For some hearty authentic Italian food, Nono's is always our go to. The staff is so friendly and nice. They remember their repeat customers, which are a lot of them. The food is just so delicious, I have loved everything I've ever tried here. I always start with a side Caesar salad. I love their homemade Caesar dressing. Their homemade croutons are addictive. I sometimes ask for extra just because I love crunching into them. Tonight I got the gnocchi alla vodka and added meatballs. Those meatballs are so big, they are a meal in themselves. The vodka sauce is definitely one of my favorites around. So creamy and has a lot of flavor. The gnocchi were tender and I couldn't stop popping them in my mouth. We enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner, which helps complete the Italian atmosphere. Surrounded by good friends, delicious wine and great tasting food, what more could you want?!

Tonight was check-in 239 and the food , the family atmosphere and the total experience is the best. I have never had a dish that wasn't great! Everything is consistent and we have enjoyed Stefano and his family's food for 25 years or more. REAL ITALIAN/SICILIAN! Simply the best! The service is always great for us! Go here!

I came here with some coworkers after work. I hadn't really ever heard of Nonno's, but someone else did, and I love local recs, so off we went. Ambiance was really nice. Very old-world-Italian-esque. We got seated in a nice corner and got started. I started off with an order of Bruschetta (Toasted bread topped with marinated tomatoes, garlic, basil & a sprinkle of shredded Parmesan) for the table. These were the best I've ever had. Nice, thicc chunks of toast that were actual toast and not just crackers. Also, the pieces of tomato were multicolored and very well coated with that garlic, basil, and Parm. Seriously, the best I've had. Very good stuff. For my main, I had the Veal and Shrimp Parmesan (A classic surf and turf: Breaded shrimp & veal, lightly fried, topped with marinara and baked with melted mozzarella). Wow. This thing was a spectacle. The veal and shrimps were very well pounded thin and very nicely coated with a seasoned breadcrumb mixture. Fried crispy, tasty marinara, tasty melted mozz. Just another great dish. Overall, if you specialize in national chain Italian places, definitely step outside of your comfort zone and come to mom 'n' pop places like this. The quality different is astounding. I loved it here. I'd come back.

Nonno's is definitely one of my favorites in town. Their complimentary bread with pesto alone is worth the trip out to Altamonte Springs. They now started selling it by the jar to take home! We started with calamari and mozzarella sticks, for the main, my husband always orders the tortellini di leo and I had the carbonara. All of the dishes were so flavorful and portions are large. One thing to note is that they don't take reservations, so expect a wait if you go around their peak dinner time (around 6pm). Worth the wait though!

Best Italian food I've ever had! Ambience is quaint, cozy and fun! Service excellent and all dishes at the table were perfect! Went there on a Friday night and the owner came to our table and was very friendly!

Absolutely loved this place! I wanted Italian food and my husband knows I love trying new places. He found this one right near our house. We had no idea. It is hidden away in a plaza in Altamonte Springs and it was so worth it. The food was hot, fresh, flavorful, and delicious!!!! Large servings as well so we had leftovers to enjoy the next day. The service was great! Very attentive. We even saw the owner making his rounds and greeting people. The inside was small but it was clean and just what you'd want from a small Italian place. We will absolutely be returning.

Arrived here around 5pm and were seated right away. Kim came to greet us and she was very kind to us. The kids were upset and hangry and she was very patient with us. We ordered the gnocchi, fries, the stuffed chicken special and the salmon piccata. The pastas are not freshly made in house due to space and time, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pasta fagiole soup was flavorful and delicious. They brought bread out with pesto and that was pretty good too! For dessert we had a cannoli and the tiramisu. They were both excellent! This was a last minute decision to eat here and I was very skeptical! My husband had been here before with a client and had rave reviews. I was very happy with my meal and the sauces are from scratch she said. I need to talk about the seasoning for the fries. I have no clue what it is, but I need a whole bottle of it! It's salt, pepper and garlic and it's amazing on those steak fries! Kim was very patient and kind to us. She really is the reason for the five stars and I will be back! The restaurant was clean and so were the restrooms. I had not seen reviews before I came, but I see why now.

Exceptional service. Couldn't speak higher of the staff. It was a small, well functioning, local Italian spot. There was perpetually a line out the door to get a table, that did not dissuade people, they came in droves. We had the eggplant, caper appetizer (almost my favorite thing on our table), side of meatballs, a Caesar, a house salad, olio e aglio, and chicken parmesan. It was delicious! We will come back and while we wait, go back to the small international market in the same strip.

This is the hole in the wall Italian spot you're looking for! This spot is very unassuming from the outside but the food is amazing and staff are always so kind. I came for lunch with a friend and wanted something a bit lighter so I opted for the Nonno's Combo. It was good, but I do think they shine more with their pasta options. I ended with a slice of their limoncello cake based on our server's recommendation and she was spot on. Also any time you visit be sure to get the bread and pesto- that alone will have you coming back!

This place deserves more than 5 stars! I had the best meal here the other night and can't wait to share with family and friends to come visit for themselves. After we were turned away from another restaurant for not having a reservation, my friend and I had to think fast about where to eat at now. Up the road Google showed an Italian restaurant and we were like "why not, let's give it a try." The hostesses were very welcoming and took my number for our 30 minute wait. The place was busy which to us was a good sign. The restaurant sits in an underwhelming plaza but that is not the case for the inside. The inside really feels like you are in Sicily. There is many tables and booths with a decent size bar. We waited just short of 30 minutes and were seated. Our server was so kind and also welcoming. The glass of Pinot Noir I ordered was perfection. Bread was brought to the table with this basil pesto sauce. This sauce was AMAZING. I wish I had a whole jar of this to have at home. The calamari was the best I've ever had. It was very tender with a thin amount of breading that was crispy. The red sauce was flavorful for dipping. The house salad with the house vinaigrette was divine and fresh. I ordered the bolognese with spaghetti pasta. The pasta was fresh tasting and so much meat sauce. The dish was to die for. I had leftovers and made 3 meals out of this meal. A sweet lady working there even brought me aluminum foil to wrap my bread to take home with a side of the pesto sauce which I savored. I cannot wait to come back and bring my Italian food loving friends!

Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Our server, Hannah, was attentive and made some great suggestions. The food! Everything felt like it was made with Amore! Do Not Miss Trying the Pesto! We ate too quickly to photograph, but all dishes were a good size portion and just Delicious. Not one disappointing dish. The time we visited was great. Not too crowded or busy, but still doing brisk business at 230pm. Seven booths, with seating for four, are available. Plenty of space to move about and not feel too crowded. Also, two gender neutral restrooms are available. Everything was clean and tidy. We

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! My husband and I absolutely LOVE this hidden gem. As an Italian, I really value quality Italian food done well. This place surpasses expectations. The food is stellar- my new favorite Italian spot in Orlando. So much better than the overpriced trendy spots with small portions and mid grade food; you will have lots of delicious leftovers here! Not to mention, their bread with homemade pesto is to die for As far as ambience goes, I highly value the comfortable, family feel. The owner and chef, Steffano, came out to shake our hands and introduce himself to us. You could tell he loves his job and takes great pride in the excellence of his food and the overall experience. Our servers are always great. You'll feel right at home here, like someone's Nonna invited you over for an incredible dinner! You've got to try this place!

My husband and I love Nonno's! We've been twice now and each time was a wonderful experience. The staff are always incredibly friendly and give great recommendations. They serve you quickly and very attentively. The restaurant has booths and tables for seating and is decorated very warmly inside. The food is incredible, I love their Alfredo especially, but we also always enjoy the soups that the chef makes (when picking between soup or salad always go soup it's so good), and their free bread and pesto that starts your meal is amazing. We're already planning our next date night there!

From the host to our server m, we couldn't ask for a better service encounter. It was busy and after 830p (they close at 10). I'm usually against late night dinning that close to closing because it's usually not a good experience. Glad to be proven wrong in this case. We got the boudin rolls to start to go along with The Jefferson and the Jackson Square Spritz (all pictured well most of the boudin got devoured). Word to the wise, if you getting the full portion Po Boys, you better be hungry cuz them things will feed an army. Food was delicious. We had the Fried catfish and crawfish basket, and the Walter's Spicy Southern Club, and the lil one had the fried shrimp and fries (she's a picky eater and she loved the shrimp). For dessert I had a Sazerac . Stop in and have yourself a taste of NOLA.

This restaurant is located in Altamonte, right within a strip mall, and has plenty of surrounding parking for easy access. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated immediately. The interior was so whimsical and made you feel like you were directly transported to the beautiful city of New Orleans, it was super cute and on theme. For food, we had ordered the fried gator bites and cajun shrimp appetizer. Both items were very tasty and a great size for sharing. Now when it came to my entree, I ordered the Rita's Chicken... which was the true star of the show. That dish was soo tasty, the chicken was nicely seasoned and tender, and the dirty rice was a great compliment to it. The dirty rice was a tad bit too soft for my own preference, but the flavor was definitely there! Now, we cannot forget about the drinks and beignets. For the drinks, I tried the signature old fashioned. It was nice and strong with notes of sweet praline. For dessert, we of course had to try the beignets... which were out of this world. It came out nice and warm, they were so delicious! As it pertains to the service... our server was so amazing. She was very patient and super attentive to our large party. We even had the assistant manager come by and introduce herself which I thought was very nice. I really enjoyed my first time at Tibby's and I will definitely be back soon to try the other things on the menu!

My sister started with the clam chowder, which she thought was a little spicy but good. I had a small Caesars salad. Putting Old Bay on them just makes the shell spicy. I ordered the 15 reds, which are peel and eat shrimp. They were great, cooked perfectly. We ordered the hush puppies 3 count, now this was a problem because first they should never be that big and on the oily side to me. Problems I noticed, some of the wait staff is not that friendly also most of the staff serving food without gloves. A young man brought a bowl of food to a customer with his thumb on the rim, gross. This is my major complaint and take away that confirms I won't be back. There are two prices listed on the menu, one if you pay in cash and a higher price if you use a card. That is unacceptable, because some places will state that there will be a percentage up charge , not for every item. The place was somewhat busy when we arrived, but it was a constant flow of traffic, because they also have a seafood market inside to buy your own. I wasn't noisy at all when we went, not sure what it's like later in the evening. My personal takeaway is it's a nice enjoyable place for the locals, but if you're looking flavorful seafood, look further.
