Professional, courteous, and the first Dermatologist I have ever seen that takes their time and doesn't rush.

We've been taking our son to Walnut Creek Dermatology for about a year now, and I gotta tell you,…read morewe could not be happier. The office is very nice, staff is friendly, and Dr. Radelll had been wonderful to work with. She diagnosed his issues, created a long term course of action, and made sure our son understood his face care responsibilities. We've checked in with her a few times. Every visit was great. But Dave, you have Kaiser, why would you pay out of pocket? We tried Kaiser. It took several weeks just to be able to message a dermatologist. Then more messages with pictures and still no course of action. I wanted someone to actually look at his face. Plus, it's not super expensive. So we took matters into our own hands and never looked back. Give Dr. Radell a try!!

I called the day prior to confirm and left a voicemail and ask a question about potentially rescheduling. Why didn't they call me back and tell me that I didn't actually have an appointment! They just continued to let me find a babysitter and show up for my non existent appointment! The lady at the front wasn't even nice about it either.

She also identified several skin concerns I had not even noticed and had plans for those too. Over a very short time I experienced great improvement in each problem. Extremely professional and competent front desk staff, with a great doctor (whose skin is like a walking advertisement for her services, btw!) They don't take most insurance but in this case you definitely get what you pay for. I will remain a loyal client, and if I ever take the plunge into Botox (shut up, I'm scared), Dr. Brown is the one I will trust with my face. A very solid five stars!

She required a 30 min appointment to address 2 concerns, his skin rash and a skin tag. My husband and I told her assistant (who was friendly btw) our concerns and the assistant left the room and said she would share them with Dr. Browne who would be in soon. When Dr. Browne entered the room, she had a strange look on her face which I can best describe as non-welcoming. She seemed dismissive and a bit rude from the start and didn't seem to care much about establishing a positive or meaningful dr/patient relationship. After she prescribed topical eczema medications for my husband's rash and started to leave the room, I reminded her that my husband also wanted to show her the skin tag on his neck. The assistant nodded in agreement and was about to speak up as well, but Dr. Browne interrupted me before I could finish my sentence and said "You're out of time. We can talk about it next time." She then quickly exited and shut the door behind her. Her behavior was extremely awkward and unprofessional. She could have easily taken a look if she wanted to, because we had only seen her for about 15 min although we were at her office for 30 minutes (filling out paperwork and waiting) and had paid for a 30 min appointment. This was definitely a disappointing experience and my husband won't be going back. I did receive some comfort seeing other negative reviews with similar comments. I just wish I had seen those reviews beforehand!

My new Internist had recommended a baseline skin exam so I set out to Yelp to see who was available. Ani was rated 4.5 stars and generally received glowing reviews. As others have stated, it takes a couple of months to be seen for an exam. She has offices in both Oakland and Lafayette, but since the Oakland office had more available time slots I opted for Oakland. She explained to me that, along with exams, she performs surgery on certain days therefore it can be somewhat difficult finding an appointment in the very near future. I was first impressed with her sense of humor and fun spirit. It's clear she loves her profession and she is very competent at her work. Like other reviews on this site, I found that she and her assistant were very prompt. The exam consisted of a lighted Jeweler type magnifying glass which she used to inspect my body from head to toe. The exam is very thorough. I was give a "clean bill of health". When I told her that I golf, she explained that not only should I wear sunblock and a hat but make sure to wear a golf glove on BOTH hands. She stated she sees golfer patients from time to time that have gotten skin cancer on the hand that is not normally gloved. I would definitely recommend Ani to anyone searching for a highly competent Dermatologist.

I have been coming to this establishment for a bit. I think maybe i'm on my 2nd package with each…read morepackage contains 4 or 5 treatments. Danville is a tad far from my home, which is SF. But since I liked what I saw and heard from Dr. Ellis' YT channel, I thought it was worth the drive to come here. I saw Dr. Ellis for the initial consult but since they've made her a partner at the practice, all my treatments were performed by a nurse. And I love my nurse, her name is Emily, she seems competent and friendly and funny. What's not cool about this place is: 1) The pricing 2) The front desk The pricing is much higher than other cosmetic practices in the Bay Area, incl in SF where I used to and still get some treatments done. To compensate for this, you'll need to buy a package, just to make the pricing comparable to other places where you could buy as a single treatment. The front desk seems to be employing a gestapo approach to customer service. So I made a mistake in my calendar with the start time, so I ended up arriving 1 hour earlier than the 2:30p appointment time that they texted me. I arrived and I told them I had a 1:30p appointment, but was informed that my appointment was actually 3:30p, with a 2:30p start time just going into a room waiting while getting my face numbed. I told them it seems that I've made a mistake but I do have a full day ahead of me and I live all the way in SF so I wanted to see if they could please let my nurse know that I'm there early. I was asking them for an accommodation for a mistake that I clearly owned. They wouldn't talk to Nurse Emily. They told me Emily is all booked with not a 5 min to spare. I told them that's fine, if they could please maybe leave her a little note letting her know of my situation. Loren at Front Desk initally told me yes they would tell Emily when she's out with a patient to the cashier at front desk, but within minutes, she had told her manager in the office and her manager came out to tell me there's nothing they could do. They wouldn't let Emily know! They also told me they absolutely have no spare room to put me in. But when I was finally admitted to my treatment room, I saw a ROW of empty rooms. Bravo!

I am also busy and have a 3 month wait for non urgent patients. But when you have established patients with urgent concerns you accommodate them in an urgent fashion. 3 weeks is not urgent. I told them this is not up to my expectations of care and is poor patient care and they said "we are sorry to hear that but we do understand if you will need to see another dermatologist. We have a lot of urgent concerns that has been requesting to schedule but we cannot accommodate everyone." Wow. As a physician I am appalled. I would never let my staff say this to a patient!

True my visit was just a few minutes but in those few minutes I believe I received the information and treatment I needed for two warts on my feet. I avoided getting any kind of spa treatments on my feet because of a wart on top of one of my toes and another near my hell on the opposite foot. I was told they are contagious and should not be touched. I could put a band aid on them and still get a pedicure. Also I was informed that warts are historically difficult to treat and could require multiple treatments- up to nine! I had gone to a local podiatrist whose treatment was a very mild freeze with a canister that was very small. At Berman they had a canister that was roughly 5 times as large and delivered quite a punch to the warts. I was told it might sting a little and sting it did!
