Dropped my truck off last week for an ignition issue. I was sent a quote of $516.16. I talked to service advisor and agreed to the price as well as authorized online. Went to pick up my truck today and was told a price of $766.32. I was shocked and ask what additional charges were? I was told it was a diagnostic fee. After talking to the service advisor he charged me $610. I'm not sure if it's normal business practice to not include all the fees in a quote you give a customer they agree to but it felt pretty shady. Make sure to ask what total charges are including diagnostic before agreeing to service. read more

Do NOT buy a used vehicle from this dealership without getting it inspected somewhere else first. We purchased a 2017 Chevy Silverado from them after being told it had been fully inspected. On the diagnostic paperwork they gave us, the transmission fluid was marked that it was adjusted, and when we asked about it we were told it just needed to be topped off, it was nothing significant otherwise notes would be under that marked field, but that everything else was fine. A little over 90 days later, and 1,127 miles later the truck suffered a complete transmission failure. When we brought it back to the dealership, they first told us it would cost $7,200 to replace the transmission, and later lowered it to $5,600 like it was an amazing offer. Either way, that is an enormous repair for a vehicle we had just purchased and believed was in good condition. If they truly performed a full inspection on the truck before selling it, they should have known the transmission was close to failing. That was never disclosed to us at the time of purchase. Instead, we were told everything was fine, and now we're left dealing with a major repair only a few months later. Buyers beware and make sure to get an independent inspection before purchasing a vehicle here. If you buy a brand new vehicle here I'm sure you'll be fine but if you buy a used vehicle here be cautious because they'll obviously lie about the condition of the truck and not be willing to work with you for a repair. I brought my Honda in for a warranty issue. They told me to come in at 8:00 a.m. At 11:00 I went to see what was going on with my car. It was not in the shop. They took 3 hours to tell me what I had already told them was wrong with it. It took my husband 10 minutes to establish that the A/C was leaking. Then they told me it would take a minimum of another 4 hours. They knew that I was waiting and I had told them when I made the appointment that I would be waiting. They put everyone ahead of me, I guess because I was covered by a Honda warranty. I don't know, but NOT one single person apologized for either their screw up or negligence in letting me sit and wait 7 hours for a repair that took 3 hours max. This is NOT the same service that you got when it was Jim Siegel's. Very disappointing and I will not be back. I can go to the dealer in Medford. read more

I purchased a car as-is, which I understand. However, within 3 months the car was leaking oil and I had gas fume smell in the cabin. I took the car to my mechanic. GP Automotive tried to glue the part together, repairing it just enough to sell the car before it came apart. $600 later, I fully replaced the part which was the correct method of repair. The carfax report I got from GP Automotive made it look like they'd actually repaired the issue, but they "repaired" it instead. I was not happy with this outcome as their "repair" felt super sketchy and underhanded and cost me even more money after having just bought the car. read more

CAREFUL if you have an electric vehicle that you need charged to get home. Twice I've been in for service and twice I didn't get the info I needed to not get fully pissed off. First time: told them I would need the car charged to get home as it takes almost the full charge to get one way to the dealership (closest one). They said no problem, they would charge it while they work on it and it would be ready to go upon completion of service. Not so. It was still under 30% and come to find out I had to spend extra time (and MONEY) to charge the car AT THE DEALERSHIP. Second time: I schedule for a recall service and ask about charging the car to ensure the fast charger would be available. Got confirmation and scheduled. Once service was complete, I brought the car to the fast charger so I could PAY to leave with a charged car in less than 4 hours. Bring it out there and the darned thing is down! I ask about it and the sales consultant I randomly talked to said it was down and has been down for awhile and that they've been waiting for a part or something like that for a fix. So now I'm here waiting 4 hours with my 8-year-old daughter for my car to charge so I can go home. This sucks. Next time I'm going to ask them to walk out to the friggin charger and tell me with their own eyes that it is indeed working before they say yes. Argh, know what you can offer and what is going to have your customer stick at the dealership ALL DAY LONG. Ugh ugh ugh. read more

Worst Experience with the Service Department: We purchased a 2020 Chevy truck. Two days later the check engine light came on and we immediately contacted the dealership. We brought it into the service department the next week and they said the glow plug was fine and cleared the code. The code came back on and we took the truck back into the service department less than 45 days from the purchase date and they refused to pay to fix a problem that we notified them about immediately after purchasing a $30k vehicle. I traded in my car for one of there's. Sold my car for $3500 less than I owed so I payed the difference to pay it off. All was still good. Purchased a car from them and put $2500 down on purchase. Shortly after buying the car I discovered the valve cover was leaking and the right fender was loose and the cars front end was in need of ball joints and other components as the vehicle was undrivable at anything above 50mph. They were very helpful at this point and agreed to repair vehicle. Prior to droping the car off for the repairs I discovered the front and rear differential had only a pint of oil each, less than half the amount. Also the tansfer case was hslf low as well. When I picked the vehicle up from the tire shop that the dealership sent me to, the shop stated that the track bar mount had been cut of the rear axel and the vehicle was not safe to drive. I went directly back to the dealership and on the way there the check engine light comes on. At this point I had enough with these problems as its been in the shop more than I have been able to use it. I just wanted my old car back and I got it back. They took the car back they sold me, keep my $2500 I had put down on their car, then sold me my car back for $4000 more than I sold it to them for. That was the only way I could step away from a car they sold me that should have been inspected closer before selling it on their lot. Over $6000 grand to do this kind of bussiness and really no admission on their part as to the fact that maybe the car they originally sold me probably should not have been sold, especially since the rear axel track bar bracket was cut of the vehicle and they still wanted to sell me back my car for a profit to boot. I will add that a few days later the dealership gave $1000 check to be fair but still, its not what would have been fair. I think there are good people working there but in the end I feel as though the dealership did what one would expect in the dealership game, take your money and move you along. I have bought a few cars there over the years always thinking I would not experience such a situation but from my perspective now their selling cars and I can go anywhere for that. read more

We purchased a used Chevy Bolt from GP Automotive at a non-negotiated market price a few weeks ago. We were replacing our Spark EV. Grants Pass Automotive offered us $7500 for the trade in. I wanted to try selling privately, since all the listed prices were multiple thousands higher. The sales folks told us the $7500 offer would "probably" be good for a few weeks. About three weeks later with no viable offers (near Christmas) we decided to go back to GP Automotive. Their offer had become $5000. We accepted, but we will never buy from this dealer again. A sad example of the fact that you simply cannot trust oral agreements with (most) car dealers. They did not outright lie, with their wiggle word "probably", but this is unethical treatment in my opinion. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO GRANTS PASS NISSAN TO BE SERVICED YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF AND LIED TOO! brought my car in for 90,000 mile service was over charged way overcharged for an oil change cabin filters fuel service and alignment paid 560 for that then had brakes done and new battery totaling 1164 dollars when my car was finished I took over to Les swab for 4 new tires well my car was still pulling hard to the right so alignment wasn't even done I paid 1164 dollars and they didn't do the alignment so I had to drive on brand new tires for 2 days with my car wearing on new tire's unaligned took it back and it was so far from aligned it was gross they realigned it and test drove my car dropped it off with full tank and they used a quarter tank of gas test driving it NO WAY never apologized never compensated me for not doing right first time or new tires wearing uneven nothing then used quarter tank of gas!!!! So did they even do other work correctly I paid for 1164 dollars !!! And the first time we used this service I had my daughters car in paid 160 for a inspection on car and they said her brakes were in the green etc but the paperwork had tire tread remaining under brake pad section so they never did 160 inspection right because her brakes went out on her two days later this place can't be trusted to service your investment they rip people off charge for work they don't do and even over charge you for work they claim to do but don't DONT TRUST THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT ITS A SCAM read more
