I decided to convert my single car garage into a gym. Once the garage had been cleared out, painted and floors put it I wanted gym mirrors put in. I got a few quotes for 2 6 ft pieces since my wall had an outlet in the center. I was quoted prices up to 900.00 because of the 2 pieces , cutting and install. I had gone with recommendations and that is what they mostly quoted I turned to Yelp and Safeway was one of the first to respond. While most said they had to come out in order to give me a price, Safeway was able to quote me a price based on my measurements, and the photos I sent. The price seemed great and he was willing to come out that weekend to measure. Very responsive throughout the week leading up to him coming and once he did come to measure turned out my measuring was slightly off and yet, still great pricing! Turns out, I had another window to repair and contracted him for that as well. The house was then undergoing some pretty major renovations, and I wanted a bifold door installed that took up the majority of the wall. He took care of installation AND recommended a vendor for the door itself that saved me at least $8k. Following a bathroom repair, we contacted Anthuan and his company to replace and reseal our shower panels. In February, the replacement/reseal was complete. By April, it was leaking. The company returned/added more silicon (with fingers crossed). Six weeks later, it was leaking again. We finally had our handyman fix it, and it's been holding. Replacing/resealing a shower panel can be tenuous; however, I expected a better outcome. Besides not having a final fix and frequent rescheduling of appointments due to Anthuans schedule, they were pleasant to deal with, quick to communicate, and willing to try to fix #3. Initially, I was reluctant to share my experience because of the 5-star reputation on Yelp; however, I realize how important reviews are in my decision-making. He gave me the date for our appointment, and he gave me his preferred time..... and then simply didn't show up (without even a text or phone call). Granted, he had set the appointment on new year's day.... and it's understandable that he wouldn't want to come on that day.... but that's not my responsibility (again, he offered the date, and he gave me the time he was available!). Anthuan later messaged me to say he had "completely missed this" (um, yes...) and offered to come another day, but the damage had been done. Oh, and here's the best part: When I responded to indicate that no, I would not be rescheduling, he responded (and I quote): "I am back in full time working with other people who are a bit more understanding and they are quite happy with me." Are you KIDDING me? Perhaps Anthuan is normally super responsive, polite, communicative and timely, but at this point I will never find out. **EDIT: After I posted this review, Anthuan would not stop sending me abusive and insulting notes (I had to block him on Yelp). And now, he's posted a complete fabrication in response, which he seems to be hoping will make him sound like an angel. In fact, I did not "insist" upon New Year's Day - any other day that week would have worked (considering I work from home and am in Covid lockdown, I'm remarkably flexible)! But even if I had "insisted" upon New Year's Day, that's totally irrelevant. All that matters is that Anthuan made an appointment on that day, offered a time that worked for him, and then didn't show up AND didn't call or text. He should have simply apologized and wished me well. His refusal to accept responsibility for his error is telling, and reaffirms my decision not to use his services. read more

Had to change review 2X. Anthuan just completely changed his original response to my review at 12:38 a.m. in the middle of the night on a Saturday morning. So now I am forced to continue to argue with this individual over two weeks after he installed his mirror in my apartment on January 16th. Yet another reason why I would have never let him step one foot in my apartment for any reason nor for any amount of money had I known how he was going to treat me in response to his 9-foot mistake. And, even though he's had two weeks and two days to clean up his publicly posted response, he is still: 1) complimenting his own work and service at every turn while without fail disregarding the fact that I am and have obviously been dissatisfied with his off-centered mirror since 30 minutes after he left my apartment and extremely dissatisfies with his tremendously bad customer service, which has included an onslaught of attempts to force me to bear the responsibility for his 9 ft X 1 1/2 in off-centered mistake with trying to get away with the mistake before he left my apartment, lies, insults, manipulation, abusive and self-aggrandizing responses and comments, 2) pointing out irrelevant facts, for example, that I was happy when he left my apartment and kind when I walked him to the door and posting an irrelevant picture (clearly not what I ordered and not centered from my pictures) 3) lying about telling me if I needed anything to let him know when he left, 4) lying about it taking me hours before notifying him about the problem 5) lying when he says "hours later You said you wanted $200 refunded for the 1inch of extra mirror that actually doesn't look bad." He's still not taking responsibility for his mistake saying that because I did not notice that the mirror was off-centered until after they left my apartment then it's not a problem-- putting the onus for his mistake on me. Not only is he shifting blame onto the customer but it shows a lack of skill if he himself did not know it was off-centered before he left. It shows his lack of integrity to then leave me with the off-centered mirror without saying anything to me before he left. And still, over two weeks later he has not once shown concern over not installing the mirror I ordered. Within 30 minutes, not hours, alone in my apartment I was very disappointed with the mirror and my altered view when gazing out my windows. When I first texted him he very quickly offered me $25. This indicates that he knew before he left and was trying to get away with his mistake all along. I responded that I might feel satisfied with more like a $200 credit, showing my desire to try and work it out with him. He extremely quickly agreed to and sent $200 via PayPal, after first saying it would take a week. I sat with his off-centered mirror just an hour more before realizing I was still not satisfied. I immediately told him how I still felt disappointed about the mirror and said I thought I needed it replaced with the mirror I ordered (at the original price) or a full refund. I also then expressed my concern about needing to have the mirror removed when I move out because my property manager would not accept it off-centered. The fact that he is still complaining about me changing my mind is another example of him shifting blame onto me and not taking responsibility for not delivering the mirror I ordered. Horrible experience. I will be sure to contact the BBB. *I just noticed his response includes lies about me talking about sex and being an unkind person who finds joy in others' suffering. This is the abusive side he showed me while I attempted to work out a solution with him and why I felt I had to write this review. I think he must've known before he left my apartment that the mirror was cut 1 1/2 inches too wide on the right but decided to try to take advantage of me because of my invisible disabilities with this kind of bullying and harassment. I told him upfront that I'm on disability asking if his company and the glass company provide discounts under the Americans with Disabilities Act. I'm in this apartment under the ADA. With them in my apartment for so over three visits I was always friendly and spoke about many things including why I was so excited to have the mirror installed--almost turning 50 years old and just joining a bodybuilding competition team--and about the only man I have ever fallen in love with who I happen to miss terribly. He has also apparently been trying to dig up dirt on me, continuing to make this about what a horrible person I am instead of his off-centered mirror, because he has threatened me with a screenshot from somewhere on social media from who knows how long ago that he takes as "proof." The fact that my disabilities are due to a tremendous amount of early childhood and adolescent sexual trauma makes this new abusive response to my review an especially evil kind of abuse.
