I had four UTVs and a generator that needed to be worked on. I reached out to Milton Mobile Mechanics, and I was immediately impressed with Jeremy. His communication regarding the work that I needed to be done was bar none. I have been in the service industry for over 25 years, and I cannot remember one person that is like Jeremy. He was very clear about the service he was going to provide, asked a lot of questions so that he was 100% prepared for the work he was coming to do, and all pricing and charges were conveyed up front. He suggested many things to me to help save me money, never an up sale on a service, it was all about me as the consumer. I am sorry, but it is VERY rare to find that these days. For example, I was going to pay with credit card so that he could get paid faster, since he is a small operation, that is important for cash flow. He told me twice that it was okay to write a check; please know I work for a large commercial outfit, checks can take up to two weeks to cut, and he was willing to wait for his money so that I could save the 3% service charge. Second, before he ever arrived, he wanted to make sure that he knew everything about the equipment he was coming to fix so that when he arrived, he had EVERYTHING he needed to complete the job, this prevents him having to run to the store to pick something up and have to come back. If the job took him longer (searching for parts, shopping for part, etc) that would have cost me more because I am paying for his time. The 30 - 45 mins (over multiple conversations) we spent talking before he came simply made him more prepared and saved me money again. He asked more questions than a doctor does! :) Now to talk about the work itself, everything was exactly what he said he was going to do, he was of course PREPARED for what needed to be done, he was neat and clean, done correctly, communicated with me while he was working on the equipment to tell me everything he was doing and even did additional checks on the equipment without me asking, because he knew I was selling the equipment and he wanted to make sure everything was ready for me to sell. He simply went over and above what I expected and didn't cost me a dime more for it. Oh, and I am WELL outside his normal service area. Like 60 miles outside his range. Most of the time when I tell someone where I am and they don't normally work in that area; they will just immediately tell you that they don't go that far and decline the work. Jeremy never complained about, he just immediately said yes, he would come down there and was clear that there would be an additional charge for the distance. I knew going into it I would have to pay more because of this, so I had no issue with it. He even took a picture of his mileage; the time he left and shared his WAYS app showing when he left his service area to just show me that he was honest about what the trip charge was going to be. Seriously, who does this.....well I now know one person that does...Jeremy If you ever need work done on farm tractor, lawn mowers, UTVs, four-wheelers, ATVs, Side-by-Sides, and other small engines you have to call Milton Mobile Mechanics. The original company I asked said they could not be there till Saturday (a day later) and if they wanted to get to the parts store that they would need to go to the parts store that day (Friday) to make sure they got the right parts. I then said I'm going to shop around and I'll call you back. I called Frost Fix at around 9am on Friday telling them I needed the refrigerator fixed, they asked me my address and number and then they gave me a time frame for THAT day Friday 4-6pm! I was relieved because that means I could get the refrigerator fixed same day! Well come 5pm I call Frost Fix and ask "Hey just checking on a time you would arrive?" And they stated that the location was way to far and they would not be coming out there. So at that point I had wasted the whole day and I could no longer call the other company to come Saturday since they were booked up at that point. I guess my point is, if you say you will be at a place please be there. When a customer shops around they are looking at a few things, timing, price, and quality of work. When you say you will be at a place you need to really make sure you can make it. Because there are other companies in the area that a person can call and if you state to a customer you will be there, they expect you to do so. Please just be more vigilant about that in the future. I cannot comment on the craftsmanship or quality of this companies work though.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I used Banks Septic to inspect the septic system for a new home my family and I are purchasing. To their credit, I did call them the day of to inspect the system in order to get it in before due diligence ended. They fit me in the day of albeit "after hours" (an additional $200 charge) and $250 for the inspection. Their technician showed up after 5pm, and had the current home owner release permission for him to dig on the property. While digging up the septic tank, the technician severed a private water line in the backyard prompting him to turn off the main water line to THE ENTIRE HOUSE freaking out the current homeowner, my realtor, and the sellers realtor. How he didn't realize that a private water pipe with no water coming out of in the backyard had no impact on the main water line to the house that had already been marked by 811 is beyond me. Trying to manage the crisis from afar, I had to pay $650 to have an after hours plumber come and repair the pipe because the current homeowner was scared to turn the water back on based off his conversation with the technician. When I called Banks the next day to speak with someone, I was told and I quote, "we don't have x-ray vision to see private water lines underground, we aren't liable for anything our technician did" and "I'll have my manager, Roger, call you (he never did)." I understand that mistakes happen but this mistake by their tech cost me $650. I sure would like to speak with someone from their company to at least get reimbursed for the inspection and waive the after hours fee if they ever expect repeat business or a referral from me in the future.
