chocolate glaze, chocolate custard filled, small coffee

first time coming in today while doing our laundry across the way. the gentleman running the shop has such a radiantly happy aura to him. we got two donuts and two small coffees. the donuts melt in your mouth; soft and sweet. the coffee was par for donut shop coffee, if you're like me a crave the specific cheap coffee from a donut shop - this is it, no burnt roast. all in all, the vibe inside the shop is quaint and watching the shop keeper interact with other customers, i could tell many of them are regulars. 10/10 recommend for a one time stop, or a new routine stop on your weekend errand runs!

This place is amazing. I come everyday... The bear claw has the freshest apple inside but outside is crispy and not soggy, I don't know how they do it. All the chocolate and glazed ones are perfect. Old school donuts with old school prices. I was losing hope in donuts and I'm back again

I came to purchase two old fashioned donuts during my donut tour in Long Beach. The donuts looked a bit darker in color than the golden brown I am use to, but I was still willing to give them my business. As I was telling the guy which donut I wanted, I mentioned to him that he broke the donut. He then got upset, perhaps because he was having a bad day or business was bad. Not sure which, but he kicked me out of the store and told me he wasn't going to serve me.

Is it a croissant or a delicious football?

Craved some good maple bars, read some reviews and had to try some, they are great! Would be five stars, but the selection was limited.

Our favorite is the chocolate concha. It is crisp, fresh, and has the slightest sourdough flavor. I tried the dona one time and while it was great. It was just too much for me. Literally, we had to bring it home. I would suggest splitting this because of its size and it has a lot of almond and jam so it's hefty. I also tried their jamon which was sooooo good. I would get this again. For drinks we have tried their Atole, Dulce de Leche and Horchata with Cold Brew. My new favorite is the Horchata. It is so well complimented by the cold brew and it's so smooth and not too sweet. My husband also liked the taste he tried but he went with my now second favorite the Dulce de Leche. What I love about this place is that everything is balanced. Its not too much of anything just perfect. The concha isn't too sweet. It's balanced by the sourdough which is complex. The coffees which anywhere else would be a sugar bomb are just right. The sugar highlights the brilliance of whatever it is paired with whether that is bread or coffee.

We went early to make sure they weren't sold out of anything we wanted. We got a good variety and ended up eating the entire box outside before leaving. Top pics would be Doña, Nixtamal Queen, Alfajor de Neuz, and the Brie and Ham Sandwich. My wife got the matcha which was fantastic and I got the Atole latte which was perfectly creamy and not overly sweet. We even got some the morning we left town to make sure we had some to eat back home. Can't wait to be back

The team is always so kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see customers. Their custom cakes are absolutely to die for and have been a favorite of mine for years. I'm absolutely obsessed with their coffee menu, baked items, sandwiches, and their selection of grocery-like goods. I ordered the Midsommar caramel latte, ceasar salad sandwich on their fresh baked bread, and the strawberry rhubarb and pistachio danish (!!). I'd easily sign up for this lineup to be my last meal on earth. I even ordered a sourdough bread loaf with olives so I could ride this high for several more days. The Midsommar latte is crafted with housemade caramel, espresso, milk, and topped with sprinkles of fennel and bee pollen - the perfect finale to an already incredible drink. To hear that they also offer an extensive pizza menu? You won't be seeing the last of me, Colossus.

There are also three tables outside that seat four, four, and two for a maximum of ten. The place fills up fast, but empties just as quick. And their baked goods go quick, so grab them while you can! I ordered the Cuban Empanada as an appetizer. The savory rice and bean filling was a perfect compliment to the sweet ripe plantain filling and hint of sweetness in the dough. They are baked and the dough is thick and chewy, so if you're not a fan of that type of Empanada, be warned... I ordered the Cuban Sandwich as the main course. It was DELICIOUS and I would recommend it to everyone! If you're a purist, like a few of my friends and family though, be warned. Their take on the Cuban is made with Ciabatta not Cuban Bread, Mozzarella not Swiss, and is toasted not pressed... I ordered a Vanilla & Dulce De Leche Cookie for Dessert. It was AMAZING! Soft chewy on the inside, a little crunch on the outside. The taste of a sugar cookie with little sugar bombs of Dulce De Leche throughout. Perfect. And I washed it all down with a Tres Leches Latte (Hot). It was DIVINE! Very much on the sweet side, which I absolutely enjoyed to the last drop. But, if you do not like it too sweet, you can ask them to lower the sweetness level. Also, they will give you an option of dairy milk (2%), almond milk, or oat milk when you order. Overall it was an excellent experience, for me. I will recommend it to all my friends, and will definitely be back!
