By way of explaining why he did not arrive on time the new owner was complaining about needing more staff since the previous owner took a lot of staff with him......What a disappointment. On the day of the scheduled move earlier this summer, the confirmed arrival time came and went - Multiple texts, then a call eventually. They said they were running late, and they would arrive within the hour. Didn't happen - again- we rescheduled. They arrived on time- and while the move went ok- the experience was not. helper #1 complained it was not a big enough job- helper #2 smelled like pot and was obviously doing that every time he stepped outside. The owner/driver when I asked him about the travel fee went on to tell me he had to rent the truck, pay his guys, etc. Not my concern. By now I just want them gone - but afterwards checking the contract I see " Rate $180 for travel time - one hour per 50 miles or a fraction thereof." I was charged the full $180. for 15 minutes and 6 miles. Do not recommend. Truly awful.

THIS COMPANY IS A NIGHTMARE! We used them for a short move to a home just 10 minutes up the road…read morefrom our previous home. . Not only were things damaged or destroyed when they moved my furniture10 minutes up the road, items were missing!!! Brazos moved a bookshelf just a few miles up the road and destroyed it beyond being repair. (This same bookshelf moved from CA to NC 4 years ago and arrived in perfect shape.) When moving the furniture in our old home, they smashed a painting that was still hanging, and broke the plexiglass. I had two items that were not delivered. A matching bookshelf to the one the movers destroyed, and a Weber Kettle BBQ Grill. I noticed the next day these items were not delivered, and when I called the office, I was told that nothing was left on the truck, and that I must be mistaken... like it was my error not their error. Someone from Brazos came to our home to look at the damage to the artwork and bookshelf, but he came WITHOUT a pen, paper or measuring tape. I had to provide all the tools he needed. The next story I got from Brazos was that the missing bookshelf was found it in a box, in the trash because it was destroyed in the move. Why didn't the movers tell me at the time that they destroyed it?! They also insist that the Weber Grill - which I reminded them to put on the truck, and was sitting next to the loading ramp - just mysteriously disappeared! They are also saying that I only signed on for 60 cents a pound for insurance. 60 cents a pound is not enough to insure a book! The guy who had me sign everything did not explain the insurance information, and now I am out $600 to replace the plexiglass, $200 for a new grill that someone at Brazos is enjoying, and for two sets of bookshelves that we part of a set of four pieces. It will be impossible to find two shelves for that had the other two stacked on top. STAY AWAY FROM BRAZOS if you want all you furniture delivered in one piece, or if you want all of it to show up... even if it is only a short move!

Raleigh Moving Company knocked it out of the park from start to finish and I highly, highly recommend them! I was looking at several moving companies in the Triangle for a long-distance move across multiple state lines, and after speaking with Sapphira, I knew Raleigh Moving Company would be my choice. She was so professional and informative, and I was really impressed when she told me that the company employs their movers full-time, and that many of the movers have worked for the company for years. The company is easy to get ahold of when you have questions, and everyone there is communicative and helpful. Sapphira was so helpful in coordinating logistics and answering complicated questions, and was so gracious and flexible when I had to change my move date. We also did a virtual walk-through the day before my move, so that she could be sure the team was fully ready for everything the following day. My movers were Travis and Wilson. Wow -- what a team!!! They were so professional, so courteous, and very experienced. It was clear that they really knew what they were doing, and that they were invested in the success of my move and in making sure I was happy with everything. They worked so hard and went above and beyond in multiple ways to help, and to make sure that everything was done correctly and to my specifications during both the move out and the move in. They were thoughtful and careful in how they approached everything. Because of their hard work, hustle, care, and expertise, what could have been a stressful couple of days was smooth and easy! And it was such a pleasant experience to work with a team who were not only so experienced and efficient, but also really nice guys. This is the best moving company I've ever worked with, hands-down. Thank you all for such a great experience!

They just threw the last loads in without any care or organization! I called Raleigh Moving Company and they couldn't send help until 2 days later - after the truck was scheduled to leave. THEN... they offered to send one person early in the evening but we would have to pay! THEY MADE SEVERAL MISTAKES AND WOULD NOT HELP US. I am 65 and my husband is 70, and we had to unload and reload a truck in the heat! They do not care about their customers, only about getting the money!

During the move, multiple crew members disappeared for periods exceeding one hour without explanation. One mover took particular notice of my wife's jewelry, watching closely as she handled it that morning. Her jewelry -- including pieces of deep family significance passed down through generations -- was secured in our locked vehicle with no signs of forced entry and driven directly to our new home. At the destination, the same mover who had observed the jewelry that morning offered multiple times to carry the specific bag containing it into the house. My wife placed the bag in our bedroom closet. At some point during the remainder of the move, we were outside the home. The following morning the jewelry was gone. When we reported this to CEO William Saunders, he stated -- verbatim -- "we have never had anything like this happen and this could ruin us." He requested we not contact police for 24 hours, stating he wanted to speak with his crew first, and indicated he had a good idea who may have been responsible based on issues that person had "when he was young." We honored his request. The items were not returned. My wife spoke with Mr. Saunders separately and independently, and his statements to her were consistent with what he told me. Mr. Saunders later disputed making those earlier statements. A police report has been filed. The investigation is active.

Secondly, I want to thank Sandi for being so supportive and taking the time to learn about our situation. My dad has a lot on his plate, but I am learning that there are multiple ways to support full-time family caregivers so they can find balance in their own lives despite the 24/7 responsibility. One of the challenges I see from the outside is a lack of time to get household chores done, enjoying hobbies, or even ongoing projects that are on hold 'until I have time'. I also have adopted the procrastinators mantra- why put off what you can do tomorrow until the day after tomorrow!!! -mark twain So, needless to say, over time, accumulation of stuff and piles is likely inevitable. My dad said working with Sandi changed his life, and from his daughter who lives halfway across the world, to witness the transformation has been humbling and a relief. Over the years of going back to visit, I have not been able to figure out a process, there's never enough time! And this is coming from a profession where my duties are in project management and require organization! When he admitted he could never have done it alone because it had become so overwhelming was a surprise. He said being able to breathe easier, feel like the space is open and welcoming, gives room for creativity and growth rather than stress and negative self- view. The space that was cleared is now nicknamed 'the sanctuary' and is the most peaceful place in the house. Manageable amounts of time for the sessions themselves and multiple sessions allowed him to get into a routine and I saw him wanting and looking forward to her help. It has showed me that there is vision and skill involved from an outside perspective which is virtually impossible with family members. We are all in need of support with these demanding lives we lead. He is so motivated to keep going with all the other spots he works in!!! What growth it showed that my dad was open to the guidance and transformation!
