I think this place is fine. We had the white bean hummus, two salads and the pizza to share. What was a little bit disappointing about the pizza that we got was that it was chewy even though it was thin crust I like a pizza like a cracker when it's thin crust And this was definitely not it. Services grade everybody's really nice but this is definitely not going to be your best pizza place. It's just seems a bit overpriced for what it was and again I like a crispy thin crust.

Wow! What to order? It all looks good. Il start with a bookie Kombucha.

I've been meaning to check out Grateful Bites for a while now. We finally made it and I'm kicking myself for not venturing here sooner. My 9 year old said "out of 5 stars, you should give Grateful Bites 500 stars!" So family friendly, delish and priced appropriately so a family can eat with out breaking the bank, the food here is amazing! We had the white bean hummus, pizza special, cheese pizza and the one with mushrooms and goat cheese... my family of 5 walked out stuffed to the gills because we just wanted to savor every taste over and over! If you're contemplating where to go... stop! And head to Grateful Bites!

MY FAVORITE PIZZA in the Chicago North Shore. And that's saying a lot!!!! I'm in love with this place and everything on the menu. Their elote pizza is incredible, so unique and delicious - I always get questions about it when I post it on my food Instagram. On Tuesdays they have a 2 pizzas for 1 deal that I always try to capitalize on because I seriously cannot get enough. If you're in the area RUN don't walk here. The pizza is magical and cooked in a giant oven you can't miss right when you walk in. My go-to order is: Caesar salad or arugula salad, elote pizza, pepperoni with hot honey pizza and/or feed your head pizza. All made with fresh & delicious ingredients. YUM! 12/10

This is a great little pizza place in the burbs! Order at the counter, and then sit and wait for za. It seems like a lot of the business is takeout, but these super thin crust pizzas are best right away, and the food comes out really quick. Whether you like red sauce or white pizzas, there will be a flavor combo that suits you. They have really good ingredients, and meld them in ingenious ways--try the pepperoni & hot honey. "Feed your head" is also amazing if you're into mushrooms. Oh yeah, and there's a grateful dead theme kind of? Idk but the bathroom had "rings on her fingers and bells on her shoes" written on one of the walls. The music however, did not reflect this theme, and was a little loud.

Just a few blocks from Kevin McCallister's house, Winnetka traded-in the Wet Bandits for the formidable duo offered by @gratefulbites ..... the savory-sweet pepperoni & hot honey pizza and Abe Froman's favorite sausage & giardiniera pizza. "It is so Choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend it".

Best Pizza in Winnetka by far! They're all good but the Pepperoni/Hot Honey is the best!

Best pizza on the North Shore, absent Malnati's. Once you have Greatful Bites, it will become a weekly stop.

Overall we enjoyed our experience. The food was phenomenal…read more We came here after spending the day at the Chicago Botanical Gardens and it was a perfect treat. We were all starving after walking around. And the outdoor seating is perfect for kids. The food was LEGIT. I personally love Italian - pizza, pasta, salads. And all so fresh. We started with baked artichoke and the shredded brussle sprout salad. The baked artichoke was damn delicious and we al joked we could eat a few more plates of them. The brussle sprout salad I'd skip next time. It was shredded enough and the brussle sprouts needed to sit in the lemon juice a little longer to loosen up. It was too hard to eat and because some of the pieces weren't shredded enough you couldn't bite into it. The kids both got rigatoni in a red sauce and finished their entire plates. The only thing I wish is that they had a kids menu because if they want a drink to it comes out to $16 a kid ($12 for pasta and $4 for drink). And the kids soda is just as much as the adults soda. But the pasta itself was freshly made and the red sauce was so good I could drink it. And prolly the most frustrating part of the meal was asking if they had bread to be told that they don't except we watched baskets of bread be brought to our tables. When we asked our waiter Jeffrey if they had bread he said no twice and told us they have focaccia. The kids obviously didn't like it. After being lied to we decided to ask someone else who then brought us the free bread ??? So don't get tricked to order focaccia because they do have bread. This was really frustrating to be straight lied to and the focaccia in my mind wasn't worth $12. It needed more oil while being baked because it was dry. But in all my dining experiences I've never been lied to about getting a basket of bread just to get us to buy focaccia. It was so weird. I ordered the tortellini with balsamic and I enjoyed the tortellini themselves but the sauce lacked flavor. It almost needed a mushroom base or something that had more a punch. My husband got the bolognese and really enjoyed it and he is the last person to order pasta out. My best friend got the eggplant lasagne and damn it was good. I forget what her husband got. Then we also ordered pizza for the table and shit it was so good. Next time I'd try the mushroom pizza. We sat outside and the ambiance out there is much more livelier than inside especially if you're traveling with kiddos. They also had a magician who came to our table and really made the night enjoyable for the kids. We plan to head back at some time and have learned our bread lesson lol. Next time we would just ask for another waiter because being lied to is just odd.

Lefty's has a very small dining room with limited seating (during the warmer months they offer al fresco dining) and a counter running along the main window for additional seating. In this instance seating and interior are secondary to the superb quality of the pizza. We started with a Sketchbook IPA and Peroni beer on draft. They were brought to the table in chilled glasses with a nice head of foam. The beers were presented in glasses with the beer names etched on each of the glasses. Outstanding presentation! For our entree we ordered a 16 inch thin crust pizza with sausage, green peppers, and mushrooms. When it came to the table it was hot and bursting with a sweet aroma and bouquet of colors. The pizza was topped with green, red, and yellow peppers, mushrooms, and chunks of fresh sausage. The sauce was sweet and plentiful and was amply covered with generous portions of melted mozzarella cheese. The pizza was hot and the blended flavors of the combined ingredients were superb. Finally, an establishment that values the quality of ingredients and consistently delivers. Lefty's is one of the very best thin crust pizza's on the north shore. "Pizza is [Lefty's] love language, and [they are ] fluent in it". Bravo!

We get to Linden for a late dinner and thankfully this place is close to the station. It's a modest restaurant with few tables (picnic style appearance). There are some people waiting for take out and delivery runners coming in and out. Everyone is so nice. Pro tip there are a few more food options on the QR menu than the menu on display on the wall. Prices are a little off between the QR menu and ring up but it's not a big deal. We ordered paninis and they were delicious! My husband got the panini Italiano and I got the Philly chicken panini. We ate half at dinner and ate the other half the next day. The panini is a grilled sandwich more than a pressed sandwich. It was buttery , crunchy and perfect!! Even heating it up the next day didn't take away too much of the crunch. We very much enjoyed this meal and when the kid has a craving to ride the purple to linden again, we'll be back. Will try their pizza next time. :)
