Saddest Ruben I think I've seen in a while. Sad because Arby's has a better Ruben (seriously)-where's the beef?

Super friendly staff, but food is just Mlahhh.... Has a diner feel, wish it was set up like an old soda fountain shop, that would make it nitchy

A staple in downtown grayling. When it's cold out, we'll skip out on making bfest at camp and go into town and warm up with a coffee and The Lumberman Breakfast!!!!! Decent diner staying old school. Very dependable and consistent.

Passing through Grayling on the way to Traverse City, we decided to stop for lunch. We didn't want fast food nor a super long meal, so the Grayling Restaurant fit our needs perfectly. It's good "diner type" food. And while it won't win any awards for culinary creativity, it does the basics well. I ordered two eggs (a la carte) and these were "fine" but definitely reminded me of the "Included" breakfast buffet eggs you often see at a hotel. I mean they are ... scrabbled eggs. But I also got the cinnamon roll pancakes. These were the perfect mix and sweet and flavorful cinnamon treats. They came with butter and syrup but I can't imagine needing either one. My husband had a patty melt and said it had a lot of onions and was tasty. Our server, Jody, provided friendly service and the restaurant decor featured old newspaper articles and maps. It was pretty cool. We'd definitely say if you want a quick bite to eat while in or passing through Grayling, it's a way better option than fast food.

This is a true Main Street USA little area. It was very popular and we actually had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. However, it was well worth the wait. The staff was friendly, hometown vibes and the food was abundant and delicious. The feel of the space was very local and friendly. There's lots of little artisan shops to keep you busy while you wait. It broke up our ride and made our long road trip bearable.

    Western Omelette!!!!!! Perfect

Their Hospitality is top notch. Everyone working together and paying attention to the needs of their customers. I am from Los Angeles and it is so refreshing to have a local dinner with fresh ingredients and good vibes. omelette are cooked to perfection not one brown spot in sight. Veggies are tender and they keep the coffee flowing. Patricia was my waitress but, Sue and Patty also kept a close eye on me.

Place to go if you only go to one diner. Packed on a Sunday morning. Waited 30 sec for four. Cute diner w/ bar seats & great atmosphere. Server helped me sub out potato option w/ tomato slices on the fried steak special. For $12 it was a huge plate. W/ eggs, toast & tomatoes I made a sandwich in addition to the fried steak which was perfectly breaded & large plus the gravy was actually good b/c don't usually like country gravy. Cinnamon pancake was loved by kids. Home fries plate was huge & nicely cooked. The sweet potato tots was a favorite & enjoyed by all. Side salad was really a large size too. Value for the money was excellent. So many things I wanted to try and will have to come back next summer during camping! Amazing experience.

Our first time trying this place while up in the area. It was a bit of a wait but they seem busy on the weekends, plan for at least 30 minutes. This is a great place for breakfast. They do have limited vegetarian options but what we had was good. The service was a bit slow but they were very friendly. They have a typical old time diner feel. We would return again.

My family has a cottage in Grayling and this is a favorite spot for breakfast. I enjoyed the Spinach omelette, hash browns, and toast with an iced tea today. Lots of filling in the omelette! Yummy ranch also (that was an up charge of 69 cents). It's a small place so it might mean a wait when busy. The staff are kind and the place is welcoming. We always leave full too.

Our waitress was great too, any item we asked about on the menu she could tell us all the effort they put into preparing.

The Farmer's Table is conveniently located just off the Wolverine, MI exit of I-75. It looks like it may have once been a gas station; very unassuming building with a huge parking lot for all sorts of vehicles, trucks and RV's. Once you step inside, the magic happens. Cute and cozy, filled with charming little tables and a mercantile area, the friendly staff will greet you and make you feel at home. Their menu is varied with many entrees made from locally sourced ingredients. This concept feels fresh and healthy, though the entrees themselves feel like grandma's cooking. Not fancy or trendy, but hearty, flavorful home cooking. My husband chose a pork chop, baked potato, corn and side salad. The photo of the pork chop looks juicy and tender; it was just that. He said it was the best pork chop he's ever had. The apple glaze was really good. I chose the chicken cordon blue, to sample something I would not make at home. It was rich, a tad salty yet very good. The side corn was amazing, as was the apple slaw. Next time I'll ask for mashed potatoes without the dark gravy. We took a small fried raspberry pie for dessert on the road and enjoyed mulling the through their homemade bakery items. The prices were very reasonable. We will be making this stop a regular on our way up north. Look forward to trying their brunch items, which get raved reviews.
