Grease Monkey #14-8080 E. Mississippi Ave Denver, CO

I was sexually assaulted by one of the technicians at 8080 E. Mississippi Ave Denver,CO while getting my oil changed. It happened a couple of months ago, however, I am still traumatized. Stay far away from Grease Monkey #14!!!!

This is the only place I go to get my oil changed. I trust these people and always leave with a piece of mind, which is very important to me; there's not a lot of people you can trust with your car. If there's an issue with my car I know they can guide me on what to do with their expertise. They are always professional and nice people. Josh and his team always go out of their way to help. Highly recommend, you won't regret!

Like most mom n pop shop, this place is a gem! Super nice and polite family that will work on your car carefully and thoroughly. Another thing I really appreciate about this auto shop is that I will never have to worry about being ripped off from these people. Pricing for conventional oil change is a little bit more than other chain auto joints but I would totally pay more for a peace of mind and effortless experience. Highly recommend! P/s: the main office will be on your right as soon as you turn after the yellow "50c car wash" sign from Parker.

First I want to say I tried out this grease monkey because they had no wait and they were near the vet I take my dog to. I dropped off my pupper and came in here for a much needed oil change. It took a solid 5 minutes to flag down a staff member because they don't come into the waiting area often. The access is wonky, you can only drive in from EB mississippi, so the approach was awkward. They charged me close to $70 for an oil change. It's a steep price! I've never paid more than $40 at other leading businesses. Grease Monkey neglected to rotate my tires, they neglected tell me my front brakes were almost entirely gone, and didn't bother to notice that I had a leak from under my car. Oh, but I was in and out in under 20 minutes. I would much rather wait the extra 10 minutes and find out if my car needs anymore work. I feel like I got a $25 service for almost triple what I paid. I recommend going elsewhere for quality service. If you want a quick service this is a good place to go, otherwise I recommend taking your hard earned money elsewhere.

While there they gave a long list of services that my car needed. I literally cannot afford all of that so I asked what absolutely needed/ necessary to happen before my roadtrip to MN two days from that point. One of the services that was deemed "urgent" was replacing the fluid in the rear differential. Well the next time I drove my car (roadtrip) not long into the drive my car violently jerked while I was on cruise control. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I cautiously drove the rest of the way home. I realized that the car was jolting when accelerating from a stop once I got to MN and was off the interstate so I took it in to the dealership. The guy we talked with there said that they do not service the rear differential or do not offer the service that was provided at Jiffy lube. The total cost to fix was five GRAND (keeping in mind i went to jiffy lube in the first place because I had a coupon) anyways they are denying all responsibility and Brooke (the manager) on several occasions said she would call me back, then proceeded to never do that over the course of like 8 calls with her (not even once) then EMAILED me the results of their insurances findings (they aren't responsible and won't be paying) even though not once have we ever communicated by email and she was supposed to call me back to discuss any new information she discovered regarding this whole issue. The whole thing has just been swept under the rug and I'm really upset that I went there in the first place. I felt like I could trust the technicians there and I was just wrong. Will never be going back. Not to mention when telling friends and family about this whole experience, everyone I've talked to seems to have a Jiffy Lube horror story of their own. Wishing I had heard them before I went to get my car serviced there!

After nearly three months…read moreof delays and almost $10,000 in costs, I had to tow the car and engine separately to another mechanic. Kearny Garage repeatedly promised to finish the car but failed to do so, overcharged me--including duplicate fees--lost parts I supplied, and damaged existing parts. When the second mechanic completed the work, he found numerous issues with Kearny Garage's repairs, including improperly installed new heads that allowed coolant to leak into the engine and could have destroyed it. Had Kearny Garage completed the work as it was, the engine likely would have failed immediately and required replacement. I then had to spend thousands of dollars correcting Kearny Garage's work, and I was unable to enjoy driving my convertible for months. Kearny Garage presents itself as a locally owned neighborhood auto shop, but it is actually owned by Sun Auto, a national auto service conglomerate. I also learned that the mechanic often takes shortcuts to complete jobs faster than the time billed to customers, and management appears to support that practice. The store manager was arrogant, condescending, and showed little concern for customer service. Fortunately, some locally owned automotive garages remain in the neighborhood and still value customers over profit.

This was going to be a five star review until I looked up the parts pricing on Google versus what I…read morewas charged on their invoice and that I specified I wanted aftermarket parts, not OEM. Basically feel like I was taken for at least $180 and up to $400 bucks. Quite the bummer as everything else about my experience was so good, I didn't even mind the $130/hr service rate. A shame. Something in my 2009 Nissan Versa blew up and ALL the warning and error lights lit up on the dash. Car would crank but not start. I thought it was probably the fuel pump but beyond my current ability to diagnose and repair. Had it towed to ATR. They were prompt in diagnosing and David called me to discuss the necessary part. I asked for aftermarket but by the price listed on the invoice they charged me OEM MSRP $486, which leaves me very disappointed. I found the same part for $355 on the NISSAN WEBSITE, $330 via simple Google search at local autoparts stores, and other aftermarket on Amazon and ebay for $50-$60. So, I could have literally walked or taken the bus two miles away to the auto parts store and saved $150, or ordered online and saved $400 bucks. Again, quite disappointed with this markup, especially given $130/hr service rate. They also found my one of my axles was leaking. He quoted me a full replacement of the axle but it turned out they could just replace the boot so it was quite a bit less than the quote when I got there to pay and pickup my vehicle. Sadly, overcharged for this part as well - paid $79, found on Nissan's website for $46, ebay for $36. Turnaround time was quick. Labor is $130 an hr as I mentioned, they have all the tools and knowledge to diagnose and repair so I don't have a problem with that rate, but the parts pricing thing is disappointing. (Oil change was $35 including oil and filter. Tire rotation for $16, reasonable.) The office is very clean and minimal.
