Chicken tenders, mac & cheese, sweet potato soufflé, Mexican cornbread

This is my place to go for homestyle cooking! Tonight I had three chicken tenders with sweet potato soufflé and mac&cheese. Topped it off with some jalapeño cornbread! I got it take out and was served promptly and courteously. The food was hot and tasty and I don't believe I could have cooked it myself for the price. This my go-to restaurant in the evening!

3 veggie plate for $8.25! Can't beat it! I got taters and gravy, turnips, and pintos and ooowee this shit got me excited! Ha

Aye yall. This shit fye! I usually eat at a similar restaurant down the street, (won't say any names) but they serve the same style food, and I can guarandamntee you Grant's Kitchen is the better choice! I'll eat here 3 nights a week baby! Let me also add that I DID NOT have to salt and pepper any of Mt food! Was all seasoned to perfection.

It was about 8pm, and I wanted some Southern style veggies that were nearby. Found this place, but was always a little hesitant to go, because he's not a fan of buffet or cafeteria style since the food is usually sitting on the line for a min. I got the pick 5 veggie pate, he got the chicken fried steak, and two sides. Again our eyes were bigger than our stomach, we saw a their huge boneless porkchop sitting on the line, it's only $4.50 a piece, so why not? Added that too. We didnt have any high expectation, y'all, were we wrong! Everything tasted great! Porkchop was the size of half the plate, and no it wasn't all breading. That thing was like an inch thick, and super juicy, not dry one bit. Breading was light, and very well seasoned. Chicken fried steak also had great flavor. Food was hot, everything that was fried were still crispy. All of the Veggies tasted good, some were okay, but nothing that we wouldn't eat. Mac n cheese, cabbage, lima beans, and corn souffle were our favorites. This place reminds me of Fresh Market on Spillway before the Covid days. We tried both brown and white gravy, enjoyed both, but I prefer the white gravy, it tasted like a stick of butter We weren't a fan of the cornbread, but that's because we like sweet cornbread, just our preference. Overall great food, and the best bang for your buck, all of this was about $27. Included a menu for yall.

After a successful purchase and a hemorrhaging from my credit card, we opted to celebrate the occasion with a meal. And Lo and behold Table 100 was just across the street from where we were. Ambiance 4 Stars - as you walk into the establishment, you are transported back where the warm wood interior, cozy white table cloth tables or booths, high end bar drinks, and classy servers in their white or black attire are waiting to serve you. There plenty of tables and booths to seat a plentiful of patrons. And if you need a little bit more private, you can request a private room depending how many are in the party. 4.5 Stars - Service: our server, Andrew was wonderful, professional and has a great sense of humor. We bantered throughout our dinner but the conversation never crossed over to make anyone uncomfortable. He was observant of our needs and when to bring our next course. Our glasses stayed full with our beverage. 4.25 Stars - Food We ordered from the dinner menu instead of lunch due to our timing at 3:00. Let's just call it "Linner". Haha. 4 Stars - Grilled Swordfish- My wife ordered the dish and came with a decent size grilled swordfish fish, sauté spinach, creamed mash potatoes, and a beurre blanc sauce (lemon, butter and dry white wine). The swordfish was thick and moist; not dry at all. The beurre blanc balanced the bland spinach and the seasoned swordfish. The creamed potatoes were creamy, buttery's and not too salty. 3.75 Stars - Pan seared Redfish with cube fried potatoes, sauté green beans, beurre blanc sauce and top w a Chilean tomato salsa. The redfish was moist and tasty but I wish it had a little bit seared on it for a crunchy factor. The cubed potatoes were good but nothing to write about. The fresh sauté green beans could have a bit more garlic butter. 3.5 Stars Side dish: Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts. Hot, steamy and fresh. Has a slight crunch on the exterior leaves and was seasoned w a sprinkle of salt. 3.75 Dessert: Crème Brûlée and coffee. The crème brûlée crust was crunchy and the vanilla egg custard was good and smooth. It would have been better was a scoop of fresh whipped cream to go with the fresh fruit and crunchy layer. 5 Stars - French pressed Italian coffee. The coffee was a highlight of the dessert. It was hot, fresh, and strong. Just like an Italian coffee should be. It was between an espresso and caffe' Americano. Our, server, Andrew did a wonderful job on the coffee! I definitely recommend this place and we will be back. Don't forget to ask for Andrew, if he is available.

We walked in…read morearound 9am on a Sunday morning and, after confirming they had pork-alternatives on the menu, waited to be seated. The place was not crowded but was doing a decent business and we only waited about a minute before being escorted to our table. The space is slightly cramped, as you have to walk single file down the aisles, especially if there are customers at the tables. Regardless, the decor is nicely done with cool copper looking A/C ductwork exposed among the black painted rafters and beams in the ceiling. I was immediately arrested by the Apple Fritter French Toast, French toast style fritters with fried apples, rum butter sauce, blueberries and powdered sugar! Both the description and the pictures on the menu were mouth-watering! But I was also torn between that and the Bourbon Street Pancakes, three house-recipe cakes topped bananas, pecans, rum butter sauce drizzle and whipped cream. Yeah, I was thinking exactly what you are thinking right now! After much indecision, I opted for the French Toast, with a side of eggs and chicken sausage. My mom ordered the Pumplin Crunch Waffle, a pumpkin infused graham cracker crunch Belgian waffle, spiced pumpkin cheesecake butter, maple pumpkin syrup and powdered sugar. I also opted to try one of their Cranberry Pomegranate Fizz Mocktail, which was iced tea, cranberry and pomegranate syrups, lime and ginger beer, with rosemary and orange peel! We were taking no calories prisoner today! After a short wait, my mocktail was brought out. It was just okay. First, the glass was completely full of ice so there was barely any drink. The syrups were a little too sweet and the ginger beer was not very prominent. As I was tasting it, our server came back to inform me that they were out of apples for my French Toast. Maybe its just me, but 9am seems kind of early to be running out of ingredients for your featured dish at a breakfast/brunch restaurant... Anyway, that dilemna settled, I reverted to my other choice and got the Bourbon Pancakes. I also asked the server to remake my mocktail with less ice, which he obliged very quickly. Our food arrived shortly thereafter and the pancakes were really good! Just the right amount of flavor and syrup. My mom's belgian waffle was also pretty good, although she wished it had been larger. The eggs and sausage were decent, but not especially memorable. Overall, it was a really enjoyable first meal back in Jackson. I would not hesitate to come again!

I was so excited to come here because this is a duo restaurant + bake shop, serving Southern favorites. Upon entrance, I was greeted by the staff members in such a warm, hospitable manner. Since I traveled across the U.S. and flew in from California, I was quite famished. I ordered the following: * Hamburger Steak Entree (angus hamburger meat, mushrooms, onions & gravy): Selected the two sides - Mac & Cheese and Turnip Greens. Also came with a green salad (added boiled eggs) and a bread roll. A soft drink was even included with the entree. * Bowl of Seafood Gumbo All of the food was beyond palatable. Everything was super flavorful, and I enjoyed it all from the start to the finish. I was especially quite impressed with the taste of Turnip Greens and Seafood Gumbo (top favorites). The portion of the meal was generous and filling. I was feeling full and satisfied after consumption. I wasn't able to try any of the desserts. However, it was nice to know that there was a variety of freshly-baked sweet treats available. Options included cakes, cookies, pies, pound cakes, and breads. The ambiance of the restaurant gave it a family-oriented, neighborhood diner. The dining room was spacious, with a lot of tables and chairs available. The overall feel was cozy and inviting. From the pleasant customer service of the staff to the delicious food, Primos Cafe definitely delivers. I highly recommend stopping by.

The country fried steak was crispy on the outside and hot on the inside and had plenty of gravy on top. Also, the gravy was exactly the right consistency. The coleslaw was excellent and the green beans were hot as well, and both were seasoned well. The unsweetened tea was very tasty and fresh. The burger was cooked to medium as requested. The bacon and cheese were great toppings as was the crisp lettuce and what tasted like local tomatoes. One of the best things about the burger was the homemade white bun--(also served with the country steak). It tasted like buns my mom used to make. The onion rings were hot and crispy, with a wonderful crunchy fried batter. Delicious! We haven't tried the pudding yet, but we'll update our review tonight when we try it out! The onion rings were thin, crispy, and really good. My daughter got the chicken tenders and they were massive. I mean actually massive. More importantly, they were delicious. Parking is definitely at a premium, so get there early if you can or be prepared to wait a little. I have a dental issues so I ordered the Onions, Mushrooms & Gravy OTS. (My side was Mac&Cheese.) Well, I had to call the store bc neither the gravy OR the Mac&cheese made it to our hotel. Of course I sent hubby back for the gravy but by the time I realized the Mac&cheese was missing, hubby was already eating. I opted to just call to make them aware of the missing order items. According to the manager in the phone Mac&Cheese wasn't even on the ticket yet it's printed AND CHARGED on our receipt. I decided to just try & enjoy the meal. 4 bites. FOUR. The roast was SOOOOO salty. I thought it was the gravy so I kept the sandwich for later and tried to eat it NOT THE GRAVY. It wasn't the gravy at all. I had hubby try it and he spit out the 1st bite. The salt was overpowering. Unbelievably overpowering. Our bill was $55 ish & it was the worst meal we have had here in Mississippi. The 2 star was specifically for the linguine. Besides the crawfish- perfection.
