Gracie Jiu-Jitsu HB located off Hamilton/Brookhurst in the Trader Joe's shopping center is very easy to find next to Bo's Bagel & Coffee with plenty of parking. The studio itself is very clean (highly critical) is a bit small, but it surprisingly has enough room to practice the combatives. Coach Carlos & his team are very passionate, knowledgeable, dedicated and kind and have so much patience with newcomers. I immediately felt welcome and excited to learn the many techniques without any fear. There is a variety of classes & times offered for both seeking adults or for children and even a self defense class strictly for women called Women Empowered. Whether you've tried martial arts previously or not, I feel Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is structured so well that you cannot fail to embrace it.
