We work with master gardeners and designers so we don't generally hire LJ for landscaping. The total paid to LJ including labor and supplies was approx $30,000. Many of the projects were completed to our delight, some to our satisfaction, and most recently we noticed a slip in quality. Overall we recommend LJ. And would suggest Ro anyone engaging them to walk everything down - grading, elevation, proper footing, dimensions, methods TWICE. Go over everything twice. Make sure you are on the same page and that the final intended put-through end result is CLEAR. We contacted more than 5 different contractors; some of which were rather uninterested in even performing an estimate. On the contrary, Dave with HL Design was prompt in contacting me (same day that I inquired via home advisor) as well as coming by my property and performing an estimate. We received 3 different estimates, and ultimately chose HL Design seeing as his was the best combination of value and quality body of work. The job itself turned out excellent and was completed on the timeline we had agreed to. One other thing I found interesting was that all other contractors felt they could easily disconnect and reconnect my AC unit since we wanted the unit to sit on the patio itself. HL design however suggested we call a professional to have this service done. This may have been an added cost but I believe it was the right advice seeing as there is much more that went into this than I had expected. I used Tony with Urbana HVAC for this and he was awesome in coming out on very short notice. That said, very happy with the work of HL design and we will surely enjoy our new outdoor living space as the weather starts to warm up!

Once we had a chance to review he and the crew were off and running. The overall job done is simply amazing. We had them clean up our front yard (it looks nice now!!!) and remove a tree.
