I brought the vehicle in to have my winter wheels swapped for my summer set. At drop-off, the vehicle had 39,784 miles. During the visit, the owner represented that he owned an Audi R8 RWS and was experienced working on these vehicles, including performing oil changes. During the service, I was instructed that the vehicle needed to be driven while one quart below the maximum oil level. I was also informed that the car would be test driven, and it was taken off-site before being returned and "topped off" prior to being released back to me. Additionally, payment for the service was requested via Venmo to a personal account rather than through a standard business payment method (documentation available and attached with identifying details redacted). Within approximately 30 miles of driving after the service (at approximately 39,815 miles), the vehicle experienced catastrophic engine failure. The vehicle had to be towed (photo documentation available). The car was subsequently inspected at Grove Automotive 2.0. I was informed that the oil filter contained significant copper material, and an oil analysis performed at that facility also indicated elevated copper levels. I was advised that these findings can be associated with severe internal engine damage (supporting documentation attached). Following this inspection, I received repair estimates exceeding $70,000. Given the extremely short interval between the service performed and the engine failure, along with the practices described above and the findings from the inspecting facility, I have serious concerns regarding the quality and standard of work performed on my vehicle. I am sharing this experience to document the issue and to encourage others to exercise caution, particularly when entrusting high-value or high-performance vehicles to this shop. I recommend that consumers fully document all work performed and consider obtaining a second opinion before authorizing service. This statement reflects my personal experience and is supported by the documentation referenced above.

My vehicle was perfectly fine when I arrived for my appointment at 9am. Joe disrespected me as a woman, I was told I was lucky it decided to break down and refuse to start, suddenly, 5 feet in front of his bay door, He refused to give the battery a full charge or replace it as I requested. He immediately blamed the starter. He pulled every slimy trick a mechanic could. My vehicle was trapped there and I was told to call an Uber and leave. I LM at 1:30, he instead called my husband back at the very end of business day at 4:55 with "diagnoses" and quote for repair and was upset when phone was handed to me & I spoke to him even though it is my car and I am dealing with it. The very end of next day was my when my car was released to me, over 400 bucks later. He refused to hand over the starter, All this right before July 4th weekend when no one was available to look at it and confirm this supposed repair was needed. I have a new mechanic looking at it next week after he gets off vacation because now I have no idea what he did to it as it was perfectly fine when we pulled in other than those couple of cosmetic repairs I needed a quote on. Keith took the time and drove around with me with the truck hooked up to the scanner and he finally concluded it was the idle purge valve and fixed it on the spot. A few months later I blew a brake line and he had it fixed same day. I bought the truck with some fuel issues and had Keith put in a new fuel pump and he was very reasonably priced and had it back to me in two days. Then this morning on my way to work I blew a transmission coolant line and he fixed it and had it back to me the same day. All the previous repairs are great still. The new mechanic pointed out that some of the old parts were still on the car meaning the new parts I paid for were never installed. That raised serious concerns: Did Linton keep the new parts for personal use and just take the money? I asked for a refund, and he only gave back $400 despite doing no real work and leaving my car in worse condition. I lost $1,100 and had to pay another shop to replace my engine properly. As a teacher with no second income, this was financially and emotionally devastating. I trusted him because he worked in a shop but that trust was a costly mistake.
