We stopped by their booth at the Torrance Farmers' market (on a Saturday) and bought a slice of ube. cheesecake with a brûlée topping. It was rich, creamy and crave worthy but not too sweet. We are already thinking about buying a whole one the next time we have a birthday celebration!
Everything made here tasted great. Not pictured is ube tres leches my son ordered. I'm not a fan of tres leches but I like cheesecake so went with the ube creme Brulee cheesecake slice. Excellent flavors that aren't overly sweet.
I have been in search of the best Cheesecake, hoping to find it available for delivery. Lamon was recommended & I had 2 friends eager to help me evaluate. We ordered the ube , the basque & the passion fruit. They were all good the ube crème brûlée was sweet and creamy, the vanilla Basque was both the most traditional & the favorite. They were all passion fruit has a dark chocolate top that while delicious does overpower the more delicate fruit flavor. . For value it is priced better than most. I would order again

I tried the ube crème brûlée cheesecake(top seller), and it was one of the best ube desserts I've had in a long time. Perfectly sweet, rich without being heavy, and absolutely addictive. We also tried the ube cheesecake brownies and ube tres leches, and both were fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and clearly done with care. The owner Monica was incredibly kind and sweet, which made the experience even better. If you love ube, this is a must try and I'll be thinking about that cheesecake for awhile.

I thought I would not be a fan of the Dubai slice because I thought there wasn't any kataifi. But I was presently surprised the crust was kataifi! Such an awesome cake and idea. It melts right in your mouth. I've never had this any where else. The combination of the Ube with the custard of the creme brûlée is flavor perfection!!! Don't be fooled by the outside look of the shop, although it's small- it's packing huge amounts of flavor! The person in front was super helpful and on it with making everything sound good :) There's slices, cakes, pies, cookie and crinkle cookies (which is what sells like hot cakes, i will be trying them next time!) I got a raspberry pistachio cake slice (7/10, good flavor but couldn't taste the pistachio as much and the raspberries were a bit soggy), strawberry tres leche slice (8.5/10, the slice itself was great but it was a bit dry for a tres leches), and the ube cheesecake crème brûlée (10/10, some of the best cheesecake i've ever had, it's not too sweet but not too sugary- they are also known for this number!) Highly recommend giving them a try :)

The Ube Cheesecake Creme Brûlée makes my taste buds bounce into outer space and back; it's so good and hands-down my absolute favorite. The caramelized brûlée top adds a deep-caramel crunch that absolutely elevates this cheesecake. The Pistachio Raspberry meringue cake is so flavorful and light, a true crowd-pleaser. Other goodies: Ube Tiramisu, Biscoff Basque Cheesecake, and the Burj cake if you're looking for a decadent chocolatey layered dessert. Do not skip the Ube Crinkle Cookies! Parking is always hard to find, but the delicious treats and friendly service makes it so worth it!
My boyfriend's brother ordered a ube tiramisu from here for my birthday. It was so delicious! You get that tiramisu flavor with hints of ube flavor and together it just makes the perfect bite!
I'm excited to have a Filipino bakery in the neighborhood. I took my parents here and they're the toughest critics I know. Happy to say they enjoyed every bite! One of the items we ordered was the ube mango tres leches and it came with a scoop of ube that I wish we had more of! I'm very particular with my ube - the taste and texture need to be just right - and this was the one!! Selfishly, I hope they serve tins of ube at some point. Plus the mango puree was the perfect blend of sweet and tart. I've also had both the chocolate and ube crinkles, avocado cheesecake, black sesame cheesecake, pistachio raspberry cake, ube macaroons, and a couple others I can't seem to recall. Safe to say - I've tried about half the menu and it truly is a slice of heaven.

Almost like a tres leche cake with cream and berries They have a variety of cookies that are both large and tasty Love their pandas cookie. Not too sweet but tasty Cookies are soft and not crumbly

I was looking for a bakery open on a Memorial Day Monday and found LaMon, thanks to Yelp. The exterior looks a little sketchy, but inside you'll find an assortment of delightful pastries! I chose a slice of ube cheesecake creme brûlée ($6), which he freshly brûléed the top before packaging it to go. My daughter saw the slice in the fridge, asked if she could have some and then proceeded to eat the majority of it because it was THAT good. When it was my turn, I could see why she couldn't stop eating it. It was delightfully light and not too sweet. It's probably going to be one of my favorite things I've eaten in 2026! This little bakery is definitely worth seeking out if you're in Long Beach! read more

I have a new favorite ube cheesecake and it's this one! I really enjoyed the crunchy texture that the Brûlée topping added to the cheesecake. The vanilla basque biscoff was good as well, but it didn't steal my heart as much as the ube one did. The shop is small, service was friendly, and parking wasn't too bad on a Tuesday. We will definitely come back to try some more treats and get another ube slice. read more

My daughter's favorite cake is tiramisu. I always order one for her birthday. I saw a recommendation on a FB group about this bakery and I wanted to support a fellow filipino business. I wanted to surprise my daughter this year when I discovered that LaMon makes ube tiramisu. She also loves ube and this would be a nice surprise to have this combination. I ordered online an Ube tiramisu cake a month in advance for my daughter's birthday. A few days before, I decided I wanted to pick up a day before her birthday, so I text them and they confirmed the change. I drove 35 min on the day of pickup. The business was a small bakery filled with many desserts. To my surprise, my cake wasn't there due to a door dash order. I got in contact with Ron and he was apologetic. He assured me that they would make up for the error and his wife Monica made a new cake the next day. My daughter loved the cake and it's her new favorite. Despite the mishap, I will definitely come back and hope to try the other desserts like their ube cheesecake crème brûlée, ube crinkles, and the banana cream pie. I recommend confirming the order for future before heading out there for pickup. read more

I don't usually leave reviews unless a place is terrible or mind-blowing, and this place is the latter.I honestly didn't expect much when I walked in, but this is hands-down the best Crème Brûlée Ube Cheesecake I have ever had. The Ube was incredibly Velvety the Crème Brûlée was Smooth burnt sugar layer was crunchy Cheesecake was Creamy and Rich without being overwhelming, and the crust was perfectly Crunchy Buttery. You can tell LaMon use quality ingredients! Shoutout to the gentleman behind the counter was very Friendly and welcoming, thank you for Amazing experience @LaMon This place is a hidden gem. This little gem is a locally owned business It's mostly Ube desserts, so bring your Ube lover here. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. On their yelp page it says it's dog friendly. And they also have vegan, gluten free and sugar free options I've also ordered some dessert from them through DoorDash / Uber eats. But this was my first time coming in They are also featured on the app- too good to go. Where they offer surprise bags at the end of the day. Unfortunately, ive yet to try their delicious looking cookies. So I'll definitely have to come back and continue to support this cute little shop PS- parking can be a little tricky. My daughter and I are new to the area and we decided to just walk around and check things out. We stumble upon this little bakery. We saw so many ube treats! We went for the ube tiramisu! 1000/10!!!! Must get! I can't wait to be back! The person that helped us was nice. read more
Ordered their Signature Ube Cheesecake Brulee. Note this is a very small store front. The baking is all done offsite. I read several reviews that people were off put with seeing packaged baked goods! Other bakeries have the similar business model. The one staff member working prepared the creme brulee top white I waited. Nice aroma too! She was very friendly and made sure I was happy with the cheesecake top after she finished. One bakery case was filled with cookies and bars. The other dislayed their cheese cake. Small but neat and organized store. Parking is very challenging in this area. There is a busy pub across the street (Gallagher's) and very busy this Sunday morning. Likely what contributed to the scarce parking. Important note - hours on the Yelp page stare they open at 9am. Hours on the door state 930am. Theircwebsite doesn't have any hours and allows you to peeorder as early as 8am. I let them know at the store but hopefully a manager will see this and make corrections. Came here for the first time over the weekend. We ordered a slice of Ube cheesecake creme brûlée, a slice of avocado cheesecake creme brûlée, and a slice of Ube and tres leches cake. I wrote the names in the order of which we favored. I never thought I'd enjoy a dessert that had avocado in it, but it was delicious. I'm glad we came here. Next visit we want to try some of the cookies as well. I'm not a gluten free girly but it's nice to see they have options for those who are. read more

Was in the mood for a Basque cheesecake and this bakery came up. I've lived in Long Beach, my whole life, and I'm surprised I've never seen or heard about this place. I purchased two slices of cheesecake Ube crumble cookies and a Ube tiramisu. My boyfriend and I were hungry and decided to dig into the cheesecake while we were in the car. I must say it exceeded our expectations. I wish she saw the look on his face when I told him I had bought two slice slices of cheesecake. Rushing home now try the rest. read more

Lamon is such a gem! This beautiful little Filipino bake shop in Long Beach instantly won me over. The girl behind the counter was so kind and helpful--she took extra care packing my sweets so they looked just as good as they tasted. I left with a gorgeous assortment of brownies, ube treats, cookies, and more, and every bite was delicious. You can feel the love in both the flavors and the presentation. In shorts, this place is a legit 5 stars! Please give them a try. It's more of a takeout place ( there's a bench and a couple table with chairs outside). Plenty of parking on the street when we came. It's very clean and the folks who were working during our visit were were friendly, helpful and cordial ( their names are Ray and Jazz I believe). Everything we bought are very reasonably priced ($12.50 - $6) I came here after watching the review on YouTube by Janie Devours. All I can say is WOW . She wasn't lying. This bakery made amazing desserts. Everything we tried were impressive. Well-made desserts,perfectly sweet, the flavors shine. We tried 4 desserts: - Burj cake - 5 ( it's crunchy, soft, chocolatey... The perfect interpretation of" Dubai chocolate" ) - Passionfruit calamansi cheesecake- 5 - Ube brulee cheesecake- 5 - Avocado cheesecake 4.5( not used to avocado as dessert, but it works and so delicious!) We can't wait to come back and try more of the goodies read more

Super sarap talaga! 1st time and not the last. Ordered slice of Ube cheesecake to share and a small clip of Ube cheesecake Brownies for later. Sublime, crisp and creamy, sweet without being too sweet. Very friendly service with a smile and the ambiance is mid size Sari Sari store. Just missing some sky flakes and shampoo packages hangin. Honestly I don't want anyone to know about this spot because they are mine... all . . . MINE!!!! bwahahahahahahahahha... Syke! Next time will try everything else... Consume here human. Initially learnt about it from a stall that LaMon had at the Long Beach Night Market. I'm a sucker for creme brule, which they had available at the Market. But before buying it, I realized they couldn't blow torch it there because of safety regulations. So instead decided to stop in as our second to last stop on an errand trip, and ended up buying a sampling of their best. We've been sampling it at home for the past couple days, and everything has been really good. It's a very small shop, located on Broadway, East of Downtown Long Beach. Parking is difficult in that area, so ended up on street parking a couple blocks away. It wasn't busy inside, so was able to take our time and ended up getting 5 things to go. Ube Creme Brule ($5) - two layer cheesecake with a caramelized crust. Wish the sugar crust was even thicker. The cheesecake underneath was excellent, perfect consistency with the rig Ube Almond Croissant ($4) - A large, flaky croissant with a good almond filling (frangipane) and a thick ube frosting. It was excellent...first to be finished. Black Sesame Ensaymada ($4) - I really like steamed buns with black sesame filling, and this reminded me of that, except the filling glaze was on the outside. Ube Ensamada - ($4) - Same ensaymada dough except with ube sugar topping. Similar to a cinnamon roll but not as sweet. Cheese Ensamada -($4) - Really liked this. Have gotten to like shredded melted cheddar cheese on bread, and this version was as good as any I've had. I don't mean to intentionally propagate the thinking that all Filipino desserts have to be made out of Ube. But that's what is popular these days, and a large selection reflected that. What my wife and I really liked about the desserts were that they were not overly sweet, and still had that deep royal purple hue that Ube provides and makes it so beautiful. I may be wrong, but I don't really know what the flavor/taste of Ube is, except that it provides a subtle sweetness...and Lamon Bakery really does a nice job of using that to make some classic and delicious desserts and breads. read more

Back with an update after ordering the Matcha Horchata. The MH is about $5 and so good! It's the perfect mix of earthy matcha, sweet, and smooth. You can even taste the small hint of cinnamon.
