I'm looking for a vintage black t shirt sold here in the 80's? My father recently passed and my mom told me a story about him wearing one when they first met. Hoping to find one to gift her.

They do have a gift shop with black tee shirts, hats , shot glasses. The girls are happy to show you the "goods". They are nice and helpful.

This place was very interesting. I spent 4 years of my life in Anchorage before visiting koots. I…read morefeel like Koots is somewhat of an institution to the town so I was definitely curious about the bar. I'm glad I went to check it out, but outside of going there for a show I don't see myself going back. Seriously gave me college bar/frat house basement party vibes. Considering I went to a Big 10 school in the middle of Illinois I'm very well versed in that type of establishment/vibe. It's not exactly the kind of place I want to go to as a 30 something year old. I went there for a burlesque show. Shout out to Pulse Dance Company! The show was amazing and tons of fun. The bar itself I don't think has had any updates since like maybe 1995, and that estimate is probably generous. This bar was probably the place to be when it first opened, but now it's kind of just tired and sad. It could probably be better if they took the time & money to renovate it, but they don't really have an incentive since people go there regardless. Koot's kind of just exists, but considering Anchorage is the biggest metropolitan area Alaska has it's a confusing type of establishment to find here. If you're looking to party though it seems to be the spot!

I loved this place…read more First time here, first time in Alaska, actually. My gf is vegan and we were looking for somewhere that could accommodate her dietary needs and found 49th State Brewing. She got the Vegan Buddha Bowl, I got the Mt. Magnificent burger, and we shared the Mexican street corn. Everything was exceptional. Her strawberry lemonade was delicious, I got a hard cider- we were both happy. We skipped dessert because the food we ordered was already more than enough. I want to give a special shout-out to Forrester. This guy --- amazing. Knowledgeable about the menu, quick to give me his opinion when I asked for it (without me feeling like I'm being upsold) attentive to our needs and patient while we made our decisions. The man excels in communication and hospitality. I don't know what you're paying him but he deserves more. I watched him serve multiple tables at once including a massive party of 12-15 people and at no point did I feel as though we were neglected. By the end of our meal I flagged him down to make sure he knew what an exceptional job he did for us while juggling half a dozen other parties at the same time. I normally tip 20-25%, 15% for bad service -- Forrester got 40% from me. If you go here make sure you ask for him.

It's nice to be able to have a beer while waiting on take out food from Familia!…read more Anchorage Brewing sure isn't making it easy to pick a beer with many good choices. One of the best beers I've had so far is A deal with the devil double oaked! This beer is made to enjoy! On the sweet side with a hint of caramel or toffee. A sample since glass is plenty for me! It's never really busy when I stop by so it's usually pretty quiet which makes for great opportunities to talk to staff members. They all are so patient, which is appreciated! They have a way to always suggest the best beer depending on what you are in the mood for. All in all, this brewery is a great place to meet up with friends or family.

Unfortunately, they do not offer beer flights, so Colby created his own half-glass sampler, which did the trick. The brewery itself was pretty neat, with large beer barrels incorporated into the décor, including one that guests can actually sit in. Their beer selection was on the smaller side, but we felt the prices were fair. I ordered the Blind Berry Cider, which had a pleasantly tart flavor, though it leaned toward the extra sour side. We thought this spot was great for Instagram photos and a worthwhile stop if you have some extra time while you're in town. Overall, it was okay. I do wish we had known about the outdoor seating options beforehand, as we found the indoor seating area to be somewhat limited. The glassware was pretty cool as well, with several different sizes available. The bathrooms were clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We would definitely return if we find ourselves back in town again.
