We stopped by their booth at the Torrance Farmers' market (on a Saturday) and bought a slice of ube. cheesecake with a brûlée topping. It was rich, creamy and crave worthy but not too sweet. We are already thinking about buying a whole one the next time we have a birthday celebration!

Everything made here tasted great. Not pictured is ube tres leches my son ordered. I'm not a fan of tres leches but I like cheesecake so went with the ube creme Brulee cheesecake slice. Excellent flavors that aren't overly sweet.

I have been in search of the best Cheesecake, hoping to find it available for delivery. Lamon was recommended & I had 2 friends eager to help me evaluate. We ordered the ube , the basque & the passion fruit. They were all good the ube crème brûlée was sweet and creamy, the vanilla Basque was both the most traditional & the favorite. They were all passion fruit has a dark chocolate top that while delicious does overpower the more delicate fruit flavor. . For value it is priced better than most. I would order again

Discovered LaMon Bakery at an outdoor movie event recently and immediately knew I was in trouble in the best way possible. This Filipino bakery has so many great options, especially if you're an ube lover. I tried the ube crème brûlée cheesecake(top seller), and it was one of the best ube desserts I've had in a long time. Perfectly sweet, rich without being heavy, and absolutely addictive. We also tried the ube cheesecake brownies and ube tres leches, and both were fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and clearly done with care. The owner Monica was incredibly kind and sweet, which made the experience even better. If you love ube, this is a must try and I'll be thinking about that cheesecake for awhile.

The goat of Filipinos bakeries. I had originally tried them at Ube fest in Long Beach and they were so good I had to come check it out in person. Though they were sold out of a lot of stuff because of Mother's Day I still ended up grabbing 2 things. The Ube creme brulee cheesecake is perfection. 10/10 cheesecake. I thought I would not be a fan of the Dubai slice because I thought there wasn't any kataifi. But I was presently surprised the crust was kataifi! Such an awesome cake and idea. The service was also amazing the guy was super nice and let us know Mother's Day had made their stock low. The inside is small but clean and it's like a small hidden gem. Overall amazing bakery and I will probably post a tiktok about this place soon. So good!

I pretty much devoured this deng ube cheesecake. They came to a farmers markets where they told me the best seller is the ube cheese cake and I can see why. I also tried a calamansi cake that was delicious. There's a hint of calamansi that surprisingly went well with the chocolate. I highly recommend the ube cheese cake if you are an ube lover.

Delicious Filipino bakery right on Broadway, across the street from Gallagher's and Syndicate. It's very small, you can drive right by easy. COOKIES*** Ube Crinkles are my go to! You get a nice stack of them. Perfect with some coffee or milk. Always fresh and moist, made with natural homemade ube halaya. CAKE*** We also tried a Slice of Ube Cheesecake Creme Brûlée. It melts right in your mouth. I've never had this any where else. The combination of the Ube with the custard of the creme brûlée is flavor perfection!!! SERVICE*** Very kind and informative young man was working the last time we went. Nice neighborhood vibe. PARKING*** Street parking, but lots of options

Don't be fooled by the outside look of the shop, although it's small- it's packing huge amounts of flavor! The person in front was super helpful and on it with making everything sound good :) There's slices, cakes, pies, cookie and crinkle cookies (which is what sells like hot cakes, i will be trying them next time!) I got a raspberry pistachio cake slice (7/10, good flavor but couldn't taste the pistachio as much and the raspberries were a bit soggy), strawberry tres leche slice (8.5/10, the slice itself was great but it was a bit dry for a tres leches), and the ube cheesecake crème brûlée (10/10, some of the best cheesecake i've ever had, it's not too sweet but not too sugary- they are also known for this number!) Highly recommend giving them a try :)

Calling all ube-lovers!! LaMon is hands down one of the best places to get a cake in Long Beach. I love ube, and their ube items are top notch. The Ube Cheesecake Creme Brûlée makes my taste buds bounce into outer space and back; it's so good and hands-down my absolute favorite. The caramelized brûlée top adds a deep-caramel crunch that absolutely elevates this cheesecake. The Pistachio Raspberry meringue cake is so flavorful and light, a true crowd-pleaser. Other goodies: Ube Tiramisu, Biscoff Basque Cheesecake, and the Burj cake if you're looking for a decadent chocolatey layered dessert. Do not skip the Ube Crinkle Cookies! Parking is always hard to find, but the delicious treats and friendly service makes it so worth it!

My boyfriend's brother ordered a ube tiramisu from here for my birthday. It was so delicious! You get that tiramisu flavor with hints of ube flavor and together it just makes the perfect bite!

I'm excited to have a Filipino bakery in the neighborhood. I took my parents here and they're the toughest critics I know. Happy to say they enjoyed every bite! One of the items we ordered was the ube mango tres leches and it came with a scoop of ube that I wish we had more of! I'm very particular with my ube - the taste and texture need to be just right - and this was the one!! Selfishly, I hope they serve tins of ube at some point. Plus the mango puree was the perfect blend of sweet and tart. I've also had both the chocolate and ube crinkles, avocado cheesecake, black sesame cheesecake, pistachio raspberry cake, ube macaroons, and a couple others I can't seem to recall. Safe to say - I've tried about half the menu and it truly is a slice of heaven.

First visit was to sample pies for a birthday celebration. I got the marionberry, salted caramel (GF) and raspberry dream. On the second trip for the actual birthday pie, I picked the salted caramel b/c the group is a chocolate crowd. Third time, just wanted pie! Also sampled the cutie pies in the jar... I don't think the mini pie made it home lol. Today (#4 visit) I was craving the raspberry dream and wanted to try the apple pie. My current ranking of pie I've tried is: 1. Raspberry dream, 2. salted caramel, 3. White chocolate raspberry (cutie pie), 4. marionberry (nicely tart, full of berries but a bit dry, went well with ice cream), 5. whiskey peach (too much crust, not enough peach, not very peachy). The shop has some seating but I only saw one group seated once. I always took my pies home to enjoy. Nonna has become our go to bakery, our sweet retreat, and one of our favorite local brunch spots. Now, they even have happy hour and, during the summer, dinner (Nonna Summer Nights)! And all of the food is amazing. Seriously, truly legit! We buy bread from there each week. No more "big box store" bread you freeze. They make their bread fresh daily. They only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients with no preservatives. It's nice to look at an ingredient list and not see a paragraph for bread (and be able to pronounce all the names!). And their cupcakes and sweets. Yo, seriously so good. And the thing is, because of the ingredients they use, we don't feel heavy or overly wired after eating cake or cupcakes from them. From other places you can tell they use preservatives, refined sugars, processed ingredients. But with Nonna, you can just taste the difference. We even had them make our special cake for our wedding! We recently tried their dinner (twice!) and it exceeded expectations. Now, mind you, all of their food has always been good but our experience was amazing. Their prix fixe menu was well put together, wine pairings on point, dessert was also delicious. Our favorite was the tiramisu! Also loved the spaghattini and casarecce pastas, and entrecôte di manzo, but everything was great. Their brunch is also great, you really can't go wrong on the menu. And I think we've gone through almost all of it! Finally, (if you've stayed with me this long!) the absolute best thing about Nonna for us is the TEAM. Hands down no question. The food is good, space is a comfortable neighborhood vibe, and all that. But truly the folks here are amazing humans. Always friendly, warm, and welcoming. If the management team is reading this, you all have a great group of people there! We will definitely be back (again and again and again) and you should too!

Located in the quaint Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, street parking was plentiful right outside the restaurant. We came around noon on Saturday, and thankfully despite their busy brunch rush we were seated immediately. Even though all of their seating is outdoors, tables are shaded by overhanging canopy and just added to the cute southern Italian bistro vibes of the place. The menu had a solid selection of both brunch and lunch items - I loved the Burrata di Campagna, which was flavorful with just the right amount of tart from the heirloom tomatoes. For my main meal I had to go with the Casarecce - one of their pastas that's made fresh in house daily. The braided pasta was wonderfully textured and soaked up all the pesto sauce without being overly oily, a perfect meal for a hot summer day. We finished our meal with a Nutella Croissant, from their artisan bakery that also makes their bread fresh every day. Perhaps I am a little biased, but the laminated dough was perfectly light and flaky, encasing a very generous filling of hazelnut chocolate cream. Our check at the end of the meal even came with a custom drawn postcard by one of the Nonna Mercato service staff - another present to add on to what was already a gift of a meal!
