Been meaning to post this--but we took our Golden Retriever to the Grateful Dog at the Sebastopol Paw Spa and they groomed him up just right! (We had a horrible experience at our former groomer) but the folks at Grateful Dog took their time and gave him the classic "golden" look. read more

We are very happy with the outcome. Noodle got the works and looks the business! Dayna is very nice and I love the business concept. Cost was $85 (plus tip, there is a slight reduction for first time customers btw). I thought initially this was a little expensive, but then I looked at the reviews (poor) and prices of the local corporate pet store, and felt it was worth paying a little more for the convenience, the good reviews and supporting a green business. Shame on me for not having left a review for Dayna yet. We were so lucky to have found her at the Bodega Bay farmers market in 2016 and she has taken care of our dogs ever since. All ages and sizes, she has the magical touch. She must be some sort of a dog whisperer because she has such a special way with them - even our super high energy and very fluffy American Eskimo! She is kind, responsible, timely and a great communicator. We only live in the Sonoma Coast area part time, so we plan all our trips to be sure she can groom them. My border collie, genetically hard wired to be a bit nervous, particularly around new people, took to Dayna like she was an old and trusted friend. Dayna is fantastic and I highly recommend her grooming services! Her van is super clean,spotless in fact, and nicely set up. She uses excellent products. My 12 1/2 year old yellow lab was very comfortable with both the van and Dayna. We have never used a mobile service before and this was a perfect experience. Dayna is very professional, super friendly and very gentle and kind with my dog. As he is old, his hind legs are weak and she was patient and very flexible with his need to lay down when he got tired. My dog was happy and comfortable, not anxious at all.
