Went here for the 1st time tonight. Got a pizza, salad and cheese sticks. Food was great! Coming back 100%.

Probably the best pizza in Detroit. There must be a half pound of chunky sausage on this pizza. The crust is wonderful. The pizza is off the cover of a Martha Stewart magazine. There was a problem with delivery and the manager made it right. Recommend carry out for now since there is no way to talk to a human at the store in case of a problem. read more

We've had their pizzas many times now and it's always been very good, cooked to perfection! We were always going to our regular go to place, after seeing the positive reviews thought we would take a chance and try something different and we're very happy we did! We like the system they have of ordering online and being able to see where they're at in the process of making the pizza so we know when it's ready to pick it up. I moved to Rochester about a year ago. Found Grant's pizza to be delivered and found it to be OK pizza. Not great, but its hard to F up a pizza... Long/short, I went to pick up last week and was VERY discerned by what I saw. First, and foremost, when I walked in the door I heard a voice violently scream to "stop taking orders" while other chaos seemed to ensue. I was greeted by a young man who seemed terrified to be there, and asked if I'm picking up. I calmly told him I was, and when he asked for my name/order number, a long-haired- homeless-type man with chili pepper pajamas or something said that it'll "BE ABOUT 7 MINUTES" with a lot of intensity. I paid, and waited. It was not seven minutes. They told me they would throw some extra cookies or whatever in my order, but the entire time I couldn't get over this homeless dude making pizzas. WTF is going on here??? I know Rochester isn't the cleanest, but my dude you're literally a block from Hungry Howies, and they don't have homeless guys looking like junkie-roadies from Warrant! I don't think I'll be back after seeing such a vulgar display of agression, and a dope-hat behind the line. Do BETTER GRANTS! read more

I ordered from Grant's tonight. One large Dragonscale. The website quoted 50-60 minutes delivery time. Pizza arrived late (80 minutes); Cold, disappointing and overly expensive (more than $36 including mandatory pre-paid tip). I ordered from Grant's because I thought they were the best and I wanted a treat. Next time I want a treat, I will order from Green Lantern and save a few dollars. read more

This place is a hidden gem in Rochester...just north of downtown. Got carry out for the first time yesterday, will definitely be back for more. The crust was the perfect balance of crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. The sauce is thick and delicious. The best part, I ordered a 3 meat pizza (old fashioned pepperoni, bacon and ham)...no grease at all. The everything bagel breadsticks were great. My wife got the margarita pizza and loved it. I live 13 minutes from the location, they are on Rochester Rd I'm off Adams Rd, and they tell me I'm just outside their delivery zone. I love places named after someone, especially first names. Grant seems like a nice guy, spreading everything bagel spice on bread, making yum yum cookies, and good pizza. Grant also is a certified genius, can recite the quadratic equation on command, quote French poetry, solve the grandfather paradox, and still have time to play ping pong. I wanted to give this place five stars alone just for the cheesy bread. Perfectly crusted, doughy, and sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning--I was in cheesy bread heaven! You see a lot of creative choices made in their pies as well, but some really don't pay off. We ordered the Veggie Bliss pizza and this was a definite miss. It came with an abundance of toppings but odd choices were made in the creation. For example, the spinach wasn't cooked. Instead, an entire box was thrown on top before being boxed up and delivered to us. And the mushrooms--my goodness, they must have put two whole cans on there! I ate maybe half a slice, the overdose of ingredients made the whole pizza inedible. I think if they cut back on toppings or prepared them properly, it would be THE pizza place of Rochester. Will go again to get their bread, but probably not much else. read more

This pizza did not hit the spot. It left me disappointed. I had high expectations because the restaurant's website description for each pizza is so eloquently worded. It convinced me this pizza had to be good. But after receiving the pizza, I learned it was more puffery than anything else. My delivery order: - Veggie Bliss (signature pizza) - Peach and Pecan (signature pizza) - Parmesan Romano Blend (Artisan Breadsticks) - Everything Bagel (Artisan Breadsticks) - The Delightful (salad) - Chocolate Chip Cookie (one comes free with every pizza) Both pizzas were dry and the dough was tough like how a day old hot and ready would be. The crust was so tough that even if I had pizza sauce to dip it in, it still would not have been enjoyable. The Peach and Pecan pizza was most disappointing to me between the two pizzas. The restaurant's description starts by stating "foodies agree that Peach & Pecan is a pizza worth exploring". Well, I strongly disagree. The flavor was strongly overpowered by the pecans to the point that the rest of the pizza's flavor was bland and dry. Perhaps if the pecans were crushed it would give a better balance and blend with the other flavors/toppings. Shockingly the breadsticks were not dry like the pizzas were. Although the Everything Bagel was good, I preferred the Parmesan Romano Blend merely because of the cheesy blend. The salad was enjoyable too. I modified mine to add chicken to it, and I would do it again. It was a flavorful blend for a salad that I had not experienced before. It is hard for me to pass up a cookie. But this one I would pass up. It was too crunchy of a chocolate chip cookie. I prefer a softer cookie (in general). Those who like crunchy cookies, you will more than likely like the one offered here. Overall, my experience with Grant's Pizza House was not satisfactory as a result of disappointment in both pizzas. Fresh pizza should not have the dough quality of leftover pizza. Although I did enjoy the breadsticks and salad, it is difficult to make a recommendation to a pizza restaurant when the pizza itself was not satisfactory. read more

Pizza was barely warm when we picked it up and we were 25 minutes early. The "tracking app" said our pizza was still being made as we were driving home. Glad we didn't show up on time . Excellent pizza. The manager exercised care when selecting carry out box and center anti-collapse device. Pizza travels well. The crust with butter garlic topping was flavorful and not to heavy. The toppings were fresh and in delicious combinations. This was my first time having fresh spinach on a pizza. I am in love. The Dragonscale side did not disappoint. Seriously good pizza. First thought- not as big as 112 Pizzeria Bistro, a definite favorite in Rochester Hills. But, the sauce is great and the crust flavor and way it's cooked is perfect. I found myself eating 5 slices and wanting mote. Always a good sign. Love the everything but the bagel style crust. Best of all toppings are plentiful. Goat cheese was great, fresh mozzarella combined for awesome flavor. I give this 4.7 out of 5. Here is the best though, they bring it out to you on carry out so you don't need to go in. Signs easily readable telling you they will come out to your car. Didn't even have to call. Great experience overall. Kind of pricey for sure for $25 for large with 2 toppings and tip. For this reason, comparable to 112 bistro pizza but closer for me which is a good thing. read more

Love, love, love Grant's. I don't tend towards the signature pizzas as I'm particular about what I do like on pizza, but the combos they do offer are intriguing. The byo pizza is consistently delicious; I've not had an issue with it. The breadsticks are also on point. I've tried the everything bagel seasoning ones and I thought they were okay...I guess I just prefer the cheesy ones. Their homemade ranch is divine. Something I haven't seen talked about is the wings. I've gotten them a couple of times (buffalo sauce + blue cheese dressing) and they're also quite good. Personally, I am a fan of a softer cookie, but I think the cookie that comes with the pizza is perfectly acceptable. It's not dry/rock hard, it's just slightly firmer than I would bake for myself. read more

Love this place, it's a big treat when we get it. It's kinda hidden in downtown Rochester but totally worth the find. We usually get the dragonscale pizza and northhill ranch pizza. The dragonscale is packed with old fashioned pepperoni and is surprisingly not overly greasy. My husband loves it. Northhill ranch has fresh spinach and the spinach does not overpower the other ingredients. You can tell the ingredients used here are fresh. Everything bagel bread is really good, I'd say just the right amount of seasoning. The crust and bread is a great chewy crunchy bite, not tough at all. The homemade ranch is so tangy and delicious. We chose to try out Grant's on a complete whim last week b/c I saw a Google ad for their location near me. Knowing how tough the local businesses have had it lately I decided to try them b/c of the extra effort of putting out an ad entails. Needless to say I think we found our new reg pizza place. The pizza was DELIVERED super fast. It wasn't super greasy, the crust was super flavorful, and the toppings were generous. The cheese bread was also amazing and full of flavor without upsetting our stomachs. Usually the better tasting a pizza is, the greasier it is, and the more likely I am to feeling like poo after. But Grant's was just delicious. They also had a quick follow up the next day via email for 20% off our next online order. I will be using that coupon very soon. I stopped in after an appointment in the area. I don't live close by so I make it a point to get a pepperoni pizza when I am in the neighborhood. What I like the most are the crust, which tastes so fresh that a bakery would be envious, and the thin sliced crispy pepperoni. Then you get a chocolate chip cookie! Also fresh, mind you.
