The manager went above and beyond my expectations to keep my business, he even honored a competitor's coupon, vacuumed my car, and got it all done in under an hour (new tire, balanced, and an oil change). There were other people waiting, and they were pleased with their service too. Now, i need all new tires and an oil change, I'm heading back because of how great my experience was last time. Update: 6/4/19, adding a 6th star for Mr Tire, Oaklyn, led by Mgr Ron, but on this day, I was kindly helped by John and Karl. They removed a screw from my tire on this rainy day, and they did it with smiles and great attitudes. They didn't even know about my fabulous history of great service at this location, but they promptly fixed my tire and had me back on the road in minutes. Best of all, no charge! MR. TIREs assistant manager Noel, argued that AUTOZONE was at fault for selling Mr. Tire defective sensors, as if we should take our complaint to AutoZone. So I reviewed Mr Tire and got a response that said if I needed more assistance to call the "store owner." So I called and was put on the line with a technician (Todd?). Todd said the store didn't operate like that being 'individually owned' as it's corporate. So he finally put me on with NOEL, an assistant manager who behaved unprofessionally, was defensive and laughed at the situation. Also, NOEL gave me a corporate phone number (800-297-9886) that did not help at all. Those folks had to give me a different phone number to call. MR. TIREs assistant manager Noel, argued that AUTOZONE was at fault for selling Mr. Tire defective sensors, as if we should take our complaint to AutoZone. The point of this review is Mr Tire does not support its customers. We bought four new sensors with our tires. They turned out to all be defective. Now here is what led to this situation. Now for the events that led to aforementioned. In August 2024 we needed new tires. The tires were original to our 2018 Subaru Outback. We took the car to the Glassboro Mr Tire and had all four tires replaced. The total was $1137. In November of that year we noticed the TPMS light continuously coming on, so we took the car back to the Glassboro Mr Tire and they recommended we replace one of the sensors so we did. The total was about $115. About 14 months later, it started happening again. So we brought it to the Oaklyn Mr Tire because we had moved. They checked the sensors and recommended that ALL 4 be replaced. They said they have to be replaced every couple of years. But that's weird because we're older and this has never happened to us in our entire lives before using Mr Tire. So I googled it and yes, tire sensors do go bad--every 6-10 years!! Not in 14 months!! They outlive the life of the tire!! The four new sensors cost us $595 instead of $460, which is the Glassboro location's price multiplied by four. So far these tires have cost us $1847!! This is some kind of scam Mr Tire, especially the Oaklyn location, has running. We decided to have them all replaced because we were upset and didn't know what to do. We should have just left. But when this happens again--and it will--we will go to Tire Kingdom or even the dealership just to be treated like human beings. We are so mad!! Don't go to Mr Tire--it's a scam company!! went to shop a few times to receive what I thought was a brake job done correctly to this day I am still hearing noise and being told by the OAKLYN location nothing is wrong with my car. I took it to the mount ephraim location only to be told the brakes were not lubricated properly and they had to take and in depth look and a step may have been missed . I need my car for work and now am in a spot I have to rent a car for my job because I risk losing my job over vehicle maintenance issues which I shoudnt even be dealing with now . my next step is contacting the better buisness bureau to see what can be done about this. I needed two new front tires about a year ago and went here for it, one tire popped about half a year later which wasn't too alarming, I brought it in to get my warranty and it was suddenly no longer part of my warrant. They put on a new tire and everything was fine for a while. Until I went to a different place to get my back tires replace, then got told that my front tires completely the wrong size. I went back here to figure out what happened and they had ordered and charged me for the correct tires and then put on the complete wrong tires! Not the same brand or size at all! looking at the price of tires I got I was also overcharged and can only assume thats why there was no warranty available (and possibly why it popped out of nowhere). I've now had to buy new front tires from another place because I never want these guys touching my car again. They also told me there's nothing that could be done about it now which I understand, but maybe they could try getting it done right the first or second time. THIS PLACE PUT MY FAMILY IN DANGER! I took my car in for a simple oil change. Afterwards, my car said my brake fluid was low. I took it to my mechanic and, after inspecting the car, said whomever changed my oil purposefully drained my brake fluid so that the sensor would fire off. I asked if the amount they took out could cause me to lose my brakes and they said yes. They drained my brake fluid in an attempt to get me to come back in so they could get another service fee and put my family's lives in danger to do it. read more

Actual service to my car was perfectly fine. Had a nail in my tire. Was fixed in a little over an hour (wait time=meh). Manager (Greg?) was miserable. He was rude from the start of my interaction but I brushed it off. It was a hot day and he seemed busy. Everyone has bad days. But I got ticked off once I knew my car service was complete and I still wasn't being called up to pay. The mechanic pulled my car to the front of the store and parked it - It sat there over 15 minutes. I would've said something but wanted to see how long this miserable person would take. The manager was more concerned with his lunch delivery arriving than getting a customer paid for and on their way. Side note: he called every women that came into the shop "Hun" or "honey". Are belittling and sexist nicknames still a thing? Cringe. Get with the times dude, it's 2021. There's plenty of Mr. Tires in the area. I'll find my way to a new one next time. read more

Absolute crooks. Needed a rack and pinion done. They charged me double the retail price (not their discounted rate, double the RETAIL! - like buy it at full price and double it). The service advisor was combative for no reason. They called me to tell me it would be a few days before the part was in. So I was looking at what options I had because my wife needed her car back. I called to let them know they were overpriced and I was going to take it down the street. They told me they had already taken it apart (even though it was only an hour after I first spoke to him) and would have to charge me for a flush, fill and to put it back together. I was pissed to say the least. I asked him why they took it apart knowing the part wasn't going to be there in a few days (we all know the answer here, to strong arm me into the repair). After some heated conversation back and forth they dropped the price from $1800 to $1400 which was still about $400 more then the guy down the street for the same exact repair with the same exact part. They charged me $730 for the rack and pinion when at full retail it was $349 (which we all know they didn't pay full retail). I was going to tow it to the other shop but at that point it was going to end up costing me more so I let them do the repair. To top this terrible experience off, when I got the car back it was now running rough (don't ask me why) and there was now grinding in the front end. I took it back over to them this morning and they still have it and are looking into what they screwed up now. Needless to say, steer clear from this shop!!! Staff is super friendly, and went above and beyond to fix an issue that presented itself while working on it in order to ensure the job was thoroughly completed. Took the car to the dealer: turns out the passenger rear brake caliper and wheel speed sensor were not installed correctly and left off by Mr. Tire. Really deserves 0 stars for customer service, ability to diagnose issues properly, and price. Incorrectly replaced 2 tires to correct a problem they diagnosed that had nothing to do with the tires. Asked for a discount to do the actual repair and they offered a few dollars off that still left the price higher than their competitors. Don't let them do any auto repairs unless you want to pay more money for poor workmanship and service. Update: I was offered a refund for the 3 tires they replaced. Mr Tire was right down the street from me, so I figured they could do a simple 10 minute plug job, I could pay them and be on my way. Boy was I wrong, all I got from some 20 something year old dude was "sorry bro were booked solid and close in an hour. I asked him is he knew any other places and all I got was "nah I'm not really from around here". Now I'm sitting in my driveway with a flat tire. Absolutely useless. I see on other reviews here that they've helped people in an pinch on the fly. Not sure why they couldn't handle a 10 minute plug job. Never again. read more

Mr. Tire has been my go to place for a number of years. I initially went there for tires and then started having oil changes and other services done. When I first started going the manager at the time was fantastic, after he left I noticed a big difference in workmanship. The new manager and employees that are currently there are awful. I recently brought my car in for an oil change and some other issues I was having. I was told by the manager my car was not due for an oil change and they would check the other issues I was having. A week after I picked up my car the same issue I brought the car in for was still happening. I called the manager he claimed I didn't tell him about that issue or he misunderstood. Fast forward to 3 weeks later, the oil change that I "didn't need" resulted in my car having just about no oil in the engine. Time to find a new mechanic. read more

Ron over at Mr. Tire really helped me out. About 30 minutes before they were closing I rolled up with a bad tire. They found the nail and did a nice patch job and even stayed a few minutes past close to finish up the job. The patch was somewhat expensive, but I would have been really screwed (no pun intended) without their help. Overall everyone was fairly friendly and they kept my car clean while doing the job (paper floor mats and such). The waiting room wasn't much of a room and the magazine selection wasn't great, but oh well, not a big deal. read more

Wouldn't use again or recommend this location. Few things that bothered me. I come in to get a tire patched. Waited over a hour to be told its not patchable because nail in inside tire wall or whatever, so they recommend a new tire at $170 per tire, they also recommend getting 4 new tires at $170 a piece, meaning $680 when I still have good tires on my car, if anything maybe recommend 2 tires so I wouldn't have one odd ball but 4, they was just trying to get the most money out of me. On top of that I drive a old 2010 Ford Explorer, no way I need a $170 tire, don't start with your highest price like everybody has money to blow. Then of course they look at my brakes in the back because they know I spent over $600 for them to do my brakes in the front about 6 months or less ago, and they recommend that, so now we are at a bill coming to over $1300, when initially i only came in to get a tire patched. Not to mention my truck is front wheel drive and my brakes were absolutely fine. So anyway of course being told im looking at a over $1300 bill, feeling that im just being taken advantage of for the most money, I say "no thank you" to everything and decide to take my car to another auto shop. Of course they try to scare you with how important it is to get everything taken care of right now and crap, but I didn't feed in because at the end of the day it was more so about how much money they can get out of you then the actual need of my car. So they say wait while they put your car back together which i hate because now they mad you don't do nothing they recommend and who knows what they do to your car after that while you wait another 30-60 minutes for them to "put your car back together". Now i get in my car, my brakes are all soft, and my electric driving side chair doesn't work. Ironic right? I ended up going to a tire shop in Burlington, got a new tire for $89, which came to $112 after the added fees, and quoted for my brakes in the back, rotors and brake pads for around $300, which ill end up going back to get done or do myself. Although this shop and location is so close to my home, will definitely always by pass here on out. read more

For more years than I can count, I've taken my car to Mr. Tire in Oaklyn, N.J. whenever my car needed repair or maintenance. Last Wednesday I had a gas leak, so I had my car towed to Mr. Tire by AAA. Normally, they have my car properly fixed and running safely the same day. However, this leak was a mystery for even detective Columbo, yet I was constantly kept informed by phone regarding the status of my car. The manager Ronald Murphy and his mechanics, including Carl, assured me they were going to get my car safely running again. They tried several tests until they discovered it was a combination issue involving my fuel pump and an issue of water/gas separation since I had not been driving some time because I was recovering from an operation. When I picked up my car, Carl explained to me in detail all the tests they did and educated me on the root of the problem. My car has been running safely and beautifully since I picked it up. Ronald Murphy and his mechanics are honest, hard-working professionals who will take as much time as needed to answer your questions and who will ensure your car is properly fixed and running safely before you drive it off their lot. Also, these guys are ethical and honest and will never rip you off. These are not only highly capable men who have a vast knowledge of car repair and maintenance, but they are also men of INTEGRITY. I was about to leave for work, but noticed that I had a flat tire. Despite the busy three day weekend, Mr Tire helped fit us in and replaced the tire in record time. Also, they went the extra mile to help call a different Mr Tire location where we had initially bought the tires and get them to fax over the warrantee information-- ultimately, leading to a discount. I stopped in because my tire was losing air. I was told I needed an appointment. They put air in the tire, and I went back on Sunday because you don't need an appointment on Sundays. I was the 2nd one there , it was 9:15 am. I left the car for them to look at the tire. I called back around noon because I hadn't heard anything. I was told they haven't looked at it yet but I was the next to go into the bay. Called back at 2:30 it still was not looked at. Are you kidding me! I told he I was going to come and just pick it up and deal with it tomorrow. With that he yelled at the guys to take my car next, and that it would be done soon. I got a call a half hour later that the car had a screw in it and that it could be fixed. Meanwhile , I called The Cherry Hill Mr Tire, and told them that my tire was losing air, and asked if I could bring it in for them to look at. I was told yes, Bring it over before 3 and they will squeeze it in . I asked if I waited till tomorrow would I need an appointment . He said no, not for that. Wow, I guess its a matter of perspective. Somethings are easy for some , and just to difficult for others. I will never go back to Mr Tire in Oaklyn. Nor will I recommend them to anyone. But at the end of the day, they were nice in person and on the phone, and my tire got fixed. read more

This used to be my go to place for any car needs but no longer. This place has gotten worse over time. I had 4 tires replaced for my car in November 2019 and was told at the time that tire package (I.e rotation, flat tire repair, replacement, etc) was included in the package at the time. However, that was not true. The service manager lied at the time and I forgot to check it on the invoice. I thought it would have been included as my other car also received 4 tires couple of years ago which did included above package. Fast forward in February 2020, I had a flat tire in the new car which just (in November 2019) had tires replaced. They told that tire must be changed because the nail was in the sidewall. They also told me they would charge hefty 50$ and change to fix the flat (if it was fixable) and they couldn't do anything else if the flat couldn't be repaired. I told that I have the package when I bought the tire so the guy said that whoever made the invoice didn't put it in there so he couldn't do anything. I said that I have been coming here for past 8 years and he said that it is nice that I am loyal but he wouldn't be able to help. I feel like they scammed me because the manager told me package was included when I purchased the tires. Now, I must buy a whole new tire because the manager couldn't be honest. Save yourself and go to pep boys or tire rack or any other store for that matter since this location doesn't value customer loyalty. read more

This is by far the best Mr Tire. I have been to 3 others locally but the service and friendliness of this shop is beyond compare. They are honest and their work is done quickly and reliably. I went in for a generic scraping noise yesterday and they looked at my car and told me what needed to be done which was to re attach a lower engine cover. I was thinking it was going to be expensive but it was just a few bolts that had to be put in and they did it at no charge. I offered to pay for labor and they refused. Scam artists!!! I dropped my car off for an oil change and was called to come pick it up a few hours later. The man calling told me "my transmission seemed to have an issue and my car was shifting gears slowly". I knew something was wrong right away, since my car was 100% fine going in, but I stayed calm on the phone and went over there to get it. As I was getting my keys from him he started saying "he wasn't sure how long my car would last" and that "my car shifted gears slowly". He was also looking at strangely,like he was nervous. I continued to be calm and went to my car. It was not shifting slowly, it was NOT SHIFTING AT ALL. The car was completely undrivable and I had to put the emergency brake on and leave it in the parking lot. I then went back and proceeded to completely lose my shit on the two men working behind the counter. 1) I had just driven it there a few hours ago from over an hour away, and had been able to shift gears perfectly fine. 2) Your transmission does not magically blow like that, I would have seen signs of it way before it got to the point of not being able to move. 3) I COULD NOT HAVE DRIVEN IT THERE IN THAT CONDITION. After I let them know that I knew that they had broken my transmission somehow, they scrambled to get my car back into the garage ( it had to be pushed back in since it was now undrivable) they fixed my car after I informed them that I'm not a clueless female and that I know what a transmission is and that I would know if it was broken. After raising hell they magically "remembered" they leaked transmission fluid during the oil change (which is basically impossible to do accidentally) and that that's what was wrong. Never take your car in for anything without being informed especially if you're a girl they will try to scam you! Know enough that you can call someone out on their bullshit! If they tell you a part is broken tell them you want them to save the supposedly broken part so you can see it! Do not let yourself become their victim. They kept insisting my transmission was blown when it came in, when there was no possible way I could not have driven it that far to get there when they couldn't even drive it into the garage! Lying scam artists! Also if I HAD been able to drive my car with the transmission fluid as low as they apparently had it, I would've ACTUALLY blown my transmission, which is probably what they were hoping for so they could fix it, it's a VERY expensive repair. read more

If you have work done here, keep your receipts. I had a set of tires installed, and included the road hazard package. Two years later I had a screw in a tire and brought it in for repair. At first they said there would be a charge until I said I'd purchased the road hazard coverage. They asked if I had the receipt because apparently they didn't have it in their system. Friendly service techs, quick service, and fixed broken car. Before taking the car, I considered doing the repair at home, but could not get to the broken starter without a lift. When they called with the quote to repair, they quoted $265 for the starter, but it was only $130 at Autozone (with lifetime warranty) when I called earlier and was considering doing the job myself. I asked Mr Tire to find a cheaper supplier, they call back with a $170 price 3 year warranty, which seemed good enough. Beware of the prices they charge for parts, otherwise they did well. read more
