Always a good cup of coffee! Grays offers fun and innovative monthly specials. There are a few seats available inside but outside is set up like a cozy patio and perfect on those spring/summer days. Lots of parking including a parking lot across the street. There are also park benches, tables, chairs along a small pond. Dogs are always welcome which is a plus!

We stumbled on this gem by accident. We spend weekends at our cottage in Portsmouth but are always exploring the joys of back roads in RI. It's on the other side of the road from a lively pond with weathered seating. We walked in to a small coffee shop but a huge selection of coffee and flavor choices. Lauren greeted us the way I love. I told her my coffee choice was dealer's choice. She made me an iced coffee with maple flavoring, cream and cinnamon. So great. My Irene had a regular coffee from their serve yourself area. I also had an apple chauson ( turnover) but it sounds fancy in French. If you're in Westport, RI, stop here. You'll get fast friendly service.

Gray's Daily Grind is my favorite coffee shop! Gray's is located along a relaxing pond, where you can sip your coffee on the water with a beautiful view. Gray's uses the coffee beans roasted locally from Coastal Roasters in Tiverton, Rhode Island... so the coffee quality is top notch! Gray's has an extensive specialty drink menu that changes every season, and includes every drink you could possibly imagine - coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, milkshakes, bubble teas, matcha, and the best cold brew... just to name a few! They also offer baked good items from other local businesses in New England - including scones, donuts, cookies and more! Their menu is creative, and you can't go wrong with anything you buy. The prices are on the more expensive end for coffee... but I think it's totally worth it! Stop in and try out my go to drinks - an iced latte with local Arruda's coffee milk (a RI specialty!), or their cold brew with vanilla cream cold foam!

We were in the mood to try Knead donuts, but were definitely not in the mood to hassle with Providence. That is when we discovered that Gray's Daily Grind has Knead donuts and will do curbside delivery of coffee and donuts. Curbside was the way to go to beat the line to get in. Pulled up and in no time we were parked across the street enjoying our donuts by the water. I really enjoyed the chocolate chip donut and would definitely get that one again. Awesome service!

After a great hike through Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary, we were in the mood for a good cup of coffee and landed on checking out Gray's Daily Grind. A really impressive menu complete with Knead's Donuts (can't wait to visit again to take advantage of that!) but for us it was just a couple of iced coffee beverages. Located within an old, historic grist mill, there is a walk-up window where you can place your order and then move to another window for pickup. I opted for the honey maple iced coffee which was flavorful and nuanced and certainly hit the spot post-hike. The Mrs. opted for the iced caramel pumpkin latte with skim milk which tasted like a dessert and was the quintessential fall drink. Both were very well done! Definitely will be checking out Gray's Daily Grind again when back in Westport. Highly recommend!

Super cute little coffee shop! Small parking lot, but there's a big lot with extra space across the road. They post fun and creative seasonal drink menus with great flavors. When I was there, they had a bunch of seasonal cold foams, including maple, salted caramel, and pumpkin for fall/Halloween. Both the cold brew and iced tea that I tried were delicious! Super customizable menu with lots of different syrups and flavors, including some less common ones like rose and lavender. Staff was kind and friendly, service was super quick. Great pastries as well. Highly recommend!

Kneads Vanilla Old Fashion a little to dry for me..

Today we put an order in online for curbside pickup which worked out fantastic as the line was pretty big when we arrived and they immediately brought out our stuff! We were able to get Knead's famous donuts! I had a Vanilla Old Fashion and a Chocolate Chip Old Fashion and I have to say that the Chocolate Chip won by far! It was so tasty and a little less dry than the other! Will definitely get that one again!!!! We parked across the street and ate at the herring run, very peaceful spot!! Got to take in the natural beauty that surrounds us!!

Stop here and buy Johny Cake mix. It is the only place I know of to buy this particular form of ground corn meal. Johny cakes of this variation are unique to the area. If a pancake and grits, had a baby it would be a Johny cake. Yum! If you go at the right time, the miller will explain the history, process, and bred of corn (Rhode Island White Cap Flint corn). Quite fascinating.

    This coffee shop is awesome!

This is an outstanding, quaint little coffee shop! You will definitely not be disappointed if you stop here. The coffee is good and the customer service is great. They also have amazing donuts from one of my favorite donut shops! They always have a new flavor so try it out of just get the drip. Regardless, you will no leave wanting to get coffee somewhere else. If you are hungry they have other options as well.

I need non-dairy alternatives in my coffee and tea, and they recommend I try oat milk, which I'd never had before.

This is it. Longer review: My wife and I flew into Boston two weeks ago to celebrate our first year anniversary. We were staying out on the beach in Dartmouth and as part of the celebration I wanted to order a nice cake for the occasion. Being relatively new to the area I was not sure where to turn. And to complicate matters, we had gone vegan a few months prior. Enter Underscores Baked Goods satisfying the check-list. Do they have delicious looking cakes/cookies on the website? Check. Are all baked goods vegan? Check. Is their customer service prompt, professional and friendly? My questions regarding orders were replied back with 2 separate emails the following morning. Check. Check. Ready to order I called on Monday and spoke to Jennifer, the same person who I had been corresponding with. I told her the occasion and said that I was hoping to have the cake delivered by Friday since my wife's family was going to meet us that weekend. Normally there is a 1 week lead time, but she said she would try to get the cake delivered by Saturday. Saturday rolls around and at noon my mother-in-law looks outside and says she thinks the person from the bakery is here. I go outside and it is Jennifer. She is personally delivering the cake inside a wonderful gift bag WITH an anniversary card AND she's included 12 complimentary cookies ("one to commemorate each month of our marriage"). It is beyond thoughtful. These are the types of moments that Yelp, business reviews and word-of-mouth was made for. The cake and cookies were very good (moist, soft and unbelievably vegan) but it was Jennifer's extra care and effort that took what was a special trip and occasion and made it that much more memorable for us. Frankly, thinking back on it, I'm still blown away that this type of care exists. From my wife and our family, thank you very much to Jennifer + Underscores Bakery!
