts are a treat, not a necessity, don't give me crap for not stuffing my face full of heart-attack-inducing yumminess! Anyway, awesome donuts (donutz). Treat yourself sometime. And if you think you've had a good apple fritter before, think again, and grab one of these. Unfortunately I took my family to get a donut on a Saturday morning and we were met with awful service at In Town. We waited in line behind a man and when we approached the counter the lady behind the counter asked rather annoyingly if we wanted a dozen or a half dozen. I told her neither and was about to give her my order when she said, "You haven't decided so I will make his drink" (referring to the man who was served before me and had sat down to wait for a coffee). She then walked off. She was rude and didn't make herself clear ( my husband had to tell me what she said). I told her I had decided and she seemed annoyed by that. I told her nevermind and we left. I hope that this is not typical service and I hope it wasn't because we are black but I was not pleased. I also noticed that the counter was dirty and that the sanitation score is nowhere to be found. I will not be going back. Intown Donutz, K-Vegas. This place is nestled in a tight corner shopping area. Its a bit of a pain to get in and out of. The store is usually clean. The service has been good most times I have been here. Which is a lot. Too much really. The donuts are awesome. And the selection is good. I rarely leave with less than a dozen. We've been there several times over the past couple of years with no problems and have always been very satisfied. However, today was different. The sign on the window (it's always been there) said "Donuts & Boba 2." When I asked the girl behind the counter (she was the only one in the shop) what a Boba 2 is, she curtly told me that it's a milk and tea mix with tapioca ... something. InTownz is the place to go in the Triad for donuts! Now just down the street is their competition, and they both do it right that it's hard to decide between the two! I've been coming to InTownz since they opened back a few years ago. They have every donut known to man, and every one I've ever tried is superb! I've been here several times and never disappointed in the product. Good donuts and fritters, not the best I have had but pretty near the top. They do that part right but ditto on the customer service.. They get the job done but how about a little smile or give the customer a little time to decide what they want? I was the only patron in the store last time and the lady at the counter seemed a little upset that I couldn't immediately make some selections. You're working in a donut shop..they make people happy...lighten up and be happy too. I usually opt for the long donuts which they fill to order with a selection of fillings, lemon, custard, raspberry jam, perhaps another. They have good variety, all which can be filled I imagine. Maybe the ones with the holes can't be filled.. hmmm...or can they? Maybe I'll order a few hundred donut holes next trip and request each be filled with a variety of fillings. This little doughnut shop is great! I came here on a recommendation of a friend, and the store did not disappoint. I grabbed a chocolate glazed doughnut. It had a great chew, not-too-sweet bread portion, which complemented the glaze well. It tasted slightly eggy, which I think is a must for doughnuts. The doughnut had a bit more substance than those from Krispy Kreme, so I may have a new preferred local doughnut shop. The price of the doughnut was comparable to other shops in the area. Seating is limited though (1 small table), so plan to take your doughnuts to go, unless you are solo. There is a wide range of doughnut and other fried goods, so you should be able to find something for everyone, too. read more

I'm telling you what, this place is going to be trouble for me. It's so close to where I live, I know I'll visit more than I should! The reason for my 4-stars is because I just haven't tried enough to warrant a full blown 5-stars. I tried the pink glazed and chocolate sprinkle cake doughnut, oh, and a bite of the blueberry doughnut, too! I really enjoyed them all; the pink frosted (my favorite) reminded me somewhat of the texture of a Krispy Kreme doughnut. It was light, fluffy, and melted in your mouth. The chocolate cake doughnut was actually pretty good. I expected it to be dry, but it wasn't. So from that, I can tell they make everything fresh. Lastly, the blueberry doughnut was really good; I could see myself eating one for breakfast with some good ole coffee. The young man working was so nice and made great conversation with my mom and me. He was great with making suggestions and told us about their upcoming plans to start offering coupons. He also told us about a great deal they are currently running: six small (doughnuts) and six large (bear claws, apple fritters, etc.) items for $9.99. That's a great deal! So, I'm sure after I've sampled some of their other varieties, I'll bump it up one star. But for now, I need to burn off the calories from my last visit! read more

Made the attempt last Sunday after church to try them out, but it wasn't meant to be...they were closed. Went today and saw a wonderful variety of donutz, honey buns and the coffee smelled absolutely delightful. They have a special where you can buy 12 ( 6 large like apple fritters and 6 reg size) donutz for 11.99, a really good deal. Everything mentioned about this place is true, except one. The apple fritters were delish! The donutz are definitely worth the $ and the carbs/fat grams. The attitude of the male server/cashier/doughnut dude is unacceptable, and this is why I gave 3 stars instead of 5. Personally I will never go in the store again, maybe it's me but my tolerance is very low for poor attitudes/service. You will catch me at Starbucks down the street.... Went here las night for the first time. The people were so nice. I have eaten the apple fritter and it was so good. I have others in the box still to try but they look amazing also. I just wish there was one close to me. They said they are thinking about putting one on Jonestown Rd which would be near me. The donuts are da bomb. Fresh, doughy, filled to order! We went at 7:00 pm on a Saturday night and there were five people in line in front of us. We had a chance to look at the donuts and to decide what we wanted. We purchased a dozen mixed of the cream filled and raspberry filled. The man helping us was very nice and friendly, gave us some substitutions because they ran out of the round glazed, and also gave us some free donut holes. I think different people working at different times / days may experience a range of customer service here, but our visit was good. We mentioned that it was our first time visiting the store, and had heard how amazing the donuts are. We decided to try Intown Donutz for the first time last Sunday. We got there about 10 minutes before closing time. The open sign was still on and there were employees in there but they had locked the door. They refused to open it for us even though they were supposed to be open for another 10 minutes.
