Halibut was fantastic, the fries were horrible. The restaurant is an old established place in Anchorage. The service was horrible. At first I thought I was at Dirty Dicks in Myrtle Beach, then I realized this person was just beyond rude to my party. Needless to say, there are plenty of other options in Anchorage... I won't be back.

First time trying halibut and fries and so happy that it was here!!! It was truly worth the hype, the flavor and texture of the fish were perfect. It was plentiful and very affordable! It came with fries which were perfectly brown, I loved every bite. They also have a "help yourself" block of cheese which I thought was kind of cool. Only giving this place 4 stars because the service was not good. There were 2 women working the entire restaurant which I understand may have been a lot but they were pretty short and rude when my friends and I asked questions, one of them would answer the question, not even wait for a response and walk away.. I will be back for the food, definitely not for the service.

Was in town for a conference from Sunday to early Friday morning. I ate at F Street Station 3 times during that visit! Had the Caesar salad with salmon my first night in town. It was great and I enjoyed every bite of it. The "show" I got to see and be part of between the salty old cook and other patrons (and myself) was part of the charm of this place! Smitty, I believe his name is, was hilarious. Came back with a friend a day or two later and had calamari and Alaskan halibut fish & chips. The Jalapeños aoili was so good I could drink it! The calamari were great! I'd seen them my first visit and they looked life changing - they didnt look as good when I got them, but they were still delicious if not a little greasy. Had the fish & chips again on my final visit. The Texas size portion is the normal portion, while the Alaska size is a large serving because, ya know, we're in Alaska where everything is bigger! I will absolutely go back if I return to Anchorage. I might even be tempted to go to Anchorage simply so I can go back to F Street!

Incredible place! This was the food highlight of our visit to Anchorage. PARKING & LOCATION // Located in downtown, parking is mostly available on the street which isn't too hard to find! AMBIANCE & SERVICE // The restaurant feels like a half restaurant and half bar. We were a party of 3 and sat at the bar since there was a decent wait. We went on a Saturday night and it was super busy! It was fun to see the food being prepared and even though we were at the bar, the service was still great. It feels like you can come here for date night, a casual night for friends, or to grab drinks and meet people. FOOD // Food was incredible! Between the 3 of us, we ordered: STEAMED CLAMS: This was the star of the night. The clams were cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. We soaked up as much of the sauce as possible. ESCARGOT: This was really good but I'd pass on it next time. There was only 6 of them so it felt a bit steep for not much protein. Still garlicky, cheesy, and buttery though. CALAMARI: The portion is large! Great to sharing and delicious. OYSTERS: Yummy oysters but nothing that stood out! Still enjoyed them but nothing stood out. OVERALL // 5 stars Truly the best food we had on the whole trip! Will be thinking about those clams for awhile.

Delicious food, but very busy, understaffed bar. We came on a Thursday night and upon entering, the servers were found running around and helping others. We were not greeted and there was no wait list to sign up for. I had to ask a waitress after a while how to even get a seat, to which she said "just grab an open seat when it's available." The poor service was frustrating, but understandable given how understaffed the restaurant was. Now onto the food - I ordered the salmon salad, soup of the day, and halibut and chips. The salmon is freshly caught, Alaskan salmon and it was market price. For $35, price is steep but the flavor was delicious. The salmon is definitely one of the freshest I've had, and the grilled salmon was seasoned very well. I generally don't care for seafood but this dish impressed me. The soup was alright- it was salmon with bacon and corn and the salty bacon overpowered the flavor of the whole soup. Wouldn't order that again. Lastly, the halibut and chips were good but price also was steep. Halibut had good flavor and the batter was good too. Chips were also fried well! Definitely would recommend.

This local restaurant opens at 10am for drinks but starts food service at 11am. The local vibe is very chill and our waitress was very friendly. It was recommended to get the halibut sandwich. It was amazing and cooked well. It did not disappoint at all. Great for sharing. Oysters were the freshest I have ever had and smooth.

Service is friendly pretty much seat yourself. Ambiance is loud much like a sports bar atmosphere. Food is great I did order a grilled Halibut for myself and it was delicious. Crunchy and crispy fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I especially loved the tartar sauce it tasted sweet and unique. Perfect place for lunch or dinner. Not bad price for a good sandwich and fries

Free millatock sharp cheddar, help yourself. Yep, this is a local hangout not a humpy Sefort 49th state tourist trap.

Stopped about 7 pm weeknight for cocktails. The entrees looked great snd bountiful, unlike 49th, Seafort's and humps offerings. Eat and drink here and you will feel appreciated and happy. Friendly service and friendly patrons.

This has been my go to place for dinner in Anchorage for nearly 25 years. I've just made it a habit to get whatever's on special for the night and it's never let me down. The food is always top-notch. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Love this place.

Excellent! I was born and raised in Florida. These were the largest oysters I've ever seen. The breading on both the oysters and calamari were perfect. The concierge at The Captain Cook hotel recommended F Street Station. And I'm so glad he did. The food was excellent.

Food was awesome! Their house made Caesar dressing is the best I've had across the country. We sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive. The place was so cool with all the different plane-related stickers

This is a very busy place but one of a few places that is open past midnight. Food is ok- large portions & staff are very friendly. You just have to fetch a seat for yourself

It features a blend of barstool window seats, barstool bar seats, high-top tables, and standard-height tables. We went for a very late lunch, which made the quick food delivery and yet under-attentive service a little perplexing. Having spent last summer in London, the attraction at TCT for us was comparing and contrasting Alaska Halibut Fish & Chips with the British fare. I wanted to like the Tent City offering; I really did not. For the price ($28/ea), we got three modest pieces of fish and the equivalent of two servings of chips. Both the fish and the chips were mushy (undercooked), with a heavy batter finish in contrast with the light and crisp British offering. The accompanying tarter sauce was an odd raspberry-and-blackberry concoction that my family and I called a pickle aftertaste. The presentation, for the price and the atmosphere, was a confusing combination of a metal basket lined with wax paper (like a 1950's drive-through), plastic water and soda glasses (like a college cafeteria), and real silverware. Other reviews have high praise for TCT so, on our next visit to Alaska, it will be good to give them another try. The bones of this establishment are in place for a really special experience, but, today, for me, it was just "ok."

I'm glad that they had beer flights because I was unable to decide what kind I wanted. With some assistance from the bartender I chose 4 beers and every single one of them was wonderful. The servers seemed a little new, but the service was good and friendly. They carry Frontier brand sodas which we found to be excellent for their flavor. We got root beer and ripe raspberry soda. I ordered the Chili AK Salmon Bowl which our server confirmed is wild salmon. My wife ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries. Both meals were really good. I especially liked the sauce on the salmon bowl so much so that I asked for a little more only to be charged for the extra sauce. I also noticed they include a service charge on the bill (note that this was not gratuity). They told us it was to help them get seasonal labor and to cover overhead. Maybe this is an Alaska thing, but with menu prices as high as these, why would you need to add a service charge? Pricing and nickel & diming aside, I would recommend this place.
