Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience here. Like many places, it can be hit or miss and this visit was definitely a miss. I came in for a simple men's haircut, a low fade/taper with some length left on top. I clearly mentioned several times that I didn't want the back and sides taken too high. The stylist suggested starting with a #1 buzz, but my main priority was keeping the fade low. She also mentioned that Great Clips doesn't typically do tapers or low fades, which I found surprising since those are pretty standard elements of a basic men's haircut. She added that this type of cut is usually handled by a barber. That explanation was unexpected and made me question whether it was a matter of experience or a limitation in training for this kind of style. I won't mention her full name, but her initial was "M." Unfortunately, once the haircut was finished, the back and sides were cut very high exactly what I had specifically asked to avoid. read more

After multiple fails at two other big names in the hair cutting game, I came through to Great Clips. I called beforehand and was told they are walk ins only, but usually pretty available. Upon my arrival, Stephani was ready to rock! I will say, best service I have ever had for a hair cut. She kept up with conversation the whole time, a master with the foil razor, and sold me on the tea tree leave in cream - which has made the skin feel beautiful on my buzzed sides.. Awful, just awful. I had deliberately asked for a scissor-only cut to a messy-ish sort of mod cut. Not too long, not too short, where there is plenty of length left around and volume in front. Ignoring this, the barber (older woman with large glasses), gave me an unlayered, shitty haircut that made me appear as though I was 7 years old. I came here yesterday for the first time in several years and had a positive experience. I came in for just a basic cut, all one length and very long bangs/fringe. Monica was the stylist and she was very professional, friendly and kind. My last haircut I did myself, so needless to say it was uneven. She evened everything out without taking off any unnecessary length (I'm keeping it long). Overall a good experience and I'd come back for her next time. read more

I specifically asked for shorter on the top with a fade and instead they basically just buzzed my entire head. No fade, no shape, no attention to what I actually asked for. If I wanted a buzz cut, I would've said that. The stylist didn't check in, didn't clarify, and just went straight to clippers. I was so traumatized that I need to wait 2 weeks to write this for my head to feel confident. I could not stand looking at my bald head on the reflection of my phone screen. Horrific experience here today , ask for a simple "clean up" around the edges . 10min job tops turned into a nightmare and lady did the complete opposite, after noticing I didn't like my haircut she (oriental lady ) got upset and grabbed me from the necktie at one point to stay seated .which choked me for an instance ! I got a men's haircut and the barber cut SOOO much of my hair off. I asked for extra length on top, but now my hair is all lopsided and uneven. I got a fade on the back and sides and the fade was not blended well! You see dark spots with hair and light spots with no hair and it looks so uneven and splotchy. The barber did not have any experience with fades at all. Also while she was shaving the sides of my head, my hair kept getting caught in the electric razor because the blades were probably very dull or clogged with hair. And the barber kept using super fast jerking motions to shave my hair. It felt like my hair was being ripped out of my skull, very painful experience. This place is definitely not worth it. I picked this place cuz I had a $10 coupon and it was very cheap compared to other places, but now I have to live with ugly hair for the next 5 months until it grows back, PLEASE learn from my mistake. Saving a few bucks on your haircut is not worth the 5 months of trauma afterwards. read more

Came to GreatClips skeptical but desperate, didn't care what I got, just needed something. The name Great Clips wasn't really selling much to me to be honest. In retrospect, it should maybe be something more honest.. like Perfect Clips. Absolutely love what I got. I have been coming here for about a year now. I have had nothing but solid haircuts until I met LORRY! Warning... AVOID LORRY! It seems like no one in the shop likes her. She's always grumpy and doesn't really care for cutting hair. Every other lady here does a fantastic job. Lorry seems to be the bad apple out of the tree. I got set up by Antonella almost immediately, who is definitely top 3 friendliest stylists I've ever worked with! The business was clean and professionally kept. This was the first time taking my two kids into this salon. We have been going to Cool Cuts 4 Kids, which is great, but a little more expensive. I did not have any issues in Great Clips with my son or daughter's haircuts and was very happy. Walked right in and got on the waiting list; I loved how you get a text message when your place in line is coming up. The only thing I wish they would have asked, is if it was my first time and given me a $2-3 off for first time customers. We will be back. read more

Evening employee constantly refuses to cut hair during operating hours. This is the second time she refused service. Shop closes at 8 and first time I was told they won't cut hair after 730pm. Went in to with the same 8pm closing time at 637pm and was told they won't cut hair after 630pm. This is ridiculous... Someone in management needs to fix this read more
