    Crème Brûlée

On our Princess land tour we stayed in Anchorage one night. Saw that GB had great ratings on Yelp. Had a couple fresh beers IPA and Raspberry wheat. The meals were great but the best was dessert crème brûlée! Servers were very friendly and helpful. Ambience was very cool and modern.

In town to transfer out from cruise. Stowed our carry on luggage at the Egan Center and this was a short walk from there. Great place! Loved the decorations and the vibe. Our waiter was super nice and was very attentive. The food was delicious. We all had some variation of fish. They were quick about moving tables, but did not rush you either. If I'm ever back in the area, this will be a must again.

We always have an amazing time, and this time they showed out yet again. I usually get a steak but this time I got the pasta. So good! I'm always relaxed because they take care of you and you never have to ask twice for anything. I'm sad they had stopped the bread, oil and vinegar but hey things change. I do recommend if you have a few people see if you can reserve the private room. You can play your own music, can sing if you want too... I do we do. You can have a birthday dinner in there and it's very private and exciting at the same time. Makes me feel like I have my personal butler.

Early lunch while working in Anchorage and Glacier Brewhouse hit the spot. I came in hard craving crab legs and had my eye on the Bering Sea King Crab, but $154 for a pound was a little too rich for lunchtime . I still splurged and ordered the 10 oz Red King Crab Legs for $77.50, not cheap, but YOLO. Zero regrets. The crab was super tender, sweet, and perfectly cooked. Honestly didn't even need the butter. I dipped one small bite out of habit and stopped right there, the flavor stands on its own. Yeah, it's pricey, but if you're in Alaska and want quality crab done right, this is the place. Would absolutely order it again.

I know I have reviewed Glacier Brew House but I have to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to the Bar staff this year!! Heather, Alix, Jackie, Natalie and Z! I hope I didn't forget anyone but the staff is so Amazing, very friendly and kind! During the 12 days of Barley Wine we were always treated like friends, they always had an amazing attitude during this holiday season. Noticed how kind they ALL were talking to people visiting Alaska for the first time & of course the atmosphere is phenomenal. Even the chefs would great us and say have a nice evening. Also Drew the Head Brewer would stop by and ask our thoughts about the Barley Wine. Merry Christmas to EVERYONE

Glacier BrewHouse was recommended by my concierge for seafood and ambiance. I suggest making reservations ahead of time since this is a popular restaurant. Wait times during my visit without a reservation was an hour on a week night. I really liked my server because she gave honest recommendations as to trying to sell the most expensive entrees. I got the seafood fettuccine. The sauce was was rich and creamy. The dish was filling with the salmon, scallops, and cod. I was going to get the chowder, but my server suggested not to since my dish was similar to the chowder......additional dollars added to her tip. Glacier BrewHouse gets five stars and many return visits.

This place was PACKED! But I think it's a local place for when all the cruise passengers come in to start their journeys in Alaska. The staff was very pleasant but the crowd was a lot. In terms of food, they have a big menu! The jalapeño cornbread was very good and he had the seafood fettuccini and I had the halibut special. Pretty good food - nothing crazy good. I would recommend if you're in Anchorage and looking for a quick bite! Nice atmosphere with bear cams! Try to get reservation as I overheard 1.5 hour wait when we were leaving last night.

Recommended. Food was wonderful, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our waiter, Travis, was super attentive and made perfect recommendations. The restaurant was very busy and it's an hour wait for a table at 5:30pm on a Wednesday night. I suggest reservations. Very comfortable seating, with an open kitchen concept. Great choice when only spending one night in town.

We had our work Christmas party here with about 10 of us. They placed us in a small room that was perfect for the size of our party. The waiter was fast and efficient with drink and food orders. Our group had a few appetizers - The Tower, the wings, pretzels with cheese. My favorite was the shrimp in the tower. The wings were a bit small and crunchy for my liking. For my entree I had the stuffed halibut and it was really good. Sometimes halibut can be dry and dense, this was perfect. It was actually larger than I could eat in one sitting, so I did have leftovers to take home. Needless to say I did not get to desert. We all had fun, exchanged gifts, ate drank and were MERRY.

Salmon BLT with upgraded King Salmon

Tried searching for the best restaurant in Anchorage while I was in town and saw this place. I was looking for fresh seafood and I found it. I went with the Salmon BLT and I upgraded the Salmon to the King Salmon. It was absolutely delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the bread choice for the sandwich. I took one bite and it crumbled into pieces. Next time I will try to swap out the bread, but everything was fantastic.

Had a bad experience last time I came but wanted some king crab with wifey and gave them another chance. The interior is absolutely beautiful with the high ceilings, exposed wood beams, and huge gas fireplace in the middle. Ordered the king crab for $150! Came with 1 1/4 pound of crab (3 crab legs), string beans, and Parmesan potato wedges. Crab was AMAZING but wow, very expensive! Server was nice but not very attentive. We had the bread pudding with ice cream for dessert and that is a MUST ORDER if you come. It's a great spot for a meal but they have room for improvement still.

We ordered Fish & Chips, Shrimp & Grits and Rockfish---all flavorful and beautifully plated. French fries were crunchy. Calamari was yummy, especially the aioli. We don't drink alcohol, but house made Root Beer was great. Service was attentive and really friendly. This place is super busy, but food came out fast. Large indoor structure, but felt like a festive brew hull.

Read fellow Yelp recommendations and quickly made reservations. My co workers were so excited to try Glacier Brewery (next door to Orso, where we had a group dinner the evening before). Boss was happy to see the price for their king crab was lower than several others, with an extra 1/4 lb offered to boot! He also had a generous serving of garlic parm potatoes and fresh green beans, which went home as leftovers! The gals had seafood fettuccine- which included salmon, halibut, shrimp, scallops, mushrooms, and spinach. Nice and rich, with al dente pasta. Yum! Dessert- we didn't go for the famous peanut butter option as the s'mores dish included ice cream;)! I had the mango sorbet which tasted like a fresh, sweet and tangy mango! The sodas are refillable, but you'll be too full to have more than one refill. The team left so happy we chose this venue among the many recommended options, and each said during the meal at some point, "Oh, I'm so happy!" LOL! By the way, this place is large and every table was filled. We now know why as well!

The restaurant had a nice interior atmosphere. The food was ok, but a little overpriced for what we got. The parking around it was not good.

What time does the dinner menu begin?

Don't know ! Call them to find out or go on their website.

I don't see the giant crab legs on the menu anymore. Is it seasonal? Is it offered as a special? Visiting Anchorage in May and want to come for this. Thanks!

They haven't had this on the menu on some time. There are other like places with giant crab legs close by, 49th State being the closest and equally good.

Where did the prime rib chili go it was so amazing? I know it's been many years since I've been there but I still cannot forget the taste of the prime rib chili so good

In speaking to the wait staff I learned they reduced their menu due to COVID. Hope they bring some favorites back soon.

I can't have dairy, eggs or wheat? Is there anything I can eat here?

If you can eat seafood or meat and veggies, there's plenty on the menu to satisfy.

    Do they do take out?

Yes we do you can call 907-274-2739

    Do you have Vegan options?

Not so many. Very limited vegetarian options.

Would like some suggestions on some cocktails available here please!? Is there a kid menu? Then your favorite thing off the menu too! Thanks

Not sure about cocktails, it's a brewery so I do beer (the blonde usually) There is a kid menu w pasta and a few other choices that comes with a drink and cookie ice cream sandwich and the seafood chowder is delicious.

Do you have to have a reservation in order to eat here?

No but I would recommend it! They get packed, however, we waited only 20 minutes to get seated and we were there at or around 730ish on a Tuesday.

I'm glad that they had beer flights because I was unable to decide what kind I wanted. With some assistance from the bartender I chose 4 beers and every single one of them was wonderful. I would absolutely go back if I'm ever in Anchorage again. It does get a little bit loud and it gets very crowded so be prepared to either wait, or sit at the bar. It is open seating, you check in at the host stand and they'll give you a menu and you just find a place to sit. All in all it was a wonderful time and the food was great. The servers seemed a little new, but the service was good and friendly. They carry Frontier brand sodas which we found to be excellent for their flavor. We got root beer and ripe raspberry soda. I ordered the Chili AK Salmon Bowl which our server confirmed is wild salmon. My wife ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries. Both meals were really good. I especially liked the sauce on the salmon bowl so much so that I asked for a little more only to be charged for the extra sauce. I also noticed they include a service charge on the bill (note that this was not gratuity). They told us it was to help them get seasonal labor and to cover overhead. Maybe this is an Alaska thing, but with menu prices as high as these, why would you need to add a service charge? Pricing and nickel & diming aside, I would recommend this place.

It features a blend of barstool window seats, barstool bar seats, high-top tables, and standard-height tables. We went for a very late lunch, which made the quick food delivery and yet under-attentive service a little perplexing. Having spent last summer in London, the attraction at TCT for us was comparing and contrasting Alaska Halibut Fish & Chips with the British fare. I wanted to like the Tent City offering; I really did not. For the price ($28/ea), we got three modest pieces of fish and the equivalent of two servings of chips. Both the fish and the chips were mushy (undercooked), with a heavy batter finish in contrast with the light and crisp British offering. The accompanying tarter sauce was an odd raspberry-and-blackberry concoction that my family and I called a pickle aftertaste. The presentation, for the price and the atmosphere, was a confusing combination of a metal basket lined with wax paper (like a 1950's drive-through), plastic water and soda glasses (like a college cafeteria), and real silverware. Other reviews have high praise for TCT so, on our next visit to Alaska, it will be good to give them another try. The bones of this establishment are in place for a really special experience, but, today, for me, it was just "ok."
