For some hearty authentic Italian food, Nono's is always our go to. The staff is so friendly and nice. They remember their repeat customers, which are a lot of them. The food is just so delicious, I have loved everything I've ever tried here. I always start with a side Caesar salad. I love their homemade Caesar dressing. Their homemade croutons are addictive. I sometimes ask for extra just because I love crunching into them. Tonight I got the gnocchi alla vodka and added meatballs. Those meatballs are so big, they are a meal in themselves. The vodka sauce is definitely one of my favorites around. So creamy and has a lot of flavor. The gnocchi were tender and I couldn't stop popping them in my mouth. We enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner, which helps complete the Italian atmosphere. Surrounded by good friends, delicious wine and great tasting food, what more could you want?!

Tonight was check-in 239 and the food , the family atmosphere and the total experience is the best. I have never had a dish that wasn't great! Everything is consistent and we have enjoyed Stefano and his family's food for 25 years or more. REAL ITALIAN/SICILIAN! Simply the best! The service is always great for us! Go here!

I came here with some coworkers after work. I hadn't really ever heard of Nonno's, but someone else did, and I love local recs, so off we went. Ambiance was really nice. Very old-world-Italian-esque. We got seated in a nice corner and got started. I started off with an order of Bruschetta (Toasted bread topped with marinated tomatoes, garlic, basil & a sprinkle of shredded Parmesan) for the table. These were the best I've ever had. Nice, thicc chunks of toast that were actual toast and not just crackers. Also, the pieces of tomato were multicolored and very well coated with that garlic, basil, and Parm. Seriously, the best I've had. Very good stuff. For my main, I had the Veal and Shrimp Parmesan (A classic surf and turf: Breaded shrimp & veal, lightly fried, topped with marinara and baked with melted mozzarella). Wow. This thing was a spectacle. The veal and shrimps were very well pounded thin and very nicely coated with a seasoned breadcrumb mixture. Fried crispy, tasty marinara, tasty melted mozz. Just another great dish. Overall, if you specialize in national chain Italian places, definitely step outside of your comfort zone and come to mom 'n' pop places like this. The quality different is astounding. I loved it here. I'd come back.

Nonno's is definitely one of my favorites in town. Their complimentary bread with pesto alone is worth the trip out to Altamonte Springs. They now started selling it by the jar to take home! We started with calamari and mozzarella sticks, for the main, my husband always orders the tortellini di leo and I had the carbonara. All of the dishes were so flavorful and portions are large. One thing to note is that they don't take reservations, so expect a wait if you go around their peak dinner time (around 6pm). Worth the wait though!

Best Italian food I've ever had! Ambience is quaint, cozy and fun! Service excellent and all dishes at the table were perfect! Went there on a Friday night and the owner came to our table and was very friendly!

Absolutely loved this place! I wanted Italian food and my husband knows I love trying new places. He found this one right near our house. We had no idea. It is hidden away in a plaza in Altamonte Springs and it was so worth it. The food was hot, fresh, flavorful, and delicious!!!! Large servings as well so we had leftovers to enjoy the next day. The service was great! Very attentive. We even saw the owner making his rounds and greeting people. The inside was small but it was clean and just what you'd want from a small Italian place. We will absolutely be returning.

Arrived here around 5pm and were seated right away. Kim came to greet us and she was very kind to us. The kids were upset and hangry and she was very patient with us. We ordered the gnocchi, fries, the stuffed chicken special and the salmon piccata. The pastas are not freshly made in house due to space and time, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pasta fagiole soup was flavorful and delicious. They brought bread out with pesto and that was pretty good too! For dessert we had a cannoli and the tiramisu. They were both excellent! This was a last minute decision to eat here and I was very skeptical! My husband had been here before with a client and had rave reviews. I was very happy with my meal and the sauces are from scratch she said. I need to talk about the seasoning for the fries. I have no clue what it is, but I need a whole bottle of it! It's salt, pepper and garlic and it's amazing on those steak fries! Kim was very patient and kind to us. She really is the reason for the five stars and I will be back! The restaurant was clean and so were the restrooms. I had not seen reviews before I came, but I see why now.

Exceptional service. Couldn't speak higher of the staff. It was a small, well functioning, local Italian spot. There was perpetually a line out the door to get a table, that did not dissuade people, they came in droves. We had the eggplant, caper appetizer (almost my favorite thing on our table), side of meatballs, a Caesar, a house salad, olio e aglio, and chicken parmesan. It was delicious! We will come back and while we wait, go back to the small international market in the same strip.

This is the hole in the wall Italian spot you're looking for! This spot is very unassuming from the outside but the food is amazing and staff are always so kind. I came for lunch with a friend and wanted something a bit lighter so I opted for the Nonno's Combo. It was good, but I do think they shine more with their pasta options. I ended with a slice of their limoncello cake based on our server's recommendation and she was spot on. Also any time you visit be sure to get the bread and pesto- that alone will have you coming back!

This place deserves more than 5 stars! I had the best meal here the other night and can't wait to share with family and friends to come visit for themselves. After we were turned away from another restaurant for not having a reservation, my friend and I had to think fast about where to eat at now. Up the road Google showed an Italian restaurant and we were like "why not, let's give it a try." The hostesses were very welcoming and took my number for our 30 minute wait. The place was busy which to us was a good sign. The restaurant sits in an underwhelming plaza but that is not the case for the inside. The inside really feels like you are in Sicily. There is many tables and booths with a decent size bar. We waited just short of 30 minutes and were seated. Our server was so kind and also welcoming. The glass of Pinot Noir I ordered was perfection. Bread was brought to the table with this basil pesto sauce. This sauce was AMAZING. I wish I had a whole jar of this to have at home. The calamari was the best I've ever had. It was very tender with a thin amount of breading that was crispy. The red sauce was flavorful for dipping. The house salad with the house vinaigrette was divine and fresh. I ordered the bolognese with spaghetti pasta. The pasta was fresh tasting and so much meat sauce. The dish was to die for. I had leftovers and made 3 meals out of this meal. A sweet lady working there even brought me aluminum foil to wrap my bread to take home with a side of the pesto sauce which I savored. I cannot wait to come back and bring my Italian food loving friends!

Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Our server, Hannah, was attentive and made some great suggestions. The food! Everything felt like it was made with Amore! Do Not Miss Trying the Pesto! We ate too quickly to photograph, but all dishes were a good size portion and just Delicious. Not one disappointing dish. The time we visited was great. Not too crowded or busy, but still doing brisk business at 230pm. Seven booths, with seating for four, are available. Plenty of space to move about and not feel too crowded. Also, two gender neutral restrooms are available. Everything was clean and tidy. We

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! My husband and I absolutely LOVE this hidden gem. As an Italian, I really value quality Italian food done well. This place surpasses expectations. The food is stellar- my new favorite Italian spot in Orlando. So much better than the overpriced trendy spots with small portions and mid grade food; you will have lots of delicious leftovers here! Not to mention, their bread with homemade pesto is to die for As far as ambience goes, I highly value the comfortable, family feel. The owner and chef, Steffano, came out to shake our hands and introduce himself to us. You could tell he loves his job and takes great pride in the excellence of his food and the overall experience. Our servers are always great. You'll feel right at home here, like someone's Nonna invited you over for an incredible dinner! You've got to try this place!

My husband and I love Nonno's! We've been twice now and each time was a wonderful experience. The staff are always incredibly friendly and give great recommendations. They serve you quickly and very attentively. The restaurant has booths and tables for seating and is decorated very warmly inside. The food is incredible, I love their Alfredo especially, but we also always enjoy the soups that the chef makes (when picking between soup or salad always go soup it's so good), and their free bread and pesto that starts your meal is amazing. We're already planning our next date night there!

I can no longer run over for produce or some proteins for dinner. I happily supported them over Publix for years. The shelving areas have been cut in half. The wine cooler is no more (granted it hasn't cooled properly in quite awhile). One of the best parts of Antonio's downstairs was being able to grab a bottle of reasonably priced wine with the $5 cork fee but the Prosecco we've enjoyed for years has increased over $5 a bottle plus that cork fee... not the deal we've had in the past. They did add a happy hour downstairs... that ends at 5pm. Catering to retirees maybe? The restaurant space is more open due to the downsizing of the market. The service is not the same though most of the staff seems happy to be there. I know things can't stay the same forever but super bummed about this one. I guess I should just be grateful for the years we had with the original.

A while back, when my teenagers were craving fast-food pizza, I insisted on taking them somewhere truly exceptional instead. Skeptical as any teenagers would be, they came along, and ended up absolutely loving it! Fast forward to my wife's birthday: when I asked the kids where they wanted to go celebrate, they answered at the same time, "Francesco's!" My wife and I had a great laugh and immediately agreed. It was actually her very first time dining here. From the moment we sat down, our server, Kevin, provided exceptional service. We started with the Gamberoni Siciliana; the shrimp was cooked to perfection and the sauce was rich and delicious. For main course, obviously, the kids ordered pizzas: a Carne Pazza and a classic Margherita. The crust at Francesco's is unbeatable; perfectly crunchy with that distinct, rich taste we all love. My wife ordered the Pollo Cacciatore, which was sophisticated and vibrant; you could instantly tell how fresh the ingredients were, right down to the olives, which were hands-down the freshest I've ever tasted. I had the Vitello Parmigiana, and the marinara sauce tasted genuinely like "la ricetta della nonna", you can feel the care and love in every bite. For dessert, I quietly asked Kevin to bring out the Profiteroles with a candle. The staff blew us away by presenting the dessert beautifully decorated with cream like a nice cake, bringing it to the table while singing "Tanti auguri a te." I am NOT joking when I say this was a 100/10. This completely stole my heart and honestly took me by surprise with how good it was. The combination of the sweet pear, creamy cheese, and pistachio was incredible. I went in not knowing what to expect and left thinking about this dish. True, I had the BITE30 menu on this most recent visit. The Italian Meatballs - 100% Beef hand rolled meatballs served in our from-scratch marinara and topped with house croutons and grated cheese to start were amazing. That's the same as what bite 30 offers but at a higher price point. Didn't seem right to me. There were 3 other tables while we were there.
