Yay! Respectable BBQ in Seaside! I can be hard to please as a Midwestern raised BBQ snob but there are so many good things to say about my first experience at Gray's Comfort Q. The smoke on the meat was balanced, the rub was flavorful and the two homemade sauces were delish! I had the meat trio with pulled pork, ribs and brisket subbed in because the chicken was already gone. All the meats were tasty and the ribs were thick and juicy! I had Mac & Cheese(nice cheese blend) and Collards(soft but not mushy) as well as cornbread and took a piece of spice cake home. Besides having great leftovers to look forward to after a delicious lunch talking with Sean the owner was also a treat. What a lovely person! Please support him and help keep this local business busy in Seaside. PS Come early or your fave might be sold out!

The home made bbq sauce is amazing, the owner is so kind and welcoming and the pulled pork is incredible!

My husband and I went here after leaving seaside looking for a good lunch to sit down and enjoy some comfort food since the weather was a bit muggy, the food was amazing, great home style comfort bbq! Service was excellent, couldn't have asked for a better owner to own a restaurant, very kind and hospitable, even played music while it was just me and my husband in there it was very nice! I've never had collard greens before but I definitely would recommend the brisket plate with collard greens and beans 10/10

The menu is limited but who cares? It's a BBQ joint!!!

A true BBQ rib joint gem now open operating in Seaside! Juicy and meaty, you sink your teeth into these thick pigsicles and tear the smoked, beautifully spice encrusted wonders! Everything is home made, according to Sean the owner, and the love, flavor, and taste just explodes on your tongue and in between your teeth, including the incredible BBQ sauces! This is the BBQ Ribs at its best! A food choice surely lacking and hard to find along the coast. He's only been open a few weeks (as of this review) and I'm definitely going to be back for more bbq rib goodness!!!

Big Kahuna Pub and Grill has been serving Seaside since around 2007, and somehow it still feels like one of those hidden little local secrets you have to hunt down to find. The place is small, busy, and definitely popular with the locals, so things might take a little longer when the crowd rolls in, but honestly that is part of the charm. Everybody seemed friendly, laid back, and happy to be there. Five stars just for the atmosphere and kindness alone. And then there is the Bloody Mary. Good grief. The thing comes stacked with enough food to count as lunch, including the famous burger sitting right on top. It is one of those ridiculous creations that sounds crazy until you see one go by and suddenly every single person in the restaurant wants one. Their Bloody Marys have basically become coast legend status at this point. The menu itself is pretty simple and straightforward, burgers, comfort food, drinks, nothing overly fancy, just solid beach town food done right. Sometimes those are the best kinds of places anyway. If you are wandering around Seaside and want something that feels more local than touristy, give this little hidden gem a try. It may be tucked away, but they have definitely made a name for themselves.

The menu includes a variety of sandwich, bagel, and spread options as well as a list of caffeinated beverages including coffees and red bull infused drinks. The service was very quick with my food and drink, and the inside has ample seating with free wifi and nice window lighting. I ordered the brunch sandwich on sesame bagel with a peanut butter mocha. The sandwich itself was good and the coffee was not bad. The location also offers a drive thru for those who are in a rush to grab their bagel and go. Overall, I would recommend this spot if you are looking for a new breakfast/brunch location or are in the area and need something quick on the go.

So you know I have to revisit every time I come. Sadly, This time wasn't as good as my last experience back in 2022. Might be overpriced, but very tasty nonetheless! A variety of bagels and quick service! My only two complains are the prices, and the fact that they don't include the cream cheese w your bagel unless listed in the ingredients below. I feel like that should be a crime!! Oh and last issue, we got 3 soups and one was suppose to be a larger size than the other two. When we got them they were all one size. We tried to address the issue and were told by staff that one was bigger than the rest. So with that I Wasn't going to go back and forth. But was also disappointing, especially bc their soup was very tasty. So of course I wanted the bigger size I had originally ordered. Regardless, great food. I'll take the L. My last rating was on Google.

Turns out they keep it raised until about 4 o'clock while they brew beer behind the theater, then the screen comes down later for basketball, games, and movies. Honestly, that just made me appreciate the place even more. I walk all over Seaside trying different spots, little hidden places, tourist places, all of it, and somehow this still ends up being my favorite lunch spot in town. The food never disappoints. Ever. The prices are shockingly good for what you get, and they somehow manage to get food out fast without sacrificing quality. What I love most is the space. Even when town is packed, you are not jammed in elbow to elbow with people. Families, kids, locals, everybody just looks comfortable there. Big open historic theater, great food, quick service, sports on the screen later in the day, and good atmosphere without the chaos. Screen up or screen down, this place is one of my favorites.
