My friend Lily told me to stop here and I'm glad she did! Delicious breakfast sandwiches and pastries and delicious coffee. Very small cafe with minimal seating. There was a man in his 30's there flirting with the employees which was weird but other than that, it was a great experience and if we come back in the area will definitely stop by again!

Very delicious coffee and the staff was soo nice and helpful. They don't have much food options but their drinks and bakery was really good. Parking in the front isn't much but there is a lot across the street for parking. There is a backyard where you can sit and eat and it's soo pretty.

Always a good cup of coffee! Grays offers fun and innovative monthly specials. There are a few seats available inside but outside is set up like a cozy patio and perfect on those spring/summer days. Lots of parking including a parking lot across the street. There are also park benches, tables, chairs along a small pond. Dogs are always welcome which is a plus!

We stumbled on this gem by accident. We spend weekends at our cottage in Portsmouth but are always exploring the joys of back roads in RI. It's on the other side of the road from a lively pond with weathered seating. We walked in to a small coffee shop but a huge selection of coffee and flavor choices. Lauren greeted us the way I love. I told her my coffee choice was dealer's choice. She made me an iced coffee with maple flavoring, cream and cinnamon. So great. My Irene had a regular coffee from their serve yourself area. I also had an apple chauson ( turnover) but it sounds fancy in French. If you're in Westport, RI, stop here. You'll get fast friendly service.

Gray's Daily Grind is my favorite coffee shop! Gray's is located along a relaxing pond, where you can sip your coffee on the water with a beautiful view. Gray's uses the coffee beans roasted locally from Coastal Roasters in Tiverton, Rhode Island... so the coffee quality is top notch! Gray's has an extensive specialty drink menu that changes every season, and includes every drink you could possibly imagine - coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, milkshakes, bubble teas, matcha, and the best cold brew... just to name a few! They also offer baked good items from other local businesses in New England - including scones, donuts, cookies and more! Their menu is creative, and you can't go wrong with anything you buy. The prices are on the more expensive end for coffee... but I think it's totally worth it! Stop in and try out my go to drinks - an iced latte with local Arruda's coffee milk (a RI specialty!), or their cold brew with vanilla cream cold foam!

We were in the mood to try Knead donuts, but were definitely not in the mood to hassle with Providence. That is when we discovered that Gray's Daily Grind has Knead donuts and will do curbside delivery of coffee and donuts. Curbside was the way to go to beat the line to get in. Pulled up and in no time we were parked across the street enjoying our donuts by the water. I really enjoyed the chocolate chip donut and would definitely get that one again. Awesome service!

After a great hike through Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary, we were in the mood for a good cup of coffee and landed on checking out Gray's Daily Grind. A really impressive menu complete with Knead's Donuts (can't wait to visit again to take advantage of that!) but for us it was just a couple of iced coffee beverages. Located within an old, historic grist mill, there is a walk-up window where you can place your order and then move to another window for pickup. I opted for the honey maple iced coffee which was flavorful and nuanced and certainly hit the spot post-hike. The Mrs. opted for the iced caramel pumpkin latte with skim milk which tasted like a dessert and was the quintessential fall drink. Both were very well done! Definitely will be checking out Gray's Daily Grind again when back in Westport. Highly recommend!

Kneads Vanilla Old Fashion a little to dry for me..

Today we put an order in online for curbside pickup which worked out fantastic as the line was pretty big when we arrived and they immediately brought out our stuff! We were able to get Knead's famous donuts! I had a Vanilla Old Fashion and a Chocolate Chip Old Fashion and I have to say that the Chocolate Chip won by far! It was so tasty and a little less dry than the other! Will definitely get that one again!!!! We parked across the street and ate at the herring run, very peaceful spot!! Got to take in the natural beauty that surrounds us!!

Super cute little coffee shop! Small parking lot, but there's a big lot with extra space across the road. They post fun and creative seasonal drink menus with great flavors. When I was there, they had a bunch of seasonal cold foams, including maple, salted caramel, and pumpkin for fall/Halloween. Both the cold brew and iced tea that I tried were delicious! Super customizable menu with lots of different syrups and flavors, including some less common ones like rose and lavender. Staff was kind and friendly, service was super quick. Great pastries as well. Highly recommend!

Stop here and buy Johny Cake mix. It is the only place I know of to buy this particular form of ground corn meal. Johny cakes of this variation are unique to the area. If a pancake and grits, had a baby it would be a Johny cake. Yum! If you go at the right time, the miller will explain the history, process, and bred of corn (Rhode Island White Cap Flint corn). Quite fascinating.

    This coffee shop is awesome!

Tucked away in what was obviously once a domestic house and carefully transformed into a welcoming café, Kaffeology in Portsmouth feels like a well-kept secret. Although you can still feel the bones of the house, the conversion is tactful and sensitive, and the flow is surprisingly good for a coffee shop. It's the type of location where you naturally speak more quietly - not because you have to, but rather because the ambiance encourages serenity. The almond croissant went well with a well-pulled espresso and was fragrant and crunchy without being too sugary. The fact that Mrs. K. gave her latte the thumbs up is no small accomplishment. The sitting, both indoors and out, was varied enough to accommodate a short visit or a long morning, and the service was friendly yet unobtrusive. With just enough individuality in the décor to be well-curated without being fussy, the area exudes a subtle charm. Kaffeology is worth the trip if you're traveling through Aquidneck Island and need a restorative, rather than hurried, break. It aims to be terrific rather than trendy, and that's just what makes it memorable. [Review 1087 of 2025 - 90 in Rhode Island - 24641 overall]

Not so at Slim Possible, whose numerous flavor offerings run the gamut from Coconut Cream Pie (when the cheerful cashier asked if I wanted an Oreo layer blended into my shake, my answer was tears of joy and a resounding HECK YES), to a convincing Lemon Poppyseed, which tastes like a liquified version of the popular cafe treat. The ingredients were actually cooked together and well seasoned making for a cohesive dish rather than one of those bowls that just dumps separate ingredients into a bowl that lacks flavor. Would get this again for sure. My only complaint is that my egg was covered in black specs which appeared to be burnt cast iron residue. The honey lavender scone was also great - nice texture - almost biscuit like tbh, and the lavender flavor was a little too subtle for me to really taste, but I still enjoyed it. The place is cute as well but be warned they don't let you use a laptop here which I'm not a fan of. I didn't have a laptop on me but I know a lot of people like to go to cafes and do some work. The cafe itself is absolutely gorgeous. One of the nicest cafes I've ever seen. Decorated perfectly and had numerous goodies to sell. It was packed but we didn't have trouble finding a place to stand. The menu is pretty limited but that made it easy to choose what we wanted. The employee who served us was very accommodating and friendly. She answered any questions we had with no issues. I ended up ordering a leek quiche and chai tea latte. The total for two drinks, a quiche, and a sandwich came out to $56. Definitely way too pricey to do this often. The food came out quickly. My latte was delicious but for $8 it should be. Mostly ice as well. My quiche was not as delicious though. It was barely lukewarm and pretty bland. For $19 I also found the portion to be pretty small. Definitely not something I would order again. My partner enjoyed his sandwich but said it was also small for the price and the bread was a bit too crusty. Overall, it's a beautiful venue and a nice experience but I wouldn't rush back on my next trip to Tiverton.
