    I had a troubling experience here, and feel it's necessary for me to share so others don't end up in the same boat. First and foremost, I am stunned how poorly I was treated by the manager Brooke. My mom recommended this office to me, as she loves Dr. Courtright. I booked an appointment over the phone for a stray kitten I recently rescued to receive shots, and also mentioned I thought he had a respiratory infection. The representative I spoke to was named Haven. Haven informed me that because my pet had never been seen there before, I would receive a discounted exam fee of $25, as they were running a promotion for first time patients. My appointment with the doctor was great. She was super thorough and informative. She was very kind and gentle. She ended up prescribing him antibiotics for his cold, and said we should hold off for a couple weeks on shots until he was feeling better. Once I went to check out and was given my total, it seemed high, so I asked if I received the $25 promotion. I was told I actually didn't qualify for the promotion anymore because there was an "issue" at my appointment, and the promotion was only for "wellness" appointments. I was confused and asked what that meant. They seemed confused as well what it meant, but ultimately told me it was because my pet had to be prescribed medication. I did say at that time that was unfortunate because I had been told I'd receive the promotion and never was informed of this stipulation. One of the girls at the desk said she had told them to put that in the fine print on the website so there wasn't confusion, but nevertheless she couldn't give me the discount. The other girl, who I knew was the one who booked my appointment over the phone and gave me this misinformation, sat there and said nothing. Unfortunately I went ahead and just paid it, because I didn't want to make a fuss. Clearly what I should have done was refused, because I had no idea how horrible the manager would later be about the situation. Once I got home and gave it more thought, I felt it really just wasn't right what had happened. I had been bait and switched. I believe they should've honored their word and had the integrity as an ethical business to do so. I checked their site, and not anywhere on the promotion did it specify what and was not included in a "wellness appointment" which I posted a snapshot of in this review. So today, I figured I would call to speak with the manager to try to make this right. I called in the morning around 9 am and was told the manager was out and would be back by 10 am. When I hadn't heard anything back by 2:30, I called again. I then had the not so pleasant experience of speaking with the manager Brooke. I gave her all the details of the situation, and told her I was transparent about the reason for my appointment from the beginning. She was entirely unhelpful to say the least. She had no interest in making things right. She repeated herself over and over again robotically that she couldn't give me the discount because my appointment wasn't considered a "wellness" appointment. The only solution she brought forth was to bring in another pet within a month before the promotion ended. I told her this wasn't a solution for me to bring in another pet that wasn't due for an exam to give them even more of my money. She showed absolutely no empathy or interest in making things right. Eventually she just hung up the phone on me. It was entirely unprofessional and just shows the bad business practices being used at this clinic. I am disheartened by how I was treated as a new client, and that I won't be able to go back to the vet here due to her negligent staff. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise and saved me a future headache. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats that I had intended on bringing here. After sharing the experience I had with my mom, she will also not be returning to this hospital for her pets. I do hope this review inspires the hospital to reflect on how they treat their clients when they drop the ball, and how to better train their staff.

    Wonderful staff, amazing veterinarians . Up front costs with no pressure. They take the time to Explains everything . I highly recommend.

The first thing said to me when I asked how he did was: "He's a DICK." I was honestly shocked. Apparently, he did not like the high-powered dryer or having his feet handled during grooming. While I completely understand that some dogs can be difficult to groom -- especially large dogs unfamiliar with professional grooming environments -- the way this was communicated was extremely unprofessional. A professional groomer could have easily said he was "difficult to groom," "anxious during drying," "didn't tolerate the dryer well," or "struggled with foot handling." Any of those would have communicated the issue appropriately without immediately insulting my dog the moment I reunited with him after 6 days away. What made it more confusing was that I had originally asked how Jacks did during boarding overall, and only after I questioned the comment did the groomer add, "But he's so sweet otherwise." So clearly this was situational grooming behavior, not an aggressive or dangerous dog. I've washed him at PetSmart before without issue, so while I understand every environment is different, the bedside manner here really left a bad impression. I left feeling uncomfortable and honestly, still kind of stunned by the interaction. The groomer also recommended I continue booking grooming appointments so he could "get used to it," but after that interaction, that's going to be a hard no from me. The initial boarding staff when I dropped him off was kind, and Jacks otherwise seemed happy and well cared for during his stay, but customer communication matters -- especially in animal care.

The dogs seemed to get along very well while staying there. Very easy online registration and I just emailed the dogs' shot records and was communicated with and updated every step Of the way.

    We adopted our one-year-old rescue lab, Duncan, about two years ago. He was very friendly, strong…read moreand very "active". We decided to get some professional help and interviewed several trainers in the area. Susanna quickly rose to the top based on her attitude, personality and credentials. We started with a few private lessons then transitioned to her group classes. Susanna's classes are well planned, safe, and appropriate for all types of dog personalities. Duncan quickly progressed through her AKC Good Citizen basic and advanced classes and loves to demonstrate his new skills. Duncan enjoys his weekly day at their "Dog Day Camp" and comes home very happy and tired! He also has enjoyed his stays when he has been boarded with The Canine Coach and again comes home a happy camper. Recently Duncan went through a background check, observation and testing regimen with the national Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD) and is now a credentialed Therapy Dog. He will soon be visiting medical facilities, schools, first responder facilities and the court house. This honor is due largely to Duncan's ongoing relationship with The Canine Coach. While there are a number of canine services in the area, you won't do better than The Canine Coach.
