Beautiful park! However, I passed the entrance twice and it's a 7 min turn around to get back. ITS DOWN THE DEAD-END half way down the HY145 ramp, super confusing to get inside. It was our first time there and will will be returning frequently. It's a unique park due to the creek and my dog really likes it, it's a nice treat before bath day for my pup. I would watch the weather because after storms some of the trails flood. I had a hard time finding the way back to the parking lot yesterday after a wrong turn and would appreciate some signs pointing you in direction of parking lot, it seems like over time with traffic new paths were created that make the park confusing to navigate which caused me some stress because no one else was at the park at around 6:30 pm when I was trying to leave and my phone was broken. Trails are slippery when muddy, wish paths had surface material like wood planks or pavers installed for safety. With flooding and poor path conditions you should leave phone and other devices you don't want to get water on in car, learned that the hard way on last trip. read more

My dogs and I had a great time! Lots of room to run and explore! With the trees and hills it didn't feel so cold out! There were a few dogs to play with but when there weren't any the dogs still didn't get bored! read more

I feel like either you will really like this dog park, or you really won't. First, it's probably best to go to their site and pull directions from there for your first visit as it's a bit tucked away (though right off the freeway, getting there is just a bit wonky). Second, it's "mostly" fenced in, which makes me a bit nervous. I think the only unfenced part is along the river so YMMV depending on if your dog is a swimmer or not. If they are, be prepared for a wet dog and bring towels for after. The park is all wooded with trails that wind along the river. Be aware that the trails are not woodchipped or graveled (except for the very beginning) so things get VERY muddy. On our visit, I went ankle deep in some mud and almost lost a boot - bring boots or shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Also, because it's in the woods the bugs are terrible, so plan on spraying down beforehand. There is a small "agility" area that is pretty well broken down - some of the items had broken wood/boards which isn't safe at all. If they don't plan to maintain it, it should really be removed altogether before someone's dog gets hurt. Overall, I really like the "trail" design - it's unique among MKE's dog parks for sure. I'm not a huge fan of deep mud and broken, unsafe stuff though. With a little regular maintenance, this park would be a lot better. read more

Very nice park with plenty of trails and swimming. Don't complain about burs and mosquitoes it's Wisconsin and it's outdoors. If your looking for an indoor Astroturf park, this is not the place and you shouldn't have a dog. read more

Granville dog park is a hidden gem. The terrain that lay hidden here is stellar for dogs exercising and romping around. There is a river that runs through the back area that is perfect for Ralph to run through. The hill that sets in the middle is steep and provides perfect terrain for any dog to run up and down and tucker themselves right out. So glad we found this place and we will be enjoying hiking through here time and time again. Ralph was ecstatic as he ran around in the water, through the woods, and frolicked with any dog he could find. Bring a towel when you come cause if you've got a dog that loves to play they will get dirty. We were frequent at Mequon but I think this will be our new go to. read more

Warning - This dog park is not fenced in all the way around. So just be cautious if your dog is a runner. This is not like your typical dog park - a fenced in field. It's a huge area with tons of trees, trails and hills. It also gets VERY muddy, so make sure to bring boots if it has rained. We had a lot of trouble finding this place too - we aren't from the area so I can't even remember how we got there but I know I googled it! Have fun! read more

This dog park makes my dog so happy! We love coming here. I specially love that it's all wooded and trailed so it's not a traditional square fenced dog park. And the dogs can go swimming if they want in the Menomonee river. Be warned its not 100% fenced in. If your dog has a great recall I still wouldn't take them off there leash. Unless your dog has an excellent recall then you can trust your dog with no lead. My husky mix has an awesome recall. But if sees a bird or a dog he's gone. So he's kept on a long 30ft waterproof leash at all times for his safely. Also hard to find the park, if you miss the turn you have to go on the freeway for a few miles then get off and turn around. So watch where you're driving if it's your first time coming. read more

This park is full of burdock plants right along the path. Not only that, but the mosquitoes are out for blood. So if you love taking Benadryl and pulling burrs out of your dog, you'll love this park. read more

Great place to wander through the woods with your pup. Not your typical dog park. The place is completely wooded with a river running through it. The trails are not maintained with gravel or chips so it does tend to be muddy for several days after a rain. No big open areas for playing with other dogs or owner socializing. A nice big hill to climb with a view over treetops. Only a very small parking area. And it is definitely hard to find the entrance the first time you go. Use google maps to avoid a several mile detour. Hint: Enter via Park Place. read more

This place was so difficult to find. It's ridiculous! I noticed Yelp does not have the actual numerical address associate with the park. Type in 1175 W Fond Du Lac Ave into your gps and you should find it quite easily. I'll have to update my review once we actually do some exploring but again, this place was not easy to find. My review stands as it were before. This place appears neglected and it's sad to see. Dog poop was found all over the trails, the "agility" area is run-down. I would never feel safe letting my dog use any of the equipment. Poop bag stands were empty. People failed to maintain control of their dogs. We won't be back. read more

Fun park if you're wanting woodsy trails to walk along with your dogs. Keep in mind it is not a fenced in area. The trails were beautiful but seem to always be bit muddy, so be prepared for muddy paws! Definitely look up how to get to the parking area so you don't get lost trying to find it. read more

This place has the potential to be a great dog park. I've only been bringing my dog here for a few months now but because of its tucked away location, I've never seen more than 3-4 cars in the parking lot. The wooded trails are great because I get almost as much exercise as my dog and I can see my dog loving the river once the weather gets a little warmer. I could not give this place 5 stars though because of the poop situation. It seems that people are not picking up after their dog as much as at other dog parks I've been to. On more than one occasion I've also seen the poop bag dispensers empty and the garbage cans overflowing. A little maintenance could go a long ways at this dog park. read more

A hidden gem (Literally. It took me 45 minutes just to find it!). This park is well-kept, and it's off the beaten path enough where it's usually not crowded (probably because nobody can find it....). There are rest stations with picnic tables and plastic bag dispensers so that you can pick up after your dog. There is also an area with agility equipment! There are beautiful trails, hills, a river for the dogs to play in, and it's big enough that you're not running into 50 dogs every 4 minutes. I dislike dog parks that look like a fenced-in playground at recess --tons of dogs milling around and nowhere to have a little quiet time. Granville Dog Park is just about perfect for us! Please note that this is only partially fenced in, and there are plenty of woods your dog can disappear into, so your dog should have a pretty solid recall if off-leash. read more

Our dog loves to romp here, rain or shine! I have noticed people don't like to clean up after their dogs, and the agility area is a joke, but the open feel and the opportunity for my pup to run herself out is worth the few lackluster aspects of the place. read more
