Absolutely loved this place! I wanted Italian food and my husband knows I love trying new places. He found this one right near our house. We had no idea. It is hidden away in a plaza in Altamonte Springs and it was so worth it. The food was hot, fresh, flavorful, and delicious!!!! Large servings as well so we had leftovers to enjoy the next day. The service was great! Very attentive. We even saw the owner making his rounds and greeting people. The inside was small but it was clean and just what you'd want from a small Italian place. We will absolutely be returning.

Arrived here around 5pm and were seated right away. Kim came to greet us and she was very kind to us. The kids were upset and hangry and she was very patient with us. We ordered the gnocchi, fries, the stuffed chicken special and the salmon piccata. The pastas are not freshly made in house due to space and time, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pasta fagiole soup was flavorful and delicious. They brought bread out with pesto and that was pretty good too! For dessert we had a cannoli and the tiramisu. They were both excellent! This was a last minute decision to eat here and I was very skeptical! My husband had been here before with a client and had rave reviews. I was very happy with my meal and the sauces are from scratch she said. I need to talk about the seasoning for the fries. I have no clue what it is, but I need a whole bottle of it! It's salt, pepper and garlic and it's amazing on those steak fries! Kim was very patient and kind to us. She really is the reason for the five stars and I will be back! The restaurant was clean and so were the restrooms. I had not seen reviews before I came, but I see why now.

Exceptional service. Couldn't speak higher of the staff. It was a small, well functioning, local Italian spot. There was perpetually a line out the door to get a table, that did not dissuade people, they came in droves. We had the eggplant, caper appetizer (almost my favorite thing on our table), side of meatballs, a Caesar, a house salad, olio e aglio, and chicken parmesan. It was delicious! We will come back and while we wait, go back to the small international market in the same strip.

This is the hole in the wall Italian spot you're looking for! This spot is very unassuming from the outside but the food is amazing and staff are always so kind. I came for lunch with a friend and wanted something a bit lighter so I opted for the Nonno's Combo. It was good, but I do think they shine more with their pasta options. I ended with a slice of their limoncello cake based on our server's recommendation and she was spot on. Also any time you visit be sure to get the bread and pesto- that alone will have you coming back!

Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Our server, Hannah, was attentive and made some great suggestions. The food! Everything felt like it was made with Amore! Do Not Miss Trying the Pesto! We ate too quickly to photograph, but all dishes were a good size portion and just Delicious. Not one disappointing dish. The time we visited was great. Not too crowded or busy, but still doing brisk business at 230pm. Seven booths, with seating for four, are available. Plenty of space to move about and not feel too crowded. Also, two gender neutral restrooms are available. Everything was clean and tidy. We

This place deserves more than 5 stars! I had the best meal here the other night and can't wait to share with family and friends to come visit for themselves. After we were turned away from another restaurant for not having a reservation, my friend and I had to think fast about where to eat at now. Up the road Google showed an Italian restaurant and we were like "why not, let's give it a try." The hostesses were very welcoming and took my number for our 30 minute wait. The place was busy which to us was a good sign. The restaurant sits in an underwhelming plaza but that is not the case for the inside. The inside really feels like you are in Sicily. There is many tables and booths with a decent size bar. We waited just short of 30 minutes and were seated. Our server was so kind and also welcoming. The glass of Pinot Noir I ordered was perfection. Bread was brought to the table with this basil pesto sauce. This sauce was AMAZING. I wish I had a whole jar of this to have at home. The calamari was the best I've ever had. It was very tender with a thin amount of breading that was crispy. The red sauce was flavorful for dipping. The house salad with the house vinaigrette was divine and fresh. I ordered the bolognese with spaghetti pasta. The pasta was fresh tasting and so much meat sauce. The dish was to die for. I had leftovers and made 3 meals out of this meal. A sweet lady working there even brought me aluminum foil to wrap my bread to take home with a side of the pesto sauce which I savored. I cannot wait to come back and bring my Italian food loving friends!

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! My husband and I absolutely LOVE this hidden gem. As an Italian, I really value quality Italian food done well. This place surpasses expectations. The food is stellar- my new favorite Italian spot in Orlando. So much better than the overpriced trendy spots with small portions and mid grade food; you will have lots of delicious leftovers here! Not to mention, their bread with homemade pesto is to die for As far as ambience goes, I highly value the comfortable, family feel. The owner and chef, Steffano, came out to shake our hands and introduce himself to us. You could tell he loves his job and takes great pride in the excellence of his food and the overall experience. Our servers are always great. You'll feel right at home here, like someone's Nonna invited you over for an incredible dinner! You've got to try this place!

My husband and I love Nonno's! We've been twice now and each time was a wonderful experience. The staff are always incredibly friendly and give great recommendations. They serve you quickly and very attentively. The restaurant has booths and tables for seating and is decorated very warmly inside. The food is incredible, I love their Alfredo especially, but we also always enjoy the soups that the chef makes (when picking between soup or salad always go soup it's so good), and their free bread and pesto that starts your meal is amazing. We're already planning our next date night there!

We went to Nonno's craving pasta and we did not leave disappointed! I had the tortellini alla Panna and it was perfectly creamy and flavorful. The prosciutto ties the dish together. When we were seated we were able to notice the atmosphere was welcoming. At the bar, the waiters chatted with regulars and the vibes were very friendly. Definitely will be returning!

My wife and I prefer celebrating Valentine's Day early so as to not have to deal with the faint influx of diners the day of. We arrived at Nonno's on a packed Thursday night around 7:30, and were fortunate enough to be seated immediately at the bar top. We enjoyed the Caesar and antipasto salads, as well as the calamari appetizer. Entrees consisted of the Lasagna and tiramisu for dessert. We loved it and will definitely be back! Food: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Service: 9/10

My in laws have raved about Nonno's for years and I was finally able to give it a try! We arrived around 5:45pm on a Wednesday night and had no wait for a party of 3. Though while we were eating, a wait was beginning to form for a table. There's not a ton of seating and it's a popular place! Everyone is served bread and their signature pesto to dip, which was delicious. All meals are served with either a house salad, Caesar salad, or soup of the day. I enjoyed the Caesar salad very much. For an entree, I had a special dish that was being served. I can't recall the exact name, but it was perhaps mahi piccata. I was able to sub the asparagus for zucchini. So delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meals and is already looking forward to dining again!

Where do I begin!! I'm an avid Italian food lover and here is the place to go. I've been here only a handful of times as this places is quite far from me but whenever i'm on that side of town I make sure to stop by and grab a bite. This place is the most authentic tasting, feeling, Italian place ever! My friend (who's Italian) throughly enjoys this places as well. Portions are greatly sized (always taking soothing home in a to-go box) and the owner makes you feel like you're right at home. Amazing service and place to grab authentic Italian food.

We came in for lunch and had a great experience! The restaurant was clean. Service was excellent and the food was fantastic. To start, we had fresh bread which came with a zesty creamy dipping sauce. For an appetizer, we got the calamari and the bruschetta. The calamari was tender, crisp, and flavorful. The bruschetta was herby and refreshing. I had a side Caesar with my entree and it was fresh and well dressed. For my entree, I got the gnocchi in pink sauce with shrimp. The gnocchi were pillow soft and perfectly cooked. The sauce was rich and flavorful. The shrimp were big and perfectly cooked. The portions were a good size for the price. Everything was excellent!

A small venue where the interior is warmly Italian and the food is authentically satisfying.

The skimpy amount of seafood I got was not good, not cooked well, or served with undercooked potatoes. It shook me. Especially for a Winter Park restaurant. After my five year statute of limitations passed on repeating restaurants, I looked for the perfect opportunity to come back and try again. I found that opportunity recently with a few friends for brunch. Their brunch menu looked amazing, so we made our reservation and came on by. Ambiance is actually really nice. Right off one of the main WP roads, gigantic windows look out upon the street as passersby roam from shop to shop. Inside looks like an ocean-side sea shack, but an upper middle class one. Very nice little ocean-themed chotchkies adorn the walls, very cozy. Service was also great. Very nice server, very prompt food delivery, and they gave complimentary bread with a delightful butter. I always adore free bread. We started off sharing the Seafood Fritters (Four savory puppies, stuffed with lobster, shrimp, scallops, clams, grouper, onions, corn, poblano peppers, served with a zesty tartar sauce). If all five of those seafoods really were in there, there must have been only a few molecules each, but there was undoubtedly flavors from most of that list, and they were accentuated with the poblano. Topped with that zesty tartar, and this was an A+ app. I had the Lobster Benedict Royale (Chunks of Maine lobster on fried green tomatoes & house-baked buttermilk biscuits, topped with poached eggs & Hollandaise, sprinkled with paprika & chopped green onions). This was indulgent. Pure luxury. A warm biscuit with a good flakiness, that fried green tomato with the perfect thickness and thin, delicate coating, and those perfectly cooked jumbo chunks of lobster on top, all covered in an unctuous Hollandaise. Exactly as it sounds, as advertised, the perfect seafood brunch item. I also got to try the Shrimp Frittata (Wild-caught Florida shrimp, fresh eggs, spinach, Campari tomatoes, goat cheese, caramelized onions, baked in a cast-iron skillet, with wheat toast, butter & a little mixed green salad). This was a fun dish. Good shrimps, well-cooked eggs, a nice tang from that goat, and of course a nice crunchy toast to help make it even more interesting. I didn't like that random salad on the side. Just get bigger cast irons and make the frittata bigger. Overall, what a redemption. I'm not sure what was wrong back in the day, but this is a five star place now that I will happily return to when it's time.

The sides were just as good paired with the fish perfectly. I also had a tasty little side Caesar salad. My sister started with the clam chowder, which she thought was a little spicy but good. I had a small Caesars salad. For the entree my sister ordered one snow crab cluster which I know for a fact their market price was high, also they don't offer them in any kind of seasoning. Putting Old Bay on them just makes the shell spicy. I ordered the 15 reds, which are peel and eat shrimp. They were great, cooked perfectly. We ordered the hush puppies 3 count, now this was a problem because first they should never be that big and on the oily side to me. Problems I noticed, some of the wait staff is not that friendly also most of the staff serving food without gloves. A young man brought a bowl of food to a customer with his thumb on the rim, gross. This is my major complaint and take away that confirms I won't be back. There are two prices listed on the menu, one if you pay in cash and a higher price if you use a card. That is unacceptable, because some places will state that there will be a percentage up charge , not for every item. The place was somewhat busy when we arrived, but it was a constant flow of traffic, because they also have a seafood market inside to buy your own. I wasn't noisy at all when we went, not sure what it's like later in the evening. My personal takeaway is it's a nice enjoyable place for the locals, but if you're looking flavorful seafood, look further.

Overall I think this place has potential but I was a little disappointed that I couldn't try the appetizers since they weren't available. I'd maybe try it again but it was also about 40 minutes away so indecisive.
